Korea doesn't produce animation, they only made a couple of absolute shit quality animated series. Chinese have actually surpassed them; some of the recent Chinese animations have been as good as the best animes.
Outside of Japan and now China no one really makes animation in Aisa, not counting Russia.
It was created during the early roman era as a word to describe anyplace not 'Europe' and then a few hundred years later they came up with a weird idea that the world was split into three quarters, Europe, Africa and Asia. A completely arbitrary split around basically where Syria sits today.
In modern usage for most of the 20th century people were content to just label the Far East as Asia, since at least that would make it a useful term to refer to a sort of region, but now for ~reasons~ people are going mental about reverting to the useless historical definition. Only fucking twats call places Afghanistan, Israel, or Turkey 'asian', its called the Middle East you fuckers. And India/Pakistan/Bangladesh is also geographically and culturally distinct enough that grouping it in with places like Japan and Korea is just stupid.

it was the Greeks centuries before the Romans and originally "Asia" only referred to what is today Anatolia, which is why Anatolia is still called "Asia minor" before it was extended to all of Asia all the way to Japan as Europeans kept discovering more and more of the landmass.
Only part I agree in the "Asia is a dumb term" is that Europe isn't a continent geographically speaking, a continent is Eurasia. There is no border between Europe and Asia, Urals are a joke and have never been a border between anything.
india and israel do interesting shit sometimes
Are there any Indian animations that aren't elsagate youtube spam?
Arjun: The Warrior Prince is pretty good, as long as you have a tolerance for low-budget 3D animation.
Also just going off IMDb, Tripura is pretty highly regarded.
Pretty much every single big animated movie in India is an adaptation of Hindu mythology.
The lamput series they made is cute and reminds me of bolek and lolek
Does Eurasian animation such as Russia, Georgia, and a few more count?

Yeah could be the case that the capital is european geographically wise. The eastern or the asian part of it is called Siberia or something.
>Korea doesn't produce animation
>Literally the country that outsources animation the most

'Asia' is such a stupid term, on so many levels.
