also false, even in japan you can see the association with trannies and tranime, the only reason weeaboos dont think this is because they think japan is some tranime utopia
tranime didn't start until after the 90s. Really around the time they realized that just making boring shows about cute girls doing things with cheap digital animation to appeal to weak men made more money than high effort traditional animation with masculine characteristics. It's more than just moe, lotta the newer stuff is just crank out a few episodes so you can say it's an anime then sell merch of whatever cute girl characters you put in it.
DB has avoided that mostly but the animation quality is abysmal and the story hasn't been good since the end of the Cell saga. And Cell was much worse than Namek imo.
>90s
Man, I feel it had the perfect balance. After it, like you said it turned to shit. In the 90s you had anime like Gunsmith Cats, Bubblegum Crisis, Agent AIKA, Cardcaptor Sakura and the whole of Tenchi Muyo. Amazing balance between those moe aspects while still delivering quality animation and cool stories.
nah 90's had harem animes with a male character for boys to self-insert into. 2000's is when otaku decided they didn't want ICKY MEN in their anime and amine for male demos started getting all girl casts
agree, it's a much better series. travelling the world, fighting random dinosaurs and communists, the tournaments, looking for dragoballs... all that shit is way more fun than the tryhard "gotta save the world" tone of Z. and that's not even talking about the terrible pacing
I liked z all the way through, but it was also pretty fucking rad (aside from pacing issues), especially finding out Goku is basically Japanese Superman and that all their feats until now are dwarfed by the insane power that's actually out there in the universe. Raditz was a wakeup call and then finding out that there were other saiyans even more powerful was kino. Then ofc you follow vegeta for a bit and realise he himself was a small fry compared to the others. Goku doing ever more ridiculous training and eventually claiming his birthright as a legendary saiyan warrior and avenging his race was kino, as was Piccolo's sacrifice for Gohan against Nappa and Vegeta.
I had a similar feeling, think I was like 10 tho. Trunks was such a badass. Too bad he fucked off for the rest of the series and we got the kid version
By the time the station that aired this show finally moved past endlessly repeating the Saiyan and Namek arcs I had already grown past my shit-taste phase.
was expecting like a whole new saga, also kinda sucks trunks never really uses his sword much if at all after this. On that not it really annoys me how many cool techniques just stopped being used cause toriyama lmao forgot.
I was extremely happy.
Trunks was my favorite character before he was even in the story. I'd watch on cartoon network and cheez TV as a kid. The end of the intro had all the Z warriors standing in a group. Trunks was there, even though he hadn't been in the show yet and I always thought he looked really cool. When he finally showed up he ended but being even cooler than I thought and he was my favorite character for years.
I remember seeing it on some japanese thing or some shit way before it arrived in the states. Considering it took them like 50 fucking episodes of freiza fighting and he gets diced in just one by some punk with a sword. I was fucking shocked and trunks became my favorite
Frieza trained for like six months and came out of it with a golden form that absolutely shat on Cooler. Cooler himself admits that Frieza always did have the edge and advantage. Cooler was strong, and so was his father, but Frieza was a complete freak of nature.
>Woah Trunks is badass! surely he'll be a super important character from now o- >just ends up whining while the Dragon Team makes retarded decisions because of their egos >Cell kills him and no one ever remembers that, the only consequence it has is making Vegeta rage enough to distract cell with the equivalent of a slap >kid trunks is an entirely different character
