It really was a good anime adaptation that didn't get uncanny or too stupid, they did a great job of matching foreground sets with green screen 3d matte backgrounds
It didn't really get the following it deserved til it was on HBO. I remember being really high and tripping out over the visuals, instant kino for me, plus Christina Ricci a cute.
