It's an amazing series.
I'm watching it right now and Wendy is the only character you sympathize with.
The hubby is a scared beta.
Above I i wish the lil 14 traitor homosexuals son would die a brutal death , but knowing American writers that would never happen.
On S4 an that lil homosexuals has already betrayed his family multiple times and still walks around with his ugly sperg face breathing and his cuck dad not even scolding him.
I'm livid.
>Wendy is the only character you sympathize with
Literally the worst and most evil character in the entire show. Wendy is the whole reason marty and his kids are still in this situation. Frick that b***h.
Of course not. B-but she had to!! How any of her allies can look her straight in the face after that is beyond me. I havent seen the final episodes yet but I really hope ruth puts a bullet in her kneecap at the fricking least.
To be fair any of the characters that got killed or lost they were acting like such morons anyways I felt no sympathy for them so I guess no ending is just as good as any ending at that point. The series just wanted to remind you how evil Wendy and Marty were
Ruth should have slaughtered the entire family, the corporate b***h, fricking everyone and disappeared with all the money. I would have been cheering on my sofa.
Ruth fricked up a lot of shit on her own that it's hard to like her this season. She should've never let her cousin be with Darlene Snell in the first place. Also she can blame Wendy all she wants but every time Marty gave her good advice she'd do dumb shit anyways. Sure her uncles and dad kept her down but once they were dead it was all her own mistakes. Also she shouldn't have fricked Ben or interfered with him either since he was obviously too mentally ill.
>Yea sure…I don’t know. We’ll.. we’ll set up another offshore account and pay ourself a loan with this asset as collateral >Just make sure you hold up your end
>Marty: laundering money isn't easy, you can't make cash from nothing and you'll always end up getting caught from the authorities eventually >next scene >also Marty: Oh yeah I just waved my magic money laundering wand and totally transferred to an off shore account and the whole cartel is paid off, no problem we jusy need to diversify our portfolios and make sure Omar is ok with us betraying him yet another fricking time, all good
They sorta handwaved it as the FBI was covering for them and the Senators were in their pockets by then but yeah it just was sloppy writing at that point
I couldn’t tell you, I had no interest in watching this show. Life is miserable enough, no reason to waste so much time watching a poorly-lit miserable show with drab music.
This show was basically written for retired people.
The show only 'works' if you sympathise with Wendy but you can only do this if you are a radical feminist.
I remember watching the first season and thinking that the producers must hate women because they are all caricature c**ts within the show but then I saw glowing reviews and awards for the writing of "strong, realistic female characters".
I think this praise got to the writers' heads as each season got more and more self-aggrandizing and pompous. The show is really stupid and they have to come up with really contrived reasons to showcase Wendy and Ruth.
The cartel as antagonists were so awful, Marty had no motivation or character growth beyond the second season, he went from main character to plot device. The kids become marvel superheroes for no reason with no payoff.
The show had a chance to redeem itself with the Ben arc but they tripled down on feminism instead
Wendy got away with so much it's crazy but then you realize the writers are probably crazy feminist liberal women who obviously project in Wendy so it makes sense. Marty seemed to be the main protagonist but it's really Wendy who is.
>Wendy got away with so much it's crazy but then you realize the writers are probably crazy feminist liberal women who obviously project in Wendy so it makes sense
This was confirmed by the final season.
They "revealed" that her dad really was a MEAN GUY, bibble bashing wifebeater type and this absolved her of any wrongdoing.
woman logic that because her dad was an butthole, this excuses any wrongdoing by her later in life. It's hard to believe that there was not some projection here by the writers
She literally tells a powerful senator that she's betrayed him and walks off like she's Jesus or something because she's done maybe one whole legal thing in like several seasons at that point
I hated how every character had absolutely no tact like everyone wants to walk up to random strangers and ask them moronic questions even though in RL it'd at best be embarrassing and at worst it'd get you fricking killed. And that's everybody from all the FBI agents to the bloody cartel priest. Everyone thought they were playing 4D chess or something but they were absolutely autistic instead. The series also basically ended on a cliffhanger so basically they planned for one more season but Netflix must've axed it in their usual stupidity.
The FBI in general were such nothingburgers. Why take all that time showing those gay agents? Why make the pregnant black woman so seriously when she just ends up giving up anyways?
>Nooooo we do various illegal shit all the time but not any voter fraud that let's the Republicans in power that'd be evil
Fricking Wendy Byrd that miserable c**t
Ignoring all the moronation I actually like Marty. His quirky witty way of thinking and quick comebacks are just funny to me. I know this sounds fricking plebbit but I just think he could have done well in a series with actual good writing, the character Marty that is.
I did find it kinda funny when Marty just smirks when he realizes his son is as psychopathic as they are as parents at the end. Kinda the only icing on that series finale
My mom forced me to watch the an episode of this and my only feeling, other than despair at the state of television, was the thought that every single character should be shot and forgotten. show would be much better if in the first 15 minutes the ATF or somebody rolled up and machine gunned the cast before it started
>s01 was pretty good >s02 was fine but the daughter and side character plots dragged it down >s03 is kino >s04 was fine but somehow felt rushed even though it was a split season
I started watching because S3 had just aired and people were gushing about it. I honestly thought that the show got worse each season, S3 was way overrated imho
I don't, but all of the main cast forgive Wendy because they learn that her dad was mean. Ruth, Jonah, the daughter whose name I don't even remember, Marty.
I love Ozark, but it got so repetitive >marty, we are SO close, don't quit on me now >mmm yeah we'll see, mkay? good talk *leaves*
>jonah, we need to stick together, this family needs to be together if we're gonna make it out alive >wendy, let him go, mkay? I'll talk to him >[jonah leaves while mumbling about Ben]
>navarro, we need at least a week to pull this off >not good, wendy, you got one day
I hated how Omar Navarro kept flip flopping every episode he was in. >"Ok Marty you can do dis, yer really smart Wendy Byrd I can trust you to keep my business safe"
Also >"REEEEEE frick you Wendy and Marty Byrd I'll fricking KEEEEL YEW I NEED MY MONEY RIGHT NOW"
Funnily enough Wendy the mother commiting herself in a mental hospital to get her kids to feel guilty so she could gaslight them into giving up their independence is one of the most realistic things in a series cause my mother did the same thing to my family
I knew this season would suck in that second half episode when Ruth kept listening to Black person rap something she never did before the whole series and she was so obsessed with listening to gangsta rap instead of avenging her cousin she asks some random homie about Tupac in Chicago even though it's fricking West Coast hip hop. Truly stellar writing there. Really going for the Golden Globes wins on that
She was always listening to golden age hip hop since season 1. She even had a Tupac tee when she pretended to apply for a stripper position so she'd get a layout of the office.
This show turned to shit after they killed off the original cartel bad guy. Nothing beyond that phased the Byrds at all and they shrugged off every adversary. Then by the end it went full moron and they were dusting their shoulders off after getting into huge car wrecks and being held at gunpoint every few minutes.
A lot of shows are being forced to have mid-season breaks and a cliffhanger. I wouldn't be surprised they had to rewrite things to include the car scene which made no difference.
It was obviously set up as a "sign from God" as evidenced by the conversation from the priest. He told Wendy God was telling them to stop that they were being warned but Wendy saw it as them being invincible.
Why did Jonah have an obsession with death and guns in the first season that just goes away in the last seasons and now he's obsessed with online banking like his dad?
Literally every character could die and I wouldn't give a damn.
MARTY
It's an amazing series.

