American accents are actually pretty distinctive and so, just like the British accent, it isn't all that hard to pull off.

The frick!
Because all british people fake their accents.
You're welcome.
It's because Americans actually pronounce words. The British have gotten lazy with their own language over the decades. That's why we say water and they say wo'err. We say isn't it and they say innit. We say fish AND chips they say fishnchips. So it's easier for Brits to fully pronounce a word properly than it is for Americans to speak like morons.
A rare thing. In fact, struggling to recall any good examples. Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan voice isn’t perfect but it’s fine. He can’t do a rougher London accent well.
What gets me is there are people who can't do any accent at all or even attempt it. It all sounds perfect to them. Pajeets for instance literally can't tell a difference between an American talking and them talking. Chinese are really bad at this as well. I know it's your first language but you can't hear that you sound nothing like us?
Maybe it's a development thing idk.
American accents generally have a lot of sounds that are easy to replicate. I could probably learn every accent in the US in a few hours but couldn't do a Geordie accent if you put a gun to my head.
They get a lot of practice making fun of us.
for real??

When you say British you’re thinking of one specific type of Londoner
>That's why we say water
Most of you say warder.
Lmao where? Never heard anyone say "warder".
He's right, I don't think Americans even notice. It's like Brits with the glottal stop.
>It's like Brits with the glottal stop.
Half of my family (incuding me) does this and the other half doesn't. We're all from the same place.
You must be deaf then because the vast majority if not all US accents pronounce a soft D instead of a hard T.

What I don't understand is Scottish folk doing an English accent that sounds nothing like Scottish
how bad

David Tennant & Martin Compston can pull off English when actually being Scottish
Try understanding Irish
haha i can see his weiner
why is it so small
you can tell it's israelitecurmcised yuck
that automatically makes it cleaner albeit

I'm Russian and I get mistaken for an American all the time.
American accents are easier to pull off.
I'm also ESL and can do it perfectly but my British comes off like a parody of Michael Caine.
>but my British comes off like a parody of Michael Caine.
Not uncommon, I know a few different ESLs from around the world and they always that accent kek
A vintage sounding transatlantic accent is harder to pull off than both. It's essentially a symbiosis of both.
>but my British comes off like a parody of Michael Caine
kek!

Surrounded by American media our entire lives
This makes the most sense to me. You could probably do an American Southern accent as well as most Americans

>fastforward to 2024
>Kick ass is the new James Bond
What a time we live in .