See that's what I mean, no one remembers that Cell absolutely fucking killed him. He had to be wished back with the dragon Balls. They bring his body back to the lookout with them when they wish everyone back that Cell killed.
The original version of the anime makes his death particularly brutal. Basically vomits blood.
Gohan dying in future trunk's timeline was so depressing it really feels hopeless once gohan loses his arm and like it's so full of despair and it feels like it's truly over for humanity.
Always wonder why this kind of energy beam rarely used in dbz fights. The bullet and knife like ki projectiles that are just super fast and would mortally injure anyone who lacks concentration and speed.
my guess is, it's effective when the target in question is relaxed. otherwise it is a waste of energy and concentration to target an energy beam like that when the target is aware of it and can endure the hit to avoid being pierce by it. i guess they tried to give that same explanation with goku being shot by a laser
even back then when I was young I thought Metal frieza was a retarded looking design. I was even aware that he would immediately get power crept by Future Trunks
I was kind of pissed. Trunks and the androids were kind of an asspull. It was kind of weird that they just fought the strongest creature in the universe and than it's revealed that there were androids 10x stronger than him hidden on Earth all along.
Shocked, relieved, nervous, overwhelmed, I couldn't believe I was seeing another legendary super saiyan. Cell saga had me eating out of the palms of Tori's hands
Sadly Punished Trunks suffered the exact same curse as Chadhan, everyone wanted these characters to be badass, but the show made them absolute fucking stooges. Trunks was my favorite character, and I couldn't wait for him to slap shit DBGT, but for some reason he was a weak homosexual that could barely fly and was more focused on fucking working than being a giga chad like he was supposed to be. I guess you can chalk it up to the fact the future Trunks is completely different character from his experiences, and has the most kino transformation in the show, which coincidently is paired up with Chadhans kino death.
hard times create strong men
unfortunately in our timeline neither gohan nor trunks really had to struggle for anything. trunks got to be relevant without much effort due to fusion and gohan just got a deus ex machina transformation from old kai to become the strongest single fighter ever and still fucking whiffed it
>tranime
chadime website, virgin
cherry picking
>movie with trannies exist
>all movies are for trannies
Now you're getting it
Your kinds are all freak, tranime homosexual
American problem.
Do NOT associate Chadgon Ball with the rest of anime (moeshit).
Also:
Gurren Lagann
Hajime no Ippo
Ping Pong
Gunbuster
dbz isnt tranime though
false
also false, even in japan you can see the association with trannies and tranime, the only reason weeaboos dont think this is because they think japan is some tranime utopia
Trunks was always cringe.
DBZ isn't tranime. It was granted honorary cartoon status.
tranime didn't start until after the 90s. Really around the time they realized that just making boring shows about cute girls doing things with cheap digital animation to appeal to weak men made more money than high effort traditional animation with masculine characteristics. Tranime is little school girl shit, this is high test animation for real men
bump
How come the spergs seethe at this perfectly reasonable comment?
should've ended at Dragon Ball. it still had some traditional plotlines and didn't go overboard with the retarded power level
agree, it's a much better series. travelling the world, fighting random dinosaurs and communists, the tournaments, looking for dragoballs... all that shit is way more fun than the tryhard "gotta save the world" tone of Z. and that's not even talking about the terrible pacing

