would Ross's art work in an animated medium? Unironically, go 3d models and heavily tweak the lighting, shadows, color composition etc for every frame.
They wouldn't necessarily try to do 1:1 on the art style, only a few DC movies did and they stopped after a while. sucks that they tried doing Michael Turner's art but not Frank Quitely's
It'd just be a waste of time. People would be comparing it to Alex Ross so much that it would only dissapoint viewers, sort of like The Killing joke not even attempting to emulate Bolland or Higgins colors.
The main reason it won't work is because it's a story about respecting history and the ones who came before you and carrying on legacy. No Zoomer wants to be preached to, and most people don't care about legacy heroes or history anymore when everyone is being replaced for their personal self insert OC (looking at you Bendis) it's ironic cause it's exactly the problem the book was talking about.
Honestly the only people who would really like an adapted movie of this book are conservatives who grew up with those old time heroes of old- establishing law and order and the right way to do things. And lord knows nobody in Hollywood wants to make anything remotely right wing inherently good anymore. It's one of my favorite stories of all time and honestly I wish nobody gave it any mention. Nobody really liked it back when it released cause everyone said it felt preachy.
Kingdom come isn't much superhero suck it more new age heroes (the "realistic" heroes) suck and that the older gerneration of heroes while embrace the new age heroes still ensure that their morels and codes are instill and continue to them
it a cautionary tale much like Watchmen that simple misinterpret
>How hasn't DC made a Kingdom Come animated movie yet?
Every single DC animated movie since around TDKR sucked ass and even The Dark Knight Returns looked cheap as frick.
Why would you want them to ruin Ross art like that?
>I know something is related to "All Star Superman", which is apparently good also
"Kingdom Come" has zero relation to All star Superman, and nether is a part of the "main" DC Continuity. Both are self contained stories that don't require you to know anything beyond the basics.
someone evil as good means they're not evil
In fiction yes, it does, hate to bring it to you but there is no objective perspective of the story that exists outside of the narrative of the story (Also, Santa Claus is not real). The "point" of Kingdom Come is that it's not a binary story where you can easily tell who's right and wrong. If that's not your thing than read some other comic IDK.
I think they said they just aren’t interested.
They said that.

rotoscope it :^)
Because half of what makes KC work is the Ross art, and replacing it with the typical DCAM design would suck.

bump
Because they're making a Cumdom King adaptation

The Rock’s production company wants to do it
>The Rock’s production company wants to do it
Based Rock?
>The Rock’s production company

It is too good
>muh superheroes suck
you want another case of the boys?

The extreme ones, the realistic era of heroes didn't start in earnest until the late 90s.
How would that help make more kids trans?
too many characters
Because of Royalties and too complex for tv. besides too prudish, there are no naked people, besides Spectre.

Let's appreciate Ross' art.
Alex Ross is Kino.
Reminder that Alex Ross painted Kingdom Come before he was 30. First issue came out when he was 24.
Because they will make a live action one that will make much more money.
>CW TV show that gets laughed at by YouTubers
Fixed that for you anon.
I always wanted to read this, but i have no idea what the frick you even need to begin, because i know DC continuity is a mess
I know something is related to "All Star Superman", which is apparently good also
I didn't read any DC comic but this. It's comic purely for casuals like us

Let's settle this once and for all, who would you cast as Magog?
forgot pi.
Guy who played Thanos and Cable.
Or the guy who was the bad guy in Avatar.
>Guy who played Thanos and Cable.
You mean Josh Brolin but what was the avatar guys name?
Idris Elba
Funny in.the audio drama of it hes voiced by a black guy if I remember
>Funny in.the audio drama of it hes voiced by a black guy if I remember
Is the audio drama worth checking out?
The Kingdom Story was crap
It's basically just another evil AU Superman but with the evil Superman portrayed as a good guy.
>evil Superman portrayed as a good guy.
Thus making him not evil?
>portraying someone evil as good means they're not evil
Boy, it sure is convenient that every war in history was won by the good guys.

>book about respecting the good old days of DC with Christian dialogue, symbolism and allegory
>getting a modern adaption
Get real.
I don't care about Shazam but Ross draws him so well
j-ism
The only proper way to do a Kingdom Come adaptation would be live action, and for obvious reasons nobody wants DC to do that.
Kingdom Come was a decent story, but 90% of the selling point of the comic was the art. You can't replicate the art in animation.
