Girlboss fatigue and people understandably thinking it is a girlboss movie (it's not). Hollywood's fault for releasing slop for almost a decade.
The film likely would've done better if it had been released 2 years after Fury Road as originally planned.

Did you even watch the movie?
Or rather, have you even seen any of the Mad Max movies?
If anything, posts that don't even talk about movies and are instead just gays seething at murican politics or spamming ragebait are the bots.

Probably more to do with everyone being poor and already seeing DUNC 2 this year

This. Movie tickets are so expensive now, idk about in America but in Australia it's like 15 AUD a ticket in your standard kinoplex, taking a whole family to the movies is extremely costly now compared to streaming.
Also, audiences have been burnt by so much garbage. I remember in 2008 I went to the cinema every single week because there was something good out, now this year we've had Dunc, Furiosa and Apes, that's about it.

True, but more than that: No one EVER cared about Mad Max. The Road Warrior was always a cult movie at best.

why is it mens responsibility to watch movies aimed at women? it's like making a hallmark movie aimed at young men and being mad all the middle aged house wifes didn't turn up

Mad Max is an action franchise that appeals to young men with high test. American young men don't like feminist films because it doesn't align with their cultural or political views. You can make the loudest, action packed crashy bashy blockbuster imaginable but if men feel like you're pushing feminist crap, they will not buy a ticket.
George Miller got soft in his older years, he literally wrote a BMWF romance film with his daughter about how great immigration is for Britain. He's absolutely lost it the sheltered Liberal nutter. It's a shame, he could've made at least 2 more Mad Max movies if he'd just kept them Mad Max movies.

      >80% from Fury Road.
That's complete crap. I know a lot of women who liked Fury Road but they all watched it on streaming after it became the latest flavour of the month. Only me and my war boys went and saw it at the kinoplex... multiple times.

lol no way, only exxtreme tomboys (based) were into the Mad Max movies early enough to be into Fury Road in theatres

Why are they like this? Same thing with western video games. Their new target demographic was never interested and never will be interested in the subverted product they're selling.

The funniest shit is how this is linked to Mad Max supposedly being unpopular. You killed Mad Max by not watching Furiosa! Bullshit. They'll justify anything they want because justification is opaque and after the fact.
    >If Furiosa flops: "That means nobody wants Mad Max anymore! Cancel it!"
    >If Furiosa succeeds: "That means everybody prefers Furiosa to Max! Cancel Mad Max and let's get more Furiosa!"
That's the reality of this shit. Trying to bait or guilt actual Mad Max fans into liking this garbage is a trap.

      >That's the reality of this shit. Trying to bait or guilt actual Mad Max fans into liking this garbage is a trap.
I went to the theater with 5 guys, 3 were mad max fans. All of them thought it was not quite as good as fury road but still a great movie. Their reasons for liking it less had to do with more with the pacing and technical stuff like editing and effects than it being "woke" or whatever
