No I still use slang that can be dated back hundreds of years. Funnily enough the racist slang, along with words like homierdly, scares the current generation, not my grandparents.
The internet accelerated how quickly slang has to be made to keep old people out of the loop, which is the whole point of slang. Shit like UrbanDictionary made it too easy for adults to quickly understand and start adopting slang. This has subconsciously left zoomers with a single counter-measure to separate themselves from older generations:
Create slang that sounds so utterly, abhorrently, moronic nobody but them would want to use it.
Oh. And that's another way slang seems to end up being created: stupidity. Some slang really just originates from using other words wrong, like how the dictionary definition of "literally" now includes it being a synonym for "figuratively".
Simpsons fans are too conservative, maybe the show is not bad these days, but sometimes they try something different and get criticized for it. when they started making FG cutaways people criticized it and they stopped making it, nobody wants the show to be funny or inventive anymore
The problem is these are characters were very specifically created for 90s American life. The attitudes are all wrong so It’s not ever going to be well received for Homer simpson to have drip or Bart being a vtuber or whatever other nonsense is going on. I remember Marge being afraid to say crap or some other basically inoffensive “swear” in a recent-ish episode. Marge is mid 30s and no modern 30 year old cares about swearing on tv when naked breasts has been pretty normal on HBO for a while now.
They just gotta let the show die. I love the Simpsons. The first 10 seasons are tied for my favorite show of all time. But just let them die.
>very specifically created for 90s American life.
A bit more 80's, no? They show was huge in the 90s, but it was created earlier.
Anywho, modern Simpsons is like the Flintstones having hand-held flat-slab telephones
looks like a shitty jacket
>this is how modern simpsons """""writers""""" mimic teenagers
>drip
What happened to the English language?
Think of it this way, the slang you grew up using scared your grandparents as well.

Ah so old black slang logic
Black slang is just an extension of the same logic. Except substitute "kids" for "blacks", and "adults" for "police".
Baka as in the Japanese word for idiot?
No, s m h, it's filtered apparently.
Oh. And that's another way slang seems to end up being created: stupidity. Some slang really just originates from using other words wrong, like how the dictionary definition of "literally" now includes it being a synonym for "figuratively".
I keep reading "baka" as "somehow". I thought abbreviations like that died out with T9 phones.
Americans ruined it because they're moronic.
Same way they ruined Spanish.
Turns out Americans ruin everything they get their hands on.
Alright Brother! These damn American cats are groovy or DY-NO-MITE like when we were young bucks am I right fellow boomers??
