Whatever happened to the black guy? He was in this and Utopia in early 2010's. Didn't even get to be in the Top Boy revivial despite being black as coal and a Londoner
Out of those, I expected the Nathan actor to achieve some fame.
And he did get roles in successful or at least somewhat high profile things, like Geostorm, Umbrella Academy, Mortal Instruments, and Mortal Engine (incidentally, up until now I had no idea these last two were not in the same franchise), but he hasn't really made it big.
Instead, the Simon actor got a lot more famous just with his GOT role.
But then, Inhumans kind of killed most of his momentum.
The Rudy actor got some roles, like in Preacher, the girl from the later seasons whose power was just existing had a large role in Peaky Blinders, and Monkey bawd is now in Autist Doctor, I think?
Chav breasts fricked her career by being too based I guess.
>the girl from the later seasons whose power was just existing had a large role in Peaky Blinders
Completely forgot about her and how I wanted to fuccy succ
I suddenly remembered a scene of her fricking the girl who created her as an imaginary friend. The only things I remember from those shitty last seasons was that scene, 3rd Rudy and that God fricking awful ending.
Nathan was played by Robert Sheehan, who was in decent stuff before Misfits, and who has continued working constantly afterwards.
He was a regular main cast member in The Umbrella Academy.
He was in Mortal Engines
Genius
Mute
One season of Fortitude
Love/Hate
Mortal Instruments
The Borrowers
Season of the Witch
Red Riding
And a bunch of other stuff.
I doubt he’s ever been out of work.
A bunch of the projects were things that were probably supposed yo be Big, but didn’t wind ip being so.

, unrelated.
I mean, they're both based on young adult novels, and those are usually all copies of each other in some way, but they're different franchises.
I guess it's just that Rob is the kind of handsome but twinky guy they like to put in these movies to attract women and gays.
Stopped airing years ago and went to shit after they killed off pretty much everyone from the first season, Rudy was the only good part about the rest 2bh. >wot if yer superpowa was u thought u woz in a vidya game? >wot if yer superpowa was u turned into a turtle? >wot if yer superpowa was u becomin a zombeh?
First couple of seasons were cool because the powers weren't super special most of the time, they all just seemed to be defects of character amplified. Went to total shit once everyone started swapping powers.
>powers weren't super special most of the time, they all just seemed to be defects of character amplified.
What was Nathan's supposed to be die? Feel like most people wouldn't want to die
>powers weren't super special most of the time, they all just seemed to be defects of character amplified.
What was Nathan's supposed to be die? Feel like most people wouldn't want to die
Or rather, he wanted to be emotionally invulnerable
Incidentally, I liked the foreshadowing of his powers in the bad timeline where Curtis prevented his own arrest and as a result the black probation worker killed everyone, but Nathan "somehow" survived.
>Incidentally, I liked the foreshadowing of his powers in the bad timeline where Curtis prevented his own arrest and as a result the black probation worker killed everyone, but Nathan "somehow" survived.
I just caught this on a recent rewatch, a nice touch
should have ended after the second or third season. at first is was interesting how they dealt with the situation and the interaction between totally different personalities, there was even something that resembled a storyline but then it quickly became stale end repetitive. dropped it somewhere halfway the 4th season which is something i almost never do
>Show with excellent first season tries to cash in by rushing along future episodes with more "complex" (read: convoluted) writing >Replace most of the main cast with unlikeable protagonists we have no reason to care about >Show swiftly fades into obscurity
It's not a perfect comparison, but it still reminds me of something...
I thought Westworlds problem was they didn't know what to do after the robot/synthetic/whatever uprising. I wish I still had the gigabrain Maeve pics though
Second season was fine and you can tell that they had some idea of what they wanted to do since there was the mystery-Black person that turned out to be Simon time travelling.
First season as a standalone story is 10/10 though. The ending with finally showing Nathan's power was probably the biggest gut-punch I've ever felt in television or film, extremely well done.
Nathan left and after they finished Simon's story in season 2 there was no point for him to stay around and then after that they just wanted to milk it because it was a hit and they couldn't reproduce it

Seasons 1-3 all seemed great to good, imo. By season 4 it was apparent the studio was intent on milking it and the show creator seemed to have lost interest by then. Which sucks because it seemed like there was an overall trajectory for the show beyond just dumb power of the week episodes. Thought they'd wrap it up with a twist that all the powers were meant to teach the people that got them a lesson and everyone except the main cast failed so everyone else just gets burnt to a crisp or something.
Westworld was obviously planned out to two seasons.
The first season was based on ‘Westworld’ the movie.
The later seasons sermed to be partially based on ‘Futureworld’ and the later ‘Beyond Westworld’ TV show, with some anti AI plot points thrown in.
Basically though, HBO’s Westworld, season 1 & 2 seemed like a separate show yo season 3 and season 4.
By then all the original cast had left, the replacements were shit (except for Rudy), the stories got dumber and dumber, and the special effects cheaper and cheaper.

