What about you? Why can't you find a girl to settle down with? Why do you waste your time shilling for your corporate overlords and their israelite handlers?
NTA but no. Even so I don't think the death penalty is a good policy because of how much the state fails in getting the correct person and that research really proves it isn't really a crime deterrent.
It's simply too half assed in a Democratic setting
The expenses and lengths people go to make it a "humane" thing not really wildly applicable take off any potential deterrent it could offer
nah, it should just be enforced differently
like in Japan, there should be like one appeal max, and then the date for the execution is set in secret, one day you just wake up and you'll be told it's today.
And the family should pay for the bullet.
>How bad could the audio of his death have really been?
Listening to someone die is a pretty terrible experience anon.
Right but I mean relatively speaking. Does it still exist? Can we not hear it? I don't care but I like Herzog in general. Maybe if any money is made he could donate it.
>Does it still exist? Can we not hear it?
Allegedly. Werner told treadwell's mom to destroy it but who knows if she did. But it's highly unlikely it will ever leak, unless someone steals the tape and uploads it to the internet.
I heard the audio of that one Russian girl who got eaten by a bear on a phone call and that was pretty fricking bad.
Link?
you morons want to experience some obscure death scene like that, and you don't realize most normies don't even understand even more basic deaths.
e.g. Hollywood always has the delusion old people die on their deathbed peacefully; that's absolutely moronic; they get a shot of adrenaline from their brain as a last hurrah for their last seconds until they die and it's horrifying to them.
if you don't believe me ask any doctor or nurse who sees actual deaths on a daily basis.
It is interesting in the doc when it is revealed that Tim was voted most likely to be turned into bear shit in his high school yearbook. He should have seen it coming really.
i gotta say he lasted way longer than he had any right to
everyone blames him for the gf's death but in the end she's an adult and it was her moronic decision to go with him
No one mentioned in the movie that the bears felt threatened. They sensed no fear in this guy and he walked right up to them, unheard of in the bear world as anything else runs away. They sensed something wasn't right but couldn't put their paw on it so they didnt chance it. Then one day of course some bear who did not give a frick whether it lived or died was like frick this guy and ate him.
They explicitly mention in the film that none of the regular bears Treadwell interacted with were the ones that ate him, and the very likely culprit was one from the remote regions of the park that went into that area because of fish scarcity or something
Okay? Doesn't sound like related to what I said at all. One guy said the bears took pity on him. Obviously not. They knew Treadwell wasn't scared but they didn't know why and were wary. They didn't know he was just some insane moron.
I don't know what you're talking about, film is masterpiece.
It takes one of those things you read in the internet about some idiot doing some stupid thing like >darwin awards for surfer dumbass who thought he could speak to bears
And takes you through a big journey exploring and humanizing the guy, making you understand, even if obviously not agree, with what led him there. All the while with the always frequent theme in Herzog's work of nature being perilous, unpredictable and completely destructive not matter how much man studies and technologically advances
It's the epitome of SOVL
no it isn't, it's fricking boring as shit and you don't really learn anything about treadwell that isn't spoonfed to you in the first ten minutes
and that's what this entire movie is, getting spoonfed by herzog who decides to tell you how to feel about everything shown on camera without being able to make any decision
also that scene with him telling that woman to delete the audio >no one must ever hear this!!!
what a fricking drama queen this kraut fricker is, literally playing it up for the camera
what a complete fricking b***h, i was indifferent about him before seeing this movie, but now i can say without a doubt that he is a moronic homosexual that should stay in germany
i've seen better 10 minute youtube """documentaries""" than this piece of shit
also he doesn't humanize anyone, nor did treadwell think he could "speak" to bears >perilous, unpredictable and completely destructive not matter how much man studies and technologically advances
yeah which is his own homosexual philosophy that he inserts while covering the actions of a man that is clearly unintelligent and off his rocker, wow, this taught me such a valuable lesson, i'm afraid to go to the park now, thank you german man, i thought i could talk to friends with bears before but now i know better, your wise words got through to me
you're a midwit Black person and you can take herzog and blow him out your ass
so? it's not like werner took those shots. if anyone really wanted to "honor" treadwell or do a proper documentary then we should've gotten a documentary without any narration that just takes us through his recordings chronologically and has the balls to end with his death
that would have been a documentary, not this dr phil tier brainlet shit like "nature is dangerous mmmkay"
>no it isn't, it's fricking boring as shit >i've seen better 10 minute youtube """documentaries""" than this piece of shit
I'm sorry zoom zoom. It isn't a Fortnite documentary that you love so much and requires an attention spam greater than 10min
You should stick to watching let's plays or Black person's music videos
but it's boring because herzog is a terrible director
as i said
so? it's not like werner took those shots. if anyone really wanted to "honor" treadwell or do a proper documentary then we should've gotten a documentary without any narration that just takes us through his recordings chronologically and has the balls to end with his death
that would have been a documentary, not this dr phil tier brainlet shit like "nature is dangerous mmmkay"
i would much rather watch the uncut footage or at least get a rougher cut with a lot more hours and without nefarious editing to teach me some life lessons
what herzog made is exactly what you'd find in a 10 minute youtube documentary, and if you think otherwise you are unironically a moron
for this to be classified among the greatest documentaries of all time is a joke and it shows how biased people are, just because herzog made good movies decades ago doesn't mean this was noteworthy
you want to talk about "humanizing" a person then you can look at something like the jinx, not this trash
>no arguments >it's boring because you're stupid
yeah dude this movie made for mass consumption that has a narrator telling you exactly what it is at the start and never once switches anything up nor tries to work on a deeper level was just too much for me, i wish i were as smart as you to understand homemade footage poorly put together by a german man with an agenda
how could i possibly not enjoy sitting there for 2h while herzog takes a shit in my mouth and tells me what to think, that's real ENGAGING AVANT-GARDE work

