They wasted a lot of it on that chase scene with the crane vehicle trying to re-do terminator 2. Considering what they spent on that, it wasn't even that good of a scene.
I think it's a pretty good action scene >It's not as good as T2 though
STFU retard no one is saying that

You compared it to T2 in your other post, trash.

You have poor reading comprehension. I didn't say it wasn't as good as T2's scene. I said considering what they spent, it wasn't that good of a scene. Typical that you call others stupid.

I think it's a pretty action scene. I don't think you can "blow your budget" on making your action scene look good in an action movie. And I think you are a retarded subhuman. There's nothing to really argue there.

With the kind of thinker you are I think there just might be a place for you at a major Hollywood studio.
Having a female terminator was already an outside bet, since women are inherently much less intimidating than men and have to work very hard to be scary, but then they hired a model instead of a real actress and sunk any possibility for the movie to live up to the first two.
She used seduction to get what she wanted. I actually wish they explored this a bit more and had a scene where she seduces some high-level security clearance guy for information before killing him. But that is the angle they seemed to want to have with her. It's a cute blonde chick infiltration unity, not an intimidating man.

Exactly. It makes more sense as an infiltration unit.
Even top level targets might want to spend time with a nice looking girl. In theory, a cute girl terminator is a brilliant idea as an infiltration/assassination unit.
Casting a woman was a good idea but this girl didn't really work. The guy from T2 was perfect, like the perfect counterpoint to Arnold, not just another tough guy. They just thought "let's do a girl this time" and that was the extent of it.
Given the circumstances, it's almost the best film they could have made considering the limitations they were working under.
They couldn't just remake T2, since just repeating yourself is usually not as successful and fandom usually just roll their eyes. You can't make it smaller and more contained like T1 since... well everyone is still expecting a big movie now that the franchise is a thing.
The first movie was the inevitability of the future coming, the second was about fighting back. That's where the genius of the third comes in: it realizes and accepts that fate will always win no matter how much you fight. It's tragic, despair, absurd comedy of the universe and it just goes for that tone all in.
T2 is still the best, but T3 is the second best: T1 is outdated and going back it's not that good considering some really shoddy pacing.
Why not though? I mean I still love T1, but I think it's mostly a good script and how groundbreaking it was for the time.'
If I take my nostalgia goggles though, the pacing and clunky effects do drag it down. It's just like the original Alien, it's just not a movie that in itself aged well even if it's still a good movie on merit of a good script and characterisations.
Idk, I personally don't think T1 has aged that poorly other than the very last scene where the T800's skin is completely shed off and the stop motion model is shown. Even that scene... I don't hate it. Just a product of its time, but the other 97% of the movie still holds up. At least for me.

spoken like a true homosexual. t2 is for the action junkies, t1 and t3 are for the thinking men. kill yourself for thinking an overrated action masterpiece somehow trumps cerebral scifi.
Was it low budget?
No it was an expensive as hell movie. Other than the cgi, the practical effects were amazing.
They wasted a lot of it on that chase scene with the crane vehicle trying to re-do terminator 2. Considering what they spent on that, it wasn't even that good of a scene.
>they wasted a lot of the budget of an action movie on the action scene
peak retardation
It wasn't a good action scene. That's the point. It just has a lot of explosions and looks expensive.
I think it's a pretty good action scene

to me this whole movie is just dude and chick in the back of a truck talking about mike kripkes basement
the whole franchise and timeline is so fucked it cant get any worse anyways
It's great if you aren't a terminator autist.
No you didn't
Yes, yes I did, in fact. Arnie still had it too. This is probably the last movie Arnold did before he became a bit too old for this kind of shit.
I actually kind of enjoyed Genisys
OHHH GOOD FOR YOU
Why thank you
AND HOW WAS IT?

Being female is irrelevant as it's a cyborg.
Exactly. It makes more sense as an infiltration unit.

A weapon to turn my pp hard?
Even top level targets might want to spend time with a nice looking girl. In theory, a cute girl terminator is a brilliant idea as an infiltration/assassination unit.
I have a soft spot for this and it is a good action movie. But Terminator 1 and 2 is where the series ended and it should have stayed that way.
Casting a woman was a good idea but this girl didn't really work. The guy from T2 was perfect, like the perfect counterpoint to Arnold, not just another tough guy. They just thought "let's do a girl this time" and that was the extent of it.
She is so hot and sexy. Her movie about Nibelungen she was sexy there.
Given the circumstances, it's almost the best film they could have made considering the limitations they were working under.

I like that T3's ending is bleak as fuck, but no way that it's better than T1.
i like the ending to T3 because of the implication

i think the whole damn movie is awesome
the female terminator thing is ridiculous and ruined the whole movie
