WB and disney executives have the power to turn the comics industry into the same juggernaut manga and anime is. They only need to produce original books for a young adult audience and then make animated programs that are perfectly accurate to the source material to coax audiences into reading which they don't do on their own. This creates the same synergy loop which in turn leads to popularity.
Live action shit doesn't sell comic books. Letting animators do their own thing doesn't sell comic books either.
WB and Disney have the means and the money to turn this shit around but they won't because it requires foresight and intelligence. Instead they'll just burn it dry with shitty live action properties and then when they all fail shut down the comics as a whole. I hate it.
