maybe between katz and john, but the comedians were basically the scripted pre recorded bits with dr katz dubbed over
home movies, especially the first season, felt like some friends just talking
The comedian segments were just them doing their act basically. I meant the story segments.
What are some good scenes in Dr. Katz?
I don't mean it in an antisemitic way, but Curb's humor is way more israeli/observational, whereas Home Movies is way more ridiculous in a nonsense type of way. As another anon mentioned, a lot of the show comes off as two friends talking to each other in a fricking-around type of way.

Man, shows should bring back the squiggles. I know they were ditched because audiences reacted poorly, but Ed Edd n Eddy was around the same time and they kept with it for a full decade, and people say they love that. Maybe it's a generational thing, since Home Movies was seen mostly by adults while EEnE was seen mostly by kids, but that just means the time is right: everyone who was at least 7 when EEnE first aired is in their 30s now and would be totally nostalgic.
