I watched this when I was a kid and I had no idea it was capeshit. I just assumed somebody at the studio had the greatest idea ever.

Wish 3 was just as good as the first two, we could've had another awesome trilogy to add to the list.

It's barely capeshit, really. When this was promoted back in the day most people I spoke to about it didn't even know he was from Marvel comic books, which was considered manchild shit for kissless virgins. The producers knew what they were doing when they made him look like a Matrix character.

Yes. It's a shame that the deleted scene with Morbius never got fleshed out into a working script. I feel like they added that vampire genocide virus to the scriptjust so the director wouldn't have to continue working with Snipes on another sequel.

The main audience for blade was teenage boys/early 20s who would have at least seen the x.men cartoon growing up and were probably watching xfiles each week, star wars was seeing a resurgence in popularity at the time as well. The idea of the homosexual soicuck nerd didn't even exist at the time.

reading comics was defiantly gay, watching the cartoons as a kid was fine but they were regarded as slop only watched by children. Liking starwars beyond going to see it was gay

2 was already trash. blade was fine on his own, we didn't need a 10 man ensemble cast of colorful wannabe-protagonists.

I actually don't remember why but I did. It must've been some domestic reason. If it wasn't Blade 3 it was multiple episodes of Power Rangers so I was definitely up that early. Blade 3 got me hype tho, I'd be leaving to get on the bus repeating "I was born ready motherfricker"

There's got to be at least 10 good capeshit movies.
    >Blade
    >Batman (1989)
    >X-men
    >X-men: Days of Future Past
    >X-men: First Class
    >Robocop
    >Ironman
    >Spider-Man
    >Maybe the first Superman?

Help me out here. Never seen the first Ant-Man, but that one is supposedly good.

Batman Returns is the GOAT superhero movie
Daredevil with Ben Affleck was unironically kino, I'd even put Elektra in there because I'm mega based
      X-Men: The Last Stand
Don't know why you don't have the second Spidey

Robocop is an original IP, not based on comics. Also I'd say Watchmen, The Crow and Kick-Ass are all fine comic book adaptations. I'd throw in The Punisher starring Dolph Lundgren and the Judge Dredd films(both the 90s and the 2010s ones) there too, but not everyone likes those films. And if we're not strictly talking about superhero films, Sin City is good too.

        >Sin City is good too.
Watched it in the theater, didn't like it. But yeah, I think we can get a list of at least ten Kino Capeshit movies. They're not all bad. Fair point on Robocop.

    >His debut as a director was in the 1994 movie Death Machine but it was directing Blade in 1998 that gained him international status as the film became a box office hit. Despite the film's success, he turned down directing the sequel. He directed League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) during which he had such a hard time with Sean Connery, the film's star, that he announced he would never direct another film. He later changed his mind, though as of 2022 he has yet to do so.

    >In 2018, Blade co-star Stephen Dorff said Norrington was making a film with miniatures at his own house. Dorff thought it would take him another decade to complete it.
