yes face, the most important part of a woman I guess for me it is.
It's because she's joined in the tick tock thot style of grotesquely overdone, oily make-up and whore styles. Now she's just any old disposable social media clone.
>It's because she's joined in the tick tock thot style
Ok, I understand, she is doing the same like Millie Bobby

The first season was OK, the second season, while taking place in a different universe - with the ability to see many more - was devoid of wonder.
Honestly, the more I think about all the fantasy shows that have come out in the last few years, none of them hold a candle to LOTR/Tolkien and Narnia/Lewis. They're completely soulless. Almost like the authors had a certain special...something that all these other writers/showrunners can't replicate. Odd.
It's impressive that they made a magical world just... drab. For all it's problems, the movie looked great.
I think getting rid of Lyra's compulsive lying just about sums up the issue with the writing. They clearly wanted to make her a perfect inspirational hero and in doing so, made her boring. She has no personality other than being moody and headstrong but for some reason every person she meets can't stop talking about how amazing she is. All these little bits where they file of the edges, smooth things out, "fix" issues with the series just serve to remove its personality.
It's 2022, it's been almost 30 years since it was written. In that time we've been flooded with adventurous children's fiction and hundreds of pieces of media where the church were the bad guys. You can't carry a story based purely on that.
But yeah, all these adaptations are coming out mediocre because they're being given to showrunners who think they can "fix" the greatest works of that genre and instead of doing a proper adaptation, they write the story they want to write.
post the pic of her in the mask to refresh my memory.
