I am assuming you aren't black, OP, like probably the rest of us. I think if you have to ask that question, you just shouldn't make a black character at all.
I personally tried to sketch some concepts of "attractive" or less token black characters to pitch, but I kept looking them over and wondering why it was my job to begin with. Why is it a white person's job to draw black characters that are a race we are not from a culture we are not?
I decided to just give up and only make characters I want. We're not even wired to find blacks attractive.
