Paulie and Sil have a convo about how they basically know Tony killed him and that they aren't comfortable with it.
Correct. Some things you let stay buried because what's the best thing that's going to happen if you dig it up? Plus, he was universally hated. Great character, though.
They brought him up whenever Tony wasn't around iirc and his disappearance was causing problems for Tony because if he could just effortlessly murder a Capo none of their rank or influence actually meant anything.
Been a while since my last watch, but didn't Tony ask Silvio about the arsonist shortly after the fire that killed the horse?
Then Ralphie mysteriously dies shortly after, he probably suspected Tony did it.
It's a bit of a stretch, but i could see the gossip drawing that conclusion.
Paulie and Sil have a convo about how they basically know Tony killed him and that they aren't comfortable with it.
i thought it was albert and patsy talking about it with silvio. and albert wouldn't have known about the arsonist thing unless silvio told him, but silvio feigned ignorance during the converation
Everyone knew Tony was extremely enamoured with the horse and that the horse coincidently happened to get killed when Ralph could really use the extra money. Do you really think it's so unlikely that the crew might put two and two together?
>why would they focus on this one
The big real estate thing/building contract construction deal. Ralphie was earning with three hands over heah. Although maybe they wanted to carve up his little empire for themselves.
So Vito got Ralph's position after he died, right? This explain why they didn't care. Vito still brought the money and wasn't a pain in the ass lol to deal with.
because the show is trash. it's entirely carried by characters. you could start the show on season 6 and it wouldn't matter. not the character "development" (there is none) nor the plot would reflect the past seasons. they killed the best most promising character (christopher) just like that and it had no consequences on tony or anyone.
The thing is, if a guy just mysteriously vanishes everyone knows what happened. The only question is if it was a legitimate whacking or someone went off the reservation, and you can tell that by if anyone's asking questions or not.
If the boss seems legitimately concerned about the guy's absence and is putting actual effort into finding out what happened, then someone fricked up. If the boss is like "yeah huh wonder what happened to that guy. Anyway..." then he knows but just isn't gonna say and everyone should let it drop
>How come nobody questioned how he just… disappeared >Also how did people know he got whacked over a horse? Capo up and disappears and everyone just shrugs.
Albert, the acting capo of the biggest crew in the family, questioned it. Patsy clams up and Sil says he doesn't know and leaves the dinnertable. Only Tony and Chrissy knew the truth. Tony killing his best earner over a horse would put his own life in danger. Yeah, he's the street boss but even he couldn't legitimately sanction a killing on a flimsy excuse. Albert then claims that Silvio would the the one to kill Tony, if it was ever proved that Tony did kill Ralph over a horse. Clearly, the family would lose trust in Tony if he killed someone for a horse. Albert: 'What's next? You get clipped for wearing the wrong shoes?'
The family knew that Tony horned in on Ralph's horse and that Tony was angry and sad at the horse's death. Albert joined the dots. However, Tony's bullshit story about NY doing it was plausible, given the Ralph-Johnny beef over the mole joke. He stressed that nothing could be done without evidence and of course there was no evidence. Tony then stupidly almost went to war with NY for real over a small cut of a land deal.
As the best earner in the family, Ralph would not be entirely popular with his rivals and they ultimately didn't give a shit about him. Tony could then promote the fat finoik and make the same amount of money from construction. Vito must have been a capable capo, if his construction successor Carlo lost 2/3rds of the money.
That he did. And let’s be real he killed ralphie because he was possibly on the path towards changing and becoming a better person. And if there’s on thing tony can’t stand, it’s someone changing for the better. See: A.J.
And chase said he did do it. Ultimately it's ambiguous. Believe what you want to believe, but don't try to act like you have a definitive answer to anything, homosexual.
IIRC Chase said he didn’t care whether or not Ralphie was guilty and left it up to Pants to play it however he wanted. Im not sure though and I can’t find the interview right now.
Why did the crew even hate Ralph? Because he showed up to the bing one time coked up? Because he killed Tracey? She hit him. He was no worse than Paulie or Sil.
Ralph was a great earner that also happened to be very obnoxious, the other mobsters envied this and knew hating on him for being better than them in that regard would make them come off as petty homosexuals, so they chose to get pissy over his other antics. In reality he really wasn't that much different from any of them, someone like Paulie especially.
They were jealous because he was a good earner and they hated him because he was a coked out unpredictable nut.
Disrespecting the Bing did not help matters. It seems the family were glad to be rid of him in Miami, however many years he was based down there.
It's a shame they never had any crossover between Ralph and Little Carmine, who was also based down there before the NY civil war.
>because he killed Tracey
You act like that’s just some minor thing. Genuinely one of the most disturbing scenes in the show how he killed that young girl. That being said they hated him out of jealousy and because he was obnoxious as