>Simon actor
Honestly surprised he hasn't appeared in anything LOTR related because he looks like a hobbit. Related he's currently playing gay eye candy in Gandalf's new gay sitcom.
I just finished season 3. Should I continue or leave it there? It's a shame most of the original cast is gone but I'm willing to give it a chance if the replacements are any good.
>woah dude we like TOTALLY have super powers. This is freakin awesome!!! >one of the characters is a comic book nerd >subplot about one characters troubled home life where one/both of the parents is abusive >the superpowers are all super cool and badass >no sexualisation of the main characters >almost no cursing
Because, aside from the characters being young horny buttholes, some of them use sexualization or intentional offensiveness as core character traits that lead into plotlines, drama, and character development later on.
You can think this is good or bad, and a show can be good without sexualization and cursing, but these are core traits of this one, and if you don't wanna have those things, why fricking adapt it to begin with?
While we're at it, other core traits are that the characters are shitty people, not just troubled youths from abusive homes; and the powers are reflections of personality flaws or regrets, not awesome or badass.
So it seems like the American pilot went out of its way to miss every point it could.
Fricking burgers.
I watched the first 3 episodes of this show with some random girl I met in a bar who took me to her apartment and then had sex.
Never thought about the show again until now
It's good but everyone stopped caring after Nathan fricked off forever. Great acting from the autist who became Ramsay too, probably his real breakout role
It has a bunch of kino lines I can still remember, from the blonde chav alone: >I fricked a monkey >IT'S AFTERBIRTH DICKHEAD
its s1 and 2 they complete the story everything after is shit, s1 completes nathan who btw gets luck powers instead and fricks up in vegas, then s2 for the completion of barry's arc. Done.
A great example of how nonsensical time travel plots can and will ruin something good. If you stop to think about Simon's/Barry's time travel plan even for a second you realize the time loop makes absolutely no sense.
he tied but he couldn't carry that shit, after s2 the story was done and they limped along anyway, kinda like being human except the second cast had the most based vampire in all of fiction and he could and did carry it
Ok ok, that might be the case. To be fair to the character it was some of Robert Sheehan's acting that bothered me. And I agree that the story took a swan dive, but I'd pin that to season 4. Season 5 was atrocious storywise.
And I'll say it again. Finnley had several moments as funny as either Nathan or Rudy. Some might even surpass their best.
the 2 seasons were obviously thought out as the story, after that it was just random shit cobbled together without focus or reason, Rudy being funny can't save that, as I said my example Being human 2nd cast, had similar problems but it had a focus and narrative drive, something misfits lacked after the real ending
It's been some time since I watched the series, but I still think season 3 is ok. It certainly could have been better. Focus more on Simon becoming Superhoodie, focus less on Kelly having a crush or cut it completely, and delete the entire nazi episode.

Sheehan has been in some decently sized stuff in UK and Ireland like Love/Hate as well as mid tier movies like mortal instruments and umbrella academy

DUDE
SEX WITH ANTONIA THOMAS
LMAO
hot as frick
I prefer Karla Crome. Need that little b***hes tight pussy on my dick.
her simulated blowjob scene is epic

That .gif of the middle dude shrugging while impaled used to be a popular reaction image
Also the gif of his replacement from later seasons, slowly closing a door with an expression of disgust on his face
Hes great in Brassic
I FOOKIN LUVED YOU MILKEH
I'm not watching tv shows with ugly shitskin girls with brillo hair.
because the show was fricking awful after Season 2
the new guy looked like he was 45
Because half the cast left after a season or two. Including the funniest character.
>Show with excellent first season tries to cash in by rushing along future episodes with more "complex" (read: convoluted) writing

I guess that's more specifically the problem, and an absolutely enormous one when your show is about a robot uprising.

