Some Monty Python movies were dull as shit. There's only 3 good ones.
So what? Personally I don't like any of the movies other than Holy Grail. But they were a pioneering force in multiple genres of comedy and their trancendance of form lead way to so many great evolutions that have enriched our modern comedy. Situational comedy? check. Absurd? check. Slapstick? check. Satire? check.
All Nielsen ever was to me was an overwritten Mr. Bean.

Because people are too cynical nowadays. Remember the late 2000's sex comedies from the Apatow school? 40 year old virgin, Pineapple Express, Zach and Miri (Kevin Smith's last professional movie)? They were ment to be the joke every 10 seconds movies. The audience has grown out of it, globally. Only Adam Sandler tier shit for the according audience remains, noone else dares to go the 6GPM (gag per minute) way. And it's probably for the best. The best movie out of that era was what, Tropic Thunder?
