>make a "historical" movie
>its absolutely nothing like the actual history and actively shits on it and anyone who likes it
>fans of that period don't watch it for those reasons
>executives write it off as "people just don't want to see historicals anymore!"
Dull, dreary colors and lighting are to disguise bad CGI.
Reminder that the medieval times were no where near as bad as they were depicted, and that the early days of the Indistrual Revolution were FAR FAR worse. If you reached adulthood, you were expected to reach your 60s and the average peasant barely worked during plentiful harvests.
Cope and seethe.
>drastic famines and historical plagues due to filthy conditions that lead to unprecedented amount of death
>"not that bad"
lol. lmao even
The congo stats 1900-1910 are bullshit
>uhhh modern authoritarian dictators killed a bunch of people so that means medieval was le gud xD
Reminder that the bubonic plagues killed 30 to 50 percent of the entire population of Europe. Between 75 and 200 million people died in a few years' time, starting in 1348 when the plague reached London. And that was all because people were filthy as fuck back then
>people died from plague so that means modernity was le gud xD
>if someone says past time was bad that means they think current time is le gud
Your feeble grasp of logic leads me to believe you're a chud
No, it had to do with the rat flea abandoning the dead rats and chewing the hell out of everything else, including farm animals and pets. Which also died in droves.
That's not how plagues work retard. Plagues come from animals, both plagues were sourced from mongolian rats. That's right, the Mongols may not have conquered Europe but they left a plague that destroyed everything after they left.
The plague wouldn't have ravaged Europe to such an extent if they took more than one bath a year and didn't live like animals. There were plagues after the medieval times and those plagues weren't nearly as disastrous for this very reason
Keep coping, keep seething
A bath will not save your ass from flea infestation nor will it kill the eggs.
There was hygiene in the Middle Ages and archeological evidence proves it. However, population growth, clothing habits due to the difficulty of obtaining fibers, and historical timing set the stage for a massive plague.
And living in flea infested shitholes was the match that lit the fuse
Bubonic plague was uniquely lethal & spread easily, it was just as lethal in the 6th century and that was with the Byzantines and their hyper investments into baths and aqueducts
Do we know how many people Genghis killed? Do you think he'd place?
Yes but he probably evened it out with all the women he impregnated
All of these things ended before I was born. I'm a millennial.
leopold 2 did not murder 15 million people
there weren't even that many in the congo and there were no records and disease probably did most of the damage
Commie bros we stay winning, 78 million let’s gooooooo
>x axis doesn't start at 0
Lies, damned lies, and statistics
>source is some book written in 1964, height of israeli commie educational infiltration
yeah no thanks!
>two major epidemic outbreaks causing population loss in 600 years means that entire time was horrible
lol. lmao even
no, they had baths during the industrial revolution. Medievals had no hygiene
They sure as fuck *did.* Paris had like several dozen public baths, regulated by law to keep criminals and hookers out.
>the early days of the Indistrual Revolution were FAR FAR worse
This is what retarded communist college kids actually lie about to demoralize their countrymen.
Marx was in favour of it, retard.
Why is argentina calling the shots
You have to present the past as dreadful to make the present seem tolerable by comparison. Medieval Paris had the same amount of human shit on the streets, but they didn't have anyone OD'ing on fentanyl. That's why you have to start adding in prima noctis, witch hunts, dungeons filled with hundreds of emaciated peasants serving life sentences, and the lord's men patrolling the fields with crossbows and whips to keep the serfs working.
>modern historical movie/tv
>its ALWAYS about vikings because all it takes to make them is slapping on some leather jerkins, erecting some thatch and timber mudhuts and having a dozen people grumble at each other on some dude's farm for a few days
Plus they can use that setting to suck Islamic cock as Vikings are known to do.
Throwback to them trying to burn down the mosque of Seville
now good
then bad
OK now post the one where he complains they don't make Ancient Greece gay enough
Decades ago, there was a popular author who had several of his books translated into made-for-tv movies (usually 2 or 3 episode mini-series)
> a 'historical' movie
In most of his books, the main characters crossed paths on a regular basis with several famous characters throughout history.
That was a good book set. Hate to admit I got hard when Amanda got raped and kidnapped.
>Your feeble grasp of logic leads me to believe you're a chud
Chud confirmed, cope and seethe ideally back in your containment board
>make “historical” movie set in europe
>everybody is sick, dark sky, shit on the streets, toothless whores etc
>make “historical” movie set in arabia/asia
>beautiful gardens, women are dressed graceful in bright colored robes, bazaars look magical etc
>make “historical” movie set in arabia/asia
I fucking wish. 99% of historicals made in the west are set in either Roman/post roman Europe or post colonial America.
>w-well those countries should make their own movies about their history! People should only make movies about their ancestors and never do anything imaginative ever!
No fuck off, I want cool movies about the Aztecs and the Bronze age and I want them to have decent budgets and competent casts. We did it in the past, why stop?
Lack of interest owing to an utter lack of classical education, I expect.
>what is the Islamic Golden Age
the funniest part about the entire period was that the Middle Ages European understanding of Aristotle came from the first of a two-book work of a Muslim scholar named al-Ghazali; his second work shat on Aristotlean science (as opposed to faith-based reasoning) so convincingly that it all but ended the rational era in the Islamic world.

Please keep dumping your soijak folder, your malding entertains me
is still seething
>Please keep dumping your soijak folder, your malding entertains me
Historical movies are as accurate as sci-fi movies, history itself is as accurate as sci-fi, its all propaganda.
t. nazi commie or some other extremist loser
>Medieval times were colorful and happy
Go have fat people sex between a bucket of chicken
Back in medieval times it was very expensive for the average person to dye their clothing.
So most people's clothing was brown/grey.
Only some dyes were expensive, others were available depending on the area or as an agricultural by-product.
People wore colors because they did not want to be considered lower class. Colored fabrics such as black or purple were expensive, contrary to what you see in the movies.
Europe is cloudy and they didn't have high-quality fabrics in the middle ages, it isn't that deep. Also they would pour shit on the streets, stop romanticizing that era
>The man walking on the outside of the sidewalk and letting the woman be inside is so that if somebody was chucking piss out the window it would land on him instead
Why would there be a sidewalk
This was The Last Duel, Senile Scott fuming people don't like historicals when in reality people don't want a goyslop Rashomon #BelieveAllWomen film
I blame Ridley Scott for single handedly perpetuating this meme. God what a shitty filmmaker
