Is she a Christian? A good Narnia adaptation can only be made by a Christian, just like only a israelite can make a good adaptation of Fiddler On The Roof.
>don't believe that Jesus was actually God >deny the Trinity
That used to be a fairly common tenet of Christian faith until the Trinitarians shat up everything by using politics to push their fanfiction on everyone.
>That used to be a fairly common tenet of Christian faith until
No it wasn't. You cannot be a Christian if you do not believe in the trinity. Your baptism is not legitimate.
The Trinity was a literal asspull by a group of priests who realized that Biblical canon was constantly contradicting itself.

Well yeah until the Council of Nicea in like 300AD lol. That's like saying a draft script is the true version of a film. Also, if that is where you draw the line on believing a Middle Eastern fairly tale, you're moronic.

The Bible never mentions the trinity

The Bible independently refers to Christ, Jehovah, and the Holy Spirit as "God." So are you saying Christianity is simply polytheisitic? Additionally, do you also not agree with the ordering of the Bible's books into Old and New Testaments? That was ex post facto, too. What about Revelations? That was written post-Christ's death.

The simplest explanation is that the Bible is rife with errors and contradictory statements because it's just another mythology

That changes nothing I said. The Council of Nicea was just a fanfiction writing convention to iron out numerous theological inconsistencies.

You are literally just incorrect here. It was nothing to do with “inconsistencies” in the scripture but philosophising about the actual nature of jesus. They were extrapolating on what jesus was based on the gospels, literally nothing they debated mentions inconsistencies, it was deduction about what christian doctrine ought to be based on what is in the bible. This is a necessary process literally every belief system goes through by the way, it’s not unique to religion.

bro none of them have read the documents from the council it’s all just stuff they saw reddit say
They're not Unitarians in that sense. That's a Protestant denomination from the 1700s that denied the Trinity.
Unitarian for UU means "Unity". Completely different group. They're crystal ladies and new agers and hippy types, but believe in Christ along with a bunch of other things.
>reality has an eternal, self justifying and non contingent basis, infinite regression and nothing having the property of being able to create doesn’t make sense >literal nothingness is the foundation of all reality
The second is genuinely incoherent
It will be shit but reviewed well and all you homosexuals and nonces will shill it for free regardless. Lots of "Lucy/Susan a cute, I wanna FRICK the White witch, Edmund is literally me" posts to come and more.
She isn't really an iconoclast. She's liberal, but she refused to shit overtly on religion in Ladybird (it's partly based on her own experiences in Catholic school, which weren't all negative). I don't know why she would now.
Oh dear god, they gave Narnia to fricking Gerwig? Prepare for Susan to be the new primary hero of the story instead of a vapid c**t that got banned from narnia heaven. Guarantee you her fate is going to be hung on Peter instead. Probably some kind of sympathy play for the White Witch too, some bullshit like her turning evil because meanie Aslan kicked her out of Narnia and she had to do dangerous things to get back in. Guarantee you the only plotline that will be left unmolested will be Edmund selling out his family for turkish delight.
Peter, Susan and Lucy are all Black
Edmund is a white kid their wealthy, educated family adopted which is why he initially betrays them before turning around
One of them will be adopted I suppose, they will be Mexicans too, the real question nobody's asked yet, how will they make one of them a troony? you know it will happen.
Another thing I’m gonna call is that Narnia’s inhabitants are all gonna be pozzed, and little to no effort will be put into costumes for the extras, if The Witcher is thought us anything
If you want to frick Greta all you gotta do is say "Hey Baby"
Is she a Christian? A good Narnia adaptation can only be made by a Christian, just like only a israelite can make a good adaptation of Fiddler On The Roof.
She is a "Unitarian Universalist," so no. Muslims are closer to actual Christians than Universalists.
>don't believe that Jesus was actually God
>deny the Trinity
Well she's gonna frick Aslan up bad.

Already did. Susan would never stand aside Aslan like that, she loves only the world and her master Satan just like all Unitarians.
>Unitarian Universalist
Directly proportional to saying, “I’m not religious, but I’m spiritual.”
also married to a israelite. she's gonna destroy narnia, the studio will allow her to do whatever she wants with it, because of the success of barbie.
They are Christian adjacent. They're New Agers, but still believe in Christ. See Marianne Williamson.
>unitarian universalist
religitards just make stuff up on the go, dont they
All religions are literally made up
Still not as moronic as thinking everything came from nothing and chance.
i dont know anon, everything being created by a skydaddy sounds a bit far fetched

>a variety of opinions means there’s no truth
I've never read the books, so it doesn't matter to me.
It will be shit but reviewed well and all you homosexuals and nonces will shill it for free regardless. Lots of "Lucy/Susan a cute, I wanna FRICK the White witch, Edmund is literally me" posts to come and more.
Damn, this is the most Cinemaphilened post that ever Cinemaphile'd
woah that's holy shit woah and I mean woah
Gerwig cute and great director
It's going to be a deconstruction and subversion of the Christian values inherent to the original story, of course. What year do you think it is?
I give it over 90% percent that this never even happens.
Watch as they rip all the Christian themes from this Christian series
She isn't really an iconoclast. She's liberal, but she refused to shit overtly on religion in Ladybird (it's partly based on her own experiences in Catholic school, which weren't all negative). I don't know why she would now.
If not her, the producers or the writers
Fantasy and scifi shows have just about 0% change of being good. The more famous the source material is, the more guaranteed it is to be dogshit.

The real question nobody's asked yet
The four main characters are biologically related, how do we make one or more of them Black folk?
Peter, Susan and Lucy are all Black
Edmund is a white kid their wealthy, educated family adopted which is why he initially betrays them before turning around
One of them will be adopted I suppose, they will be Mexicans too, the real question nobody's asked yet, how will they make one of them a troony? you know it will happen.
Elliot (formerly Ellen) Page as Edmund
>how do we make one or more of them Black folk?
At least one of them will be adopted and thus non-white. Although they won't be Black folk but poos.
I don’t know about the main characters but I’m gonna call it, mr. Tunmus is going to be black, I can feel it.
Fitting since he's a Gangster criminal who worships Satan
Another thing I’m gonna call is that Narnia’s inhabitants are all gonna be pozzed, and little to no effort will be put into costumes for the extras, if The Witcher is thought us anything
How are netflix going to contrive this to have a secular humanist message? Thank god LOTR came out before new atheism