Who cares, it’s a good time
Mild Disappointment
I thought Freeza’s cyborg design was his coolest look.
I was bored because Cell Saga blows
>inb4 shithan internet defense force seethes
I was like 8 and thought he was the most badass john conner hair cut guy I'd seen since leon s Kennedy
I had a similar feeling, think I was like 10 tho. Trunks was such a badass. Too bad he fucked off for the rest of the series and we got the kid version
this sums it up pretty well
got this shi from suncoast on vhs way before it released on tv
He also still, to this day, has the GOAT super saiyan hair.
SSJ 1 Teen Gohan > Short hair Future Trunks > Long hair Future Trunks > SSJ2 Teen Gohan > SSJ3 Goku > Everything else.
Not a bad ranking. SSJ1 Teen Gohan is very underrated.
I go onto web forums for new mothers and make obscene sexual comments and highly personal feedback on their private parts.

IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER
He never said that
>when your sex doll is delivered pre-lubed
Why’d Toriyama do em dirty and change Gohan into Jobhan after the Cell arc?
I was still trying to figure out why Freezer man brought his dad.
his dad rescued him and had him rebuilt, he was on his ship when he demanded to go to Earth and his dad accepted that request.
Freeza's dad was a Good Dad, probably the best in all of Dragon Ball
I finally understood his finisher from the games
>¡Onions Super Vegeta!
Running home from the bus stop to watch DBZ and hope it wasn't just a screaming match was the best.
By the time the station that aired this show finally moved past endlessly repeating the Saiyan and Namek arcs I had already grown past my shit-taste phase.
Hyped when I originally saw it in Spanish or Japanese, I don't recall. Disappointed af when I watched the heavily censored English version.
GIGA BASED Flawless victory.
I was busy smashing the fuck out of 15 year old pussy
oh so you just saw it?
was expecting like a whole new saga, also kinda sucks trunks never really uses his sword much if at all after this. On that not it really annoys me how many cool techniques just stopped being used cause toriyama lmao forgot.
I would've listened to him, and that's what no one did.
Goku did
Based if real
I thought it was a bit disrespectful to mistreat an iconic villain like that.
Frieza Saga > Saiyan Saga > Buu Saga > Cell Saga
After rewatching the original DBZ this last week, I can say with confidence:
Cell & Androids Saga > Frieza Saga >> Buu Saga >>>>> shit >>>> Dragon Ball super
I was extremely happy.
Trunks was my favorite character before he was even in the story. I'd watch on cartoon network and cheez TV as a kid. The end of the intro had all the Z warriors standing in a group. Between Raditz and Trunks Toriyama really knew just how to drop a bomb on you to kick off an arc.
sad that he never reached the cooler form
Frieza trained for like six months and came out of it with a golden form that absolutely shat on Cooler. Cooler himself admits that Frieza always did have the edge and advantage. Cooler was strong, and so was his father, but Frieza was a complete freak of nature.
that anon was talking aesthetics, not power levels
Frieza's golden form looks like ass. Cooler's form still looks cooler
stfu about DBAF tier shit.
That's coolers second form though, they all have their own.
I expect a little more from Frieza's father.
>Woah Trunks is badass! surely he'll be a super important character from now o-
>just ends up whining while the Dragon Team makes retarded decisions because of their egos
>Cell kills him and no one ever remembers that, the only consequence it has is making Vegeta rage enough to distract cell with the equivalent of a slap

Cell doesn't kill him. He almost kills him. Although Cell did technically kill him in his own timeline.
See that's what I mean, no one remembers that Cell absolutely fucking killed him. He had to be wished back with the dragon Balls. They bring his body back to the lookout with them when they wish everyone back that Cell killed.

Futurw Trunks is Punished Trunks
I turned the page and read the next one.
fucking winnie the pooh was in super?
i thought it was retarded that they brought freiza back just to job to this future jobber
I remember everyone at school the next day was geeking out over Trunks.
even back then when I was young I thought Metal frieza was a retarded looking design. I was even aware that he would immediately get power crept by Future Trunks
Future Trunks was my first "literally me" character. I was absolutely obsessed with trying to he like him.
I know that feel.
I remember hating the bowl cut my mother kept pushing on me when I was a kid till he appeared in DBZ, then I wore that with pride
>tfw really wanted his jacket
>tfw even wanted his $30 haircut
>tfw had my mum buy me a capsule corp patch on eBay to sow onto my jacket
This you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T17AyCOaHVk
Where's my Trunks spinoff.
He's the bone of his sword.
HEY FRIEZA
Best thing I've watched. They did Trunks dirty in Super.
Not as much as I did as a child when I first saw Goku transform on Namek.
The commercials on Toonami hyped up cyborg freiza as a looming threat
.
These guys can level mountains with a single punch. How can a sword survive the pressure? At least the power pole had some kind of magic behind it.
he channels his Ki into the sword
>90 episodes of screaming on Namek for nothing.
Thread theme.
Future Trunks was my first "literally me" character
>super saiyan
>has a sword
yeah im thinking based
I was kind of pissed.
I had never been as shocked in my life. I literally didn't believe it.
Biggest downgrade in DB

I thought it was dumb at first
Then later on after it all got explained, I still thought it was dumb
I missed the episode so I told my brother his story of "Mecha Frieza and a Super Saiyan from the Future" didn't sound true
