dunno never watched the series. I was too old and the theme song sucked dog anus. seen clips and some of it seems clever or funny
give context, I don't watch stuff, I just scrape vague ideas off things others post and then rapidly develop extremely strong opinions on things I know almost nothing about.

either way, you're a newbie and don't belong here you humourless dull c**t. have a nice day

It's a pretty decent show. Captures the low income life of the 90's pretty well. The made the black crippled kid an actual character instead of a token insert. Writing was pretty funny, but it's not going to blow you away. Solid 7.5/10.

thanks, what's he saying about the mother? she just seems stressed out in clips, also made her youngest son jerk off to her pictures.

          Anonymous

The mom is seen as very demanding and strict as a kid, but when you're older, you realize she was the necessary disciplinarian to raise the boys right. Watching the show will humanize her more than the clips. Also it was the second oldest son and it wasn't a forced masturbation, she put her own face on his porn mag photos as a joke.

90s? It's an early 2000s time capsule moron

don't call him a moron you smelly raghead.
it was a 90s time capsule because the writers were writing about what they'd seen in the 90s. they weren't looking into the future

"Current" meaning "in the 2000s"? Moron. It's not a 90s show.

This whole episode reminds me of that time Norm went on some local radio station and got called racist for 30 minutes for saying that Black people have less access to capital than White people

The show dealt with racism and classism quite a bit

Yes, shes a woman. Whats your point?

I always knew she was the best sort of mother since I first watched the show years ago. Everything she did seemed absolutely natural to me. It helps that my father is the exact same sort of disciplinarian that she is and that I always felt compelled to respect figures like him.

Is this when she tells Malcolm and Reese that they'll never be anything in life unless they study? Or that they'd be mopping floors for a living forever under 'Doug' the manager or whatever his name was.
She'd be right, and it's a pretty good wakeup call for them.

I actually was really disappointed that the baby ended up being another boy. I really wanted to see what chaos would result in the household if it turned out to be a girl. I think everyone would mellow out more.
