Holy ....fricking shit. I do no have words to express just how epic and sweeping this movie was.... This reminds me of Star Wars in that the music is it's secret sauce. Hearing this and seeing this in theaters must have been something else. I'm obsessed just after seeing it in my dinky home theater.
And god damn the acting... Pattinson, Ferral and the guy who play Gordon where freaking stellar...Suck it Dark Knight this is my Batman...I am so watching this again..the soundtrack is so...ominous.

My beenus weenus of course haha 😀
Greg Fraser carried the entire movie on his back
This is easily my go to movie when I"m depressed
Completely agreed. I was floored by Pattinson. He ties with Keaton as my favorite Batman. He was just like a creature, he walked up, people mocked him, and he tanked bullets and kicked ass, just like Batman does.
He moved like Batman too. I haven't seen such physicality with Batman since Keaton.
Yeah it's really comfy
Like morons here have better opinions
>You're not my dad Alfred
Did a 360 from my monitor and never returned.
Wouldn't a 360 put you right back to facing what you were facing before?
yes and it does.
i really hope you’re a shill because if you’re not then you’re a moron lmao
I cried when the gang of white chuds tried to force an innocent black POC to knockout an asian person. That's totally how it would happen in real life. So powerful.
I also loved how Batman was treated by the other cops... Gordon was his only 'in' and he had to be escorted onto crime scenes... I swear this fricking movie really stayed with me
please refresh my memory... in the heyday of Westerns, did hollywood continue to produce heaps of uninspired flops and dying gasps before ultimately succumbing to irrelevancy and burying the Western as a dead genre? Just want to know what's in store for capeshit if history is any guide
>flop
>750mil gross
>my sides
Kid, superheroes have been popular on the big screen for decades, the 1st Superman & Batman movies in the 70's & 80's were the most popular films of the year. This ain't a fad and nobody will EVER care about your lil asiatic cartoons.
What actually happened was that when Hollywood had reached peak cookie cutter assembly line methodology, indie and foreign films became increasingly popular, eventually cutting into their profits. They adapted by copying those movies, often hiring those filmmakers. They started incorporating new film styles like noir, as well as making stories that were less safe and predictable. It worked, and Hollywood got a second wind.
This cannot happen now for two reasons. First of all, the woke mandate often supersedes profit, either because of ESG money or because the people running things believe their own bullshit and think that they have a moral obligation to make woke shit. The second is that Hollywood is too filled with aging boomers with massive egos who refuse to ever do anything differently. Even though they'll hire people like Nolan and Raimi, they don't give them any creative freedom, so those films end up just being the same old shit.
>Even though they'll hire people like Nolan and Raimi, they don't give them any creative freedom, so those films end up just being the same old shit.
Bullshit. No one's gonna say no to Christopher Nolan. Sam Raimi perhaps.
I mean...he's no Keaton, but this dude beats the hell out of Bale, Bat-fleck, and Kilmer
This Batman should be locked up in Arkham Asylum
Brah...the music when he comes out of the flames and and the penguin is staring in horror.....chefs fricking kiss
I thought Pattinson's Batman was the most intimidating to be honest. The horror movie stings, the walking, the movement, it was like some sort of animal.
I know everyone thought Batfleck was scary, but that crawling on the ceiling shit was goofy, and he was too big to take seriously.
Lol. He looks like a boy in a costume in the long shots.
I disagree. He was completely believable as a Bat-Man and a young Bruce Wayne. Only Keaton and Pattinson have made me feel like no one would be able to guess Batman's identity.
Everyone else was clearly Bruce Wayne in a mask, especially Affleck and Clooney.
The performance was good, I’m mostly faulting Reeves for blocking his shots to make the bat seem so small in a room full of cops
>we've received a mysterious flash drive from a murderer
>no idea what's on it or what it will do
>let's not take any precautions
>let's plug it into a networked laptop, like the proper DETECTIVES we are, so that it can automatically send a bunch of malicious emails if it needs to
I assume it was Gordon's work laptop, so he might've had protective measures installed into it which was why he was so surprised it hacked into it, but idk.
That shit doesn't matter much. It's like saying, "Why didn't Bale use the sonar tech computer after getting Lao to find The Joker?"
>"Why didn't Bale use the sonar tech computer after getting Lao to find The Joker?"
He didn't have mass surveillance version until the end of the movie?
>he didn't have it until the end of the movie
But he made it himself...it's not like Lucius made it and gave it to him
Why didn't he just make it after getting Lao, and use it to end Joker's reign of terror?
Fox even acknowledges that Bruce took it from him and made it into something else, so he could've done it at any time in the film, but chose to only do it at the end
It bothers me more because other movies like Skyfall have already demonstrated why it's a bad idea to allow captured computer hardware from the villain to be networked
What exactly happened in Skyfall?
They capture the bad guy and plug his laptop into the MI6 HQ computers where it takes over the systems with a virus & crashes everything
What if The Batman... was gay?
>SOMETHING IN MY ASSSSSS..... MMMMMMMMMHHHHMMMMMMMM
>Alfred... I'm gay... and also moronic
I know this is a bait post, but I did enjoy the movie. Much better than most capeshit.
needed more Riddler

Yeah well I tought it was the most boring piece of shit ive seen in a while

>underneath the bridge.....
>tarp has sprung a leak.....
Shit movie. Worst soundtrack I've heard in my life. Those annoying fricking high pitched strings. Can never trust the talent to carry a scene and has to have shitty music nonstop. Penguin was great though.
it was a decent film. it has major third act issues and confused thematics, but the atmosphere was memorable and there were some great performances. loved the hardboiled noir angle.
batman begins is still better tho all things considered
The thematic structure of the movie was waaay more solid than the one in Begins tho
baleman begins is way clearer in terms of what it's trying to say. and the plot is clean and lean. patman is bloated and loses clarity toward the end.
