Cabin the woods
Just Evil Dead and The Thing pretty much
Night of the living dead
because life with a woman is true horror
Final Destination
majority of horror movies are made for women because
>oooh noo i hope the creepy thing wont get me
is an entirely female thing.
horror movies made suitable for men are often more about exploring interesting concepts like the thing or event horizon and those do in fact have male leads.
So you're saying it plays on women's rape fantasies?
>So you're saying (the thing you implied)
yeah?
women are in horror films because both women and men want to see women get violated. the only times when it's a male protagonist when it's a movie about what would happen if there was a portal to hell in space instead of just running away from the killer with a knife
Return of the living dead

There isn’t a single male character in this movie. What are you talking about?
>he wants to see a man panting and sweating profusely in those intimate closeup scenes
just admit you're a homosexual
>immediately associates a sweating man with gay sex
>accuses others of being gay
buddy ...
the sole reason hot girls get cast in horror movies is to get them sweating and panting in closeups, you actual fricking moron.
no you dumbass, it's because women are weaker and running away is how they face threats. a man running away is just weak. men are expected to fight back. the viewer sympathizes with the woman in distress and mentally takes part in her flight, leading to immersion and thrill. you would understand this if you weren't a homosexual.
how the frick does this relate to the conversation we're having about why most horror films feature hot women instead of men?
It's more complicated than that. It's for the pure virgin girls to survive while the prostitutes get chopped into little pieces.
It's both.
Jack frost 2: revenge of the mutant killer snowman
Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge is probably the best example of a man in distress. And yeah, it was made really gay on purpose, but I still love it.
I just finished watching this scene on the documentary called Broke which is back on at Netflix. always funny to watch
>film genre for women
>gets mad at female protagonist
It's okay if I am sexually attracted to them.
The Collector was refreshing since the main character is a very capable man.
it's a male protagonist when the antagonist is two hot girls
>male protag
>put yourself in his shoes
>all you can think about is how you'd fight the monster
>female protag
>don't project and pretend you are her
>she feels vulnerable and fighting the monster directly is much less of an option
>also activates your primal sense of fear/concern seeing a woman in danger
For me it activates my primal desire to see women get hurt. I put myself in the killer's shoes
forgot my selfie
I don't feel concern for women in horror movies. I want Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees to win.
screaming and crying
Hostel (2005), i think it's one of the only horror movies to have a all male main cast, most of the movie is torture porn but the part where the protagonist finally escapes the torture room and fight his way out of the place is genuinely kino, he also brutally kills the villain at the end. The sequel that had a female cast sucked.
