I like the scene where the girl takes off her button up at the hospital and shows off her armpits
Too kino
Why do they say it's in Taiwan as if it's a different country from the peoples republic of China?
Go back (to west Taiwan)
Because Taiwan has had a rich cinema culture in and of itself for decades.
Hong Kong always had the most kino of any China/China Subsidiary.
You will never own Taiwan ching-chong
Now go eat a dog and shit in your water supply
how will china ever recover
With the bank crisis who knows.
>Whats with asians and zombie movies
It was made by a white guy though for some reason does live in thailand.
First directed film too
are there any good Asian movies released from 2020-2022?
Several. Try Korea's The Call, for instance
It was very effective. I disliked the anti-men bs angle and the President scene was a little cartoonish and tonally out of place, but other than that it's a good movie, the best zombie movie since I Am a Hero/One Cut of the Dead
>zombie movie
This so much this! I could be watching my favorite capekino instead!
>implying zombie shit is any better than capeshit
pleb homosexual, zombie kino dunks on leddit capeshit
Kys
Yes
>Superhero movie
ai generated thread?
how are my anime reaction images an ai generated thread you double Black person
>Zombie Movie
It's based on an American comic book, anon.
That American comic book was written by an Irish man, anon.
No it isn't. The Crossed was an inspiration but The Crossed itself isn't an original creation like, say, Watchmen, it's a run of the mill setting and aggressive/sadistic zombies isn't an out of the blue trope either.
The Sadness is focused on sexual violence and the plot didn't concern itself with post-apocalyptic group forming or anything like that.
Asian people already naturally look like aliens or freaky beady-eyed goblins, so they’re good for horror movies.
We Are All Dead is pretty good. It doesn't start off roaring in the first episode but the action is fun and gets better as the show goes on. The Kingdom is fantastic there is a movie with a similar premise that came out slightly earlier called Rampant.
>can't stop making kino
Did you already forget about Train to Busan 2?
I kinda liked it, CGI could have been better. I think Snyder used some of the car chase sequence ideas in his atrocious Army of the Dead
Little Zombies was cute
The Sneedness
>zombie movie
The Covid shit at the beginning was really obnoxious. Does it stay with that theme throughout?
The virus theme comes back at the end but essentially it's a zombie outbreak movie with lots of action scenes.
That's not terrible then. I can't recall the last time I saw a movie with such blatant "director talking to the audience" hamfisted commentary as the first five or so minutes. Subway man being a word-for-word incel stereotype was obnoxious as well. I dislike when horror movies are too overtly political and prefer the commentary to be subtext rather than 'hahaha those people calling Covid a hoax sure are stupid right fellow viewers?'
To be far it does complete 180 when government is portrayed as incompetent and virologist from the start as evil
Sort of? The government being incompetent isn't really contrary to leftwing beliefs since Trump was in power when the first outbreaks really started happening.
It's very possible that I'm too cynical from endless Netflix tier garbage being overtly political, but I interpreted this film's primary message as being "people who didn't treat Covid as the huge world ending shit the media kept claiming it was are huge dumb idiots". I think a slightly more satirical take along the lines of "What IF Covid was as bad as everyone said it was?" could have worked but the movie took itself pretty seriously so I couldn't believe it had much tongue-in-cheek.
>the sadness
>asian
Written and directed by a canadian
>They just cant stop making kino
Zombie movies are trashy, very simple to make and have absolutely zero depth.
The rest of the world has given up on the genre decades ago.
>The rest of the world has given up on the genre decades ago.
>what is #Alive
>what is Night Eats the World
>what is Army of the Dead
not saying this movie is good but most western kinos were decades after the height of the genre's popularity,
>zombieshit
PLEASE kys
What is the "Sadness" anyway? No one looked sad.
Based speedwatching moron. Infected are crying troughout the movie and le science guy literally explains that the changes only effect lymbic system so they know what they are doing is bad
That's moronic though. They're making shitty quips and talking about how much they enjoy all the horrible things they do. The doctor presents it as if there is a strong compulsion and it's like trying to resist a craving and inside they're sad/guilty; but the actions of the infected very obviously make it clear that there is no guilt or sense of horror at their own actions.
I got the impression they are crying tears of joy from the intense dopamine rush they are getting through their actions. Sadness is misleading as normal human brain associates tears with sadness. Or in case of doc he has a theory that they are crying as inside their mind they know what they are doing is so wrong yet it feels so good. It is really up to the viewer to make its own judgement.
They also seem to get their rush through the terror and screams it causes in the prey. As soon as their prey starts enjoying their pain they immediately lose interest. Case in point pedobear fricking that eye socket of the chublord. Would explain why they are not attacking each other unless there is nothing else in the surroundings (basketball kids and their coach).
I assume you mean baseball but sure. Except why is the coach enjoying his beatings? There's no real consistency or rules within the virus (including how quickly infection takes to spread or whether it is airborne, bloodborne, or needs to be ingested) so I just chalked it down to style over logic/consistency because it's a horror movie that doesn't need to make sense anyway.
It's also fricking moronic that the president was killed since there were 4, presumably armed, military personnel that weren't able to restrain the one guy before he popped the grenade.
It's bloodbased. Nobody who got the virus didn't have some kind of fluid exchange with the infected.
>It's also fricking moronic that the president was killed since there were 4, presumably armed, military personnel that weren't able to restrain the one guy before he popped the grenade.
Yes that was a silly moment. The ending was silly too, implying she died and all.
Blood based as in actually entering the bloodstream or just ingesting would be enough? The first infection we saw spread was from having saliva into someone else's mouth and they were infected in less than a minute. I don't believe that even the direct bloodstream contamination caused infection that quickly.
Also if it's bloodborne it is completely unrealistic that the ~15-20% infection rate claimed in the broadcast would actually happen. Covid itself is airborne but we didn't see that kind of infection rate.

Bloodbased was the wrong word
Fluid-exchange would be better.
The virus is in your fluids.
>I don't believe that even the direct bloodstream contamination caused infection that quickly
I think it was them bleeding and vomiting and stabbing the clean people 😐
>Also if it's bloodborne it is completely unrealistic that the ~15-20% infection rate claimed in the broadcast would actually happen. Covid itself is airborne but we didn't see that kind of infection rate.
I agree. This was silly.

Train to busan is boring as is squid game and parasite. Korean cinema already peaked in the 2000s
You sound boring
You are a disgrace to The Society of Eternal Contrarians. I spit on you good sir! Barely acceptable take would be that the only kino worth your time is Best Koreas cinema.
parasite is overrated buts its definitely not as bad as squid game
