How come in the 90’s when I was a teenager from California I would watch the same vhs tapes over and over and get entertained each time, now I find it difficult to even finish a movie let alone watch it multiple times, i’d lose interest and go on my phone.

Did we get mass ADHD or something? I know some of you feel like this too

        You ain’t lying

back in the 1700s people used to gather around a new painting and look at it for hours just like it was a film. Now people dont even look at one for ten seconds, and even less try and actually figure out what its trying to say.

It's always funny to see people speedwalking through museums and art exhibits and the first thing they do is post about their trip on kikebook

this should have been the prequel trilogy... the third film should have been vader in his suit for the entire thing.

VHS was a commitment. You had to sit and watch the thing. You couldn't skip scenes without getting up and slowly fast forwarding it.
The problem is people wish we still had video stores, but when they forget that DVDs don't have the same type of durability as VHS did. I've rented some at a store in my old town and they'd be scratched to hell.

    >Did we get mass ADHD or something?
We got installed ADHD. (ADHD probably isn't real, anyway).
Especially when Faceberg debuted videos, it counted a videos that autoplayed while scroooling, if they went for over 3 or 5 seconds, as that video being viewed. They told advertisers and "content" producers that ultra-short media was taking off, along with things like vine and music.ally (softcore pedo karaoke heaven) and snapchat that were taking off around that time.
So facebook said that these videos were actually being watched when they were just being scrolled past, and used that to pump up their advertising numbers and thus revenue.
They said that ultra-short videos were successful so that it'd be more believable.
Content mills like buzzfeed, as well as cracked, and israelite york times et al all pivoted to ultra-short videos.
There was a huge lawsuit for facebook over this, but the industry-wide damage was done.
Now of course, we have Douyin: foreign subversion export model, a.k.a. "TikTok".
That works to further limbic-system hijack.

Just meditate and learn to do one thing at a time, and focus on one topic at a time without context-switching. "Multitasking" is bullshit, especially the more masculine or autistic you are.

        about the lawsuit.

        TL;DR
Facebook counted auto-playing videos playing for three seconds or longer as watched.
This wasn't believable for long-form content, and manipulated it saying short-form content was getting watched.
Buzzfeed and every other content mill, college humor for example, all had their "internet engagement" staff saying that short form was all that was working, so everyone industry-wide for TWO YEARS pivoted to sub-minute content, when facebook knew the lie just a month after facebook autoplaying videos debuted.