Wot if Powers we're bloody bat ?
Much like with Oasis bongoloids can't comprehend no one really giving a frick about it outside of their stupid little island
I know lots of people that like Oasis, are you mixing them up with The Verve?
Nah, he clearly said oasis bloke
Luv Rudy
Simple as
show is worth watching just for rudy. his ice cream licks in this are burned into my mind https://youtu.be/GUPOji-J_a8?t=64
Nathan carried the show and people stopped watching when his actor left
Rudy was just as good as Nathan.
Unfortunately, the seasons around him weren't. It got worse and worse as the rest of the cast left one by one, and by season 5 it was unwatchable.
Yeap. People saying Rudy was good were coping. The show went to absolute shit and Rudy couldn't carry it.
SAVE ME BARRY
I don't know what show that is but it looks very British in a bad way.
Orange is the new black?
Prison break?
people did.
Frick you guys I'm too lazy tell me the name of this Britshit show
ill adjusted teens
Odd Sots
Dubiously raised adolescents
Weirdo Outsiders
Jaysus Brits are fricking hideous
I thought this might be skins bc I've heard of that. But nah an anon linked a youtube vid, apparently it's something called misfits. Never heard of it
how did it end?
Terribly.
By then all the original cast had left, the replacements were shit (except for Rudy), the stories got dumber and dumber, and the special effects cheaper and cheaper.
My college gf was American but grew up in London. While we were dating she showed me 2 British shows, Misfits and Inbetweeners.
Inbetweeners was 11/10 ultrakino, Misfits was forgettable trash.
one thing I remember is that the blonde chav b***h was charged with hate crime in like 2012 or something
Walk down the street in east London as an English person and you’ll be subjected to much worse
Based
>Simon actor
Honestly surprised he hasn't appeared in anything LOTR related because he looks like a hobbit. Related he's currently playing gay eye candy in Gandalf's new gay sitcom.
>goes to prison for name calling
The United Kuckdom deserves to be nuked
>She was literally cast as herself in the show
Pretty based
8 minute voice recording.
Summed up in two lines of text.
What was in the other 7+ minutes ?
they all look weird
All those "people" are hideous. Let me guess, they are British
I just finished season 3. Should I continue or leave it there? It's a shame most of the original cast is gone but I'm willing to give it a chance if the replacements are any good.
It's all downhill from there.
Rudy still makes it worth continuing for a while, but you'll have to decide when you've had enough.
The only reason you should watch past season 1 is Rudy
>mfw I've seen the pilot for the American version of this
How fricking bad is it
>woah dude we like TOTALLY have super powers. This is freakin awesome!!!
>one of the characters is a comic book nerd
>subplot about one characters troubled home life where one/both of the parents is abusive
>the superpowers are all super cool and badass
>no sexualisation of the main characters

Why is this bad?

Fricking burgers.
Good thing it didn't get picked up.
A main part of the plot was they're all juvenile deliquients who have been forced together to perform community service as their punishment.
Not realistic.
the black girl is super loose & its part of the plot
I watched the first 3 episodes of this show with some random girl I met in a bar who took me to her apartment and then had sex.
Never thought about the show again until now
It's good but everyone stopped caring after Nathan fricked off forever. Great acting from the autist who became Ramsay too, probably his real breakout role

it was so weird watching him play Ramsay
its s1 and 2 they complete the story everything after is shit, s1 completes nathan who btw gets luck powers instead and fricks up in vegas, then s2 for the completion of barry's arc. Done.
Frick I forgot he swapped immortality for luck powers, that was so fricking moronic. Also think milkneto's powers were pretty fun
Robert Sheehan was a beautiful twink back then.
i tried watching this but i just cant stand their accents and turned it off
A great example of how nonsensical time travel plots can and will ruin something good. If you stop to think about Simon's/Barry's time travel plan even for a second you realize the time loop makes absolutely no sense.
YOU BURIED ME ALIVE YOU DICKS
I like how S2E1 was basically Among Us
Rudy is better than Nathan and Finnley is hilarious. Get a grip
he tied but he couldn't carry that shit, after s2 the story was done and they limped along anyway, kinda like being human except the second cast had the most based vampire in all of fiction and he could and did carry it

We talked it about it quite a lot in here when it was new.
The series really went to shit when Nathan left
Went to shit when the original cast all left, I never finished the final 2 series
I GOT SOMETHING SO SAY
It's really weird because I'm watching it right now at this very moment.
Watch pic related
It's horrible
>These are the Americans calling Brits ugly
lel
The annoying b***h that cries because she doesn't have any powers is somehow not as bad as deku
This thread reminded me its been years since I watched misfits so I'm now watching it again
Robert sheehan is literally me
Looks like a mutt patrol from some 2020s zoomer trash
I never finished, but not in hell that the show was big back in the day. It only achieved some notoriety after it appeared on Netflix.
It was pretty big in the UK/Ireland
Oh, right. I was thinking internationaly.
It was a channel 4 show so it wouldn't have been shown overseas
it was big outside the us, in aus it was a massive hit
Has it really been nearly 15 years since this aired? Where has the time gone lads
It’s 5 a clock and I couldn’t give a shit practically became my work mantra after watching whichever season that was in
Iwan Rheon is in some utter trash by the sherlock writers I keep seeing ads for now
Mutt cast, no thanks
I remember that episode where an old woman can turn into her younger self and there is a sex scene and she has very nice boobs and nipple colour
Watching it right now
Smashing breasts
Shadow cancelled as the blonde is a bame basher
The show kept going for like 2 seasons after she got arrested, the just said the character fricked off to Africa or something between seasons.
I liked it.
