Because we have vaccines against it. Thanks to vaccines almost nobody dies of rabies anymote.

      >this vaccine works so I'll completely trust every single other vaccine they give me
I can just tell you watch pop-sci videos on youtube

not a /misc/gay but never think to yourself "I'm vaccinated" and ignore a wild animal's bite, the vaccine doesn't protect you 100% and if you don't get a shot right after the bite occurs you're 100% dead if the fever kicks in after 3 days.
I had a coworker who died from rabies after he came back from his trip to Algeria, apparently a cat scratched him and that's all it took.

I thought vaccines were like a weaker version of the disease is introduced to your body so it can learn to fight off the real disease? How do rabies vaccine work when they're administered when you already contracted it?

The vaccine just makes you recover faster you know. You can still get infected with rabies permanently if you doesn't get medicated immediately

10% of americans test positive for latent tuburculosis
conventional medical establishment wisdom is that latent tuburculosis is non-transmissable
THEN HOW THE FRICK DO TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE HAVE IT
because it is transmissable by latent carriers, every time you go into public and someone coughs you're likely being exposed to an incurable infection
