No, because we frequently take roadtrips across Europe. A trip from Germany to Portugal by car is equivalent to travelling from New York to Houston

kinda this. Also, visiting russia has the similar feel, gigantic shit with literall nothing inbetween.

Sure but when you get to Portugal, that's it, you need a boat to keep going. If I drove from New York to Houston I could keep driving for another two or three days before I hit the West Coast.

this is a school pick up and drop off the jam is artificially created by the bottle neck in pick up speed, the studen has to identify which car is theirs and at what time they are expected to be at the drop off point, then get in the car, thats why its not a constant flow and would happen with any number of cars
the problem here is that the high school is too big for the surrounding area and more of then need to be built within the region, and some of these kids need to start taking the bus home, which would be easier if the school populations were better distributed across more schools

There's plenty of urban areas with good public transportation. Literally nobody is forced too, they just elect to because the opportunities it provides are worth the financial sacrifice, and are unrivaled by any other form of transportation. Keep coping though.

regions west of the mississippi, what are usually considered more frontier regions of the US, are varried in their ecology and topography
I would say that this specific area depicted (west texas) is closer to the kalahari desert than it is to the steppe, and regions such as north dakota, nebraska, and wyoming are closest to the steppe
this is mostly academic as like 99% of these states are covered in farmland and the local grasslands have been completely replaced, I could spend days on google maps trying to find somewhere in any of those states that is representative of the pre-contact environment to compare, so you'll have have to take my word for it and ill just have to hope that im not talking shit

problem is that in order to experience more than one of the diverse landscapes you need to either buy a plane ticket to the place you need to go and rent a car to get to where you want to go specifically OR drive there using a car you already own
not only is that expensive its something you have to make a vacation out of
I dont know about you but I cant take a week off twice a year just so I can spend 1-2000 dollars traveling so that I can hiking in a single locale halfway across the US from where I live
I would love to travel to an entirely different country (or even travel within my own) at my own financial expense and then proceed to complain about its inhabitants, until recently thats been a traditional american pastime, I cant and have never been able to afford to do that and present circumstances have eliminated that possibility for many americans it was previously available to

I live in a good place to hike though so theres no real reason to avoid hiking where im at beyond my own laziness, you've got me there

Most European families own at least one car, often two or three, especially in Western Europe. It goes down in cities like Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, as it does in the USA.

Belgium is a tiny country where you don't usually have to travel more than 20-30km to go to work (easily done by e-bike) yet most families have 2 cars at least.

I own a car but bike to work because it keeps me moving rather than sitting at traffic lights pointlessly.

You're either shitting on the land of continent of your ancestors or shitting on the land colonised by own racial group. Thereafter it's basic common sense shit acknowledging certain truths like the Americans having far more land and privileges/freedoms stemming from that fact or the Europeans having a material/art culture far richer/older than America's. Common sense shit. Otherwise the shit flinging only ever makes sense to me when it's really specific ethnic shit, like an Irish American fricking seething over the UK or something.

In terms of size America is already pretty relative to my own country (if you disregard Alaska) and we're already full of open space, but what I'm most impressed with is the diversity of landscapes and ecosystems. America literally has them all from rainforest to marshland to prairies to snowcapped mountains to deserts. And so much habitable land. It really is the perhaps the most prime continent on which to erect a country.

You've been so brainwashed into thinking it's a good thing to be forced to drive for hours to pay surge prices for your burger at Wendys.

Being squeezed at the state and federal level for their precious tax dollars. Denied birth control and forced to raise more taxpayers.

Roaming hordes of cult followers who are borderline moronic due to underfunding school for decades, and forcing children to pray to a flag.