I read this in your voice mr. herzog, and let me just say I am a moderate fan of your work.
I don't mind him not including the audio because that's probably the greatest invasion of privacy you could commit against another human being, but I wish he'd at least burned the tapes on screen or something. Even though there's another copy in the hands of the police it would have at least provided some degree of finality to the film.
>hearing how he died is an invasion of privacy >but sharing moronic things he recorded on camera for himself and painting him as a clown for all eternity isn't
yeah i don't know dude, if ever die a gruesome death and there's an audio and you can release that or my internet search history, please go with the former
Yeah grizzly man guy obviously was addicted to meth at some point before he got all "spiritual" and "into bears" or whatever. You can tell just by his entire demeanor. No wonder he fricked up and got mauled
bears are mostly peaceful and tolerant. The bear that ate timmy was bullied and had his fish stolen during the season by young healthier bucks
Treadwell was dumb as frick by staying so late in the season because the food was gone and that old rogue was desperate to fatten up before the snow. He also camped directly on the bear trail and made himself a convenient meal

I tried to type out the lyrics for the cringey song but Cinemaphile thinks it's spam for some reason.
The one at the end? Also Herzog is based. His documentary about the death penalty got me to reverse my opinion about it. Now I think it should be abolished
Your opinion on the death penalty is making me rethink my opinion on Herzog.
>ah yes, the ol r*ddit switcheroo
You think a man who beat his wife and kids to death with a metal pole should get to live huh?
The state shouldn't be allowed to kill anyone. Also "An eye for an eye makes the world blind."
>"An eye for an eye makes the world blind."
no it doesn't
1 guy would be left with 1 eye. Either that or a righteous person could break the chain. This is a cynical saying.
Not big on metaphors huh
I just pointed out why the metaphor doesnt work with a metaphor of my own you midwit.
>ghandi quote is bad
>incel quote is good
LOL
and in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king
In other words eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, that saying is a lie.
>IF YOU KILL HIM YOU'LL BE JUST LIKE HIM
I can't believe I'm seeing someone uironically piddling this crap on Cinemaphile
If you kill a murderer, the number of murderers stays the same.
not if you beat them to death with a baby.
and if you kill two it decreases by one moron

It is interesting in the doc when it is revealed that Tim was voted most likely to be turned into bear shit in his high school yearbook. He should have seen it coming really.
This movie was a great unintentional comedy.
>unintentional
Herzog knew what he was doing.
That guy "had no chill". He said what we were all thinking, but he said it in a documentary god knows how many people will watch.
>the bush pilot who kept going on about how fricking stupid the guy was
This movie was a reality check for the "nature lover" types
>i think the bears thought he was moronic
Watched it sunday and it was great. Herzog is a god.
Treadwell was based. I wish more humans would get eaten by bears
