I'm not saying it's great or anything, just that it's not the worst Disney Star Wars show (Obi-Wan, Boba Fett and Ahsoka were worse imo). If people didn't feel like the show was made by those that hate them, they'd give it a fairer shake.

That's probably true but if these shows weren't made with political propaganda and vindictive spite in mind they'd be totally different and maybe not as terrible.
What I'm saying is that the real world context of the show seems to be driving a lot of the backlash, rather than the show itself. Obi-Wan for example had so many glaring issues that the criticisms seemed genuine and reasonable. This time it just seems a bit forced and mostly a result of confirmation bias (e.g. focusing so much on a campfire in space).
If one was completely unaware of the wider "culture war" shit, they'd probably enjoy it more because they wouldn't feel like they needed to instinctively oppose it.

What I'm saying is that the real world context of the show seems to be driving a lot of the backlash, rather than the show itself. Obi-Wan for example had so many glaring issues that the criticisms seemed genuine and reasonable. This time it just seems a bit forced and mostly a result of confirmation bias (e.g. focusing so much on a campfire in space).