said. Those sociopaths couldn’t have cared less about the girl >he beat a woman to death for… what was it again?
TONY hated him because of what he did to Tracey. A beautiful and innocent creature as he said.
Despite growing up together, it's clear that Tony only tolerated Ralphie, before and after the Tracee incident.
He wanted Ralph dead over Tracee; but as Sil pointed out, Tony had no legitimate reason for revenge (as she was not a goomar or a relative).
Tony seized on the horse (whom Tony also cared for) as a reason to kill Ralph, but he never forgave Ralph for Tracee.
ralphie reacted way to quickly to answering his rocky ringtone right away. The last time I was high on poppers taking a dildo from some fat prostitute my phone rang and I couldnt figure out what the frick that sound was. Took me right out of the scene
Fell into his gravy, among us Italians, a common occurrence.
>among us
They're smart enough not to ask questions, and everyone hated him anyway.
Correct. Some things you let stay buried because what's the best thing that's going to happen if you dig it up? Plus, he was universally hated. Great character, though.

yeah, I will agree with OP that them saying "over a horse" took me out of it a little bit. how would they think that?

literally all of them did
you gonna lecture me now, you frickin' drug addict?
This scene was accurate, been that high in public
He was despised by almost all of them so they didn't really make too much of a fuss
they got bunch of unsolved murders, why whould they focus on this one? also he angered a lot of people
>why would they focus on this one
The big real estate thing/building contract construction deal. Ralphie was earning with three hands over heah. Although maybe they wanted to carve up his little empire for themselves.
Wasn't Vito the real moneymaker of the crew?
After Ralph
So Vito got Ralph's position after he died, right? This explain why they didn't care. Vito still brought the money and wasn't a pain in the ass lol to deal with.

frick this show.
Lol name one better ill wait. Can't imagine what kind of loser hates on the best TV has to offer
Everyone else managed to ignore the homosexual. What's your fricking problem?
>best TV has to offer

Nobody liked him before anyway, if he was more well liked people would give a shit
If Tony killed Bobby he’d have been in trouble even though Bobby made less money for everyone. They knew he was a good guy and liked him
You're an idiot.
Nobody liked Ralph.
You don't ask questions in this thing of ours.

I really hated Ralphie but Tony was fricked up for taking so much of his Pie-oh-my winnings.
That he did. And let’s be real he killed ralphie because he was possibly on the path towards changing and becoming a better person. And if there’s on thing tony can’t stand, it’s someone changing for the better. See: A.J.
Indeed. Made worse by the chance that Ralphie didn't even do it.
The actor chose to play it like he did not do it.
And chase said he did do it. Ultimately it's ambiguous. Believe what you want to believe, but don't try to act like you have a definitive answer to anything, homosexual.
no u homosexual

Frick what you think about anything, butthole.
You okay, anon?

These threads are better than the show.
was ralph gay?
Poppers! And weird shex!

Hoo

Nobody liked him. He was a high earner, but everyone was jealous.
