Animated shows that weren't going to be completed by the end of Q1 2023. HBO Max is shifting away from cartoons in general, but if the show was far enough along they'll just air it at this point, the complete rebrand isn't until Q3 2023. The notion of the rebrand is literally to just shift HBO back to where it was pre-Max, and HBO was never really a place for cartoons.

There isn't much meat on the bone for a "modern" adaptation of Popey. In the cartoons he's either a white trash fisherman fighting over a woman and/or committing domestic violence or a US navy sailor on shore leave in military propaganda. A faithful adaptation would be pretty neat, but as the leaked storyboard shows it isn't something we'd ever get.

Craig said neither PPG or Foster's have started development yet, he's only signed on to make them. same with Genndy, he's not developing any new shows right now and is focused on finished Unicorn and Fixed
the only thing they scrapped was HBO Max's movie slate. all of the animated shows, especially these adult ones greenlit by the Max Original team, are still going forward

I have Say this before, I think this show is for the Harley Quinn audience, the style of the stills looks like The Venture Bros art but I don't know for sure if that by itself will attract any audience, the real question (for me) is if the fan base of Scooby Doo wil be divided? but NOT so much because Velma is black (or whatever) but because of the tone of an IP that has been consistently family friendly.