>It's an amazing series.
Until it isn't
Which is pretty much right away. I watched 4 episodes or so, and they were shit.
First couple seasons were ok but you could tell by the 3rd they were writing themselves into a corner and were rushing to wrap things up.
It's probably one of the better original series on Netflix but that's not saying much
Jonah and Ruth were the only good characters.
>Wendy is the only character you sympathize with
Literally the worst and most evil character in the entire show. Wendy is the whole reason marty and his kids are still in this situation. Frick that b***h.
I thought it'd be a swerve that she faked her brother's death, turned out she didn't...
Of course not. B-but she had to!! How any of her allies can look her straight in the face after that is beyond me. I havent seen the final episodes yet but I really hope ruth puts a bullet in her kneecap at the fricking least.
The ending was so shit it totally killed off any feelings I had for the show. So unsatisfying they could’ve easily fixed it if any of the byrds died.
To be fair any of the characters that got killed or lost they were acting like such morons anyways I felt no sympathy for them so I guess no ending is just as good as any ending at that point. The series just wanted to remind you how evil Wendy and Marty were
jason bateman wanted an ending where they won. but you can't make that in america.
Also she shouldn't have fricked Ben or interfered with him either since he was obviously too mentally ill.
Ruth is one of the worst characters ever.
I remember the dad getting his toenails ripped off in the first season finale and in the next scene he's walking normally.
Frick Netflix
It just gets worse every season. They had a cool idea but then didn't know what the frick to do with it and it ends up being really fricking boring.
>Yea sure…I don’t know. We’ll.. we’ll set up another offshore account and pay ourself a loan with this asset as collateral

Kek. They dropped the details on something that should be a massive plot point
>we’ll just double our laundering. Yep no problem
They sorta handwaved it as the FBI was covering for them and the Senators were in their pockets by then but yeah it just was sloppy writing at that point
I couldn’t tell you, I had no interest in watching this show. Life is miserable enough, no reason to waste so much time watching a poorly-lit miserable show with drab music.

what makes you think anything wendy did was "excused?"
She literally tells a powerful senator that she's betrayed him and walks off like she's Jesus or something because she's done maybe one whole legal thing in like several seasons at that point
They establish her father is a piece of shit in season 1 or 2. She talks all about him to Mason when he kidnaps her.
>must hate women because they are all caricature c**ts
Female or cuck paw wrote this

>JONAH
They gave way too much screentime to some of the most irrelevant, boring characters. The FBI agent getting bonked on the head made me audibly laugh.

>Yea mom and dad mom and dad
>But mom?
>Dad too.
>I’m going back to the motel

Should have let her die in episode 1
MARTYYYYYYY!!! ASK RUTH FOR A HANDJOB, MARTYYYYY!!!
>I’m not going to beat your dick off mawty, so quit yer asking
Why didn't they frick?
She was fricking Ben
she had some spare time to frick marty too
For some reason she wanted that Blue Note diner owner the ex druggie to live with her badly so I'm guessing she was probably gay
Just caught up with the final episodes JFC what a stupid ending to a series
>s01 was pretty good

I never watched the show but I like watching recipes if the show. Comfy storyline.

you can tell white people wrote this show
it was hot when the neanderthal daughter got piped by the boatchad
is no one going to talk about them getting into an accident in the last season and that it had nothing to do with the story?
A lot of shows are being forced to have mid-season breaks and a cliffhanger. I wouldn't be surprised they had to rewrite things to include the car scene which made no difference.
It was obviously set up as a "sign from God" as evidenced by the conversation from the priest. He told Wendy God was telling them to stop that they were being warned but Wendy saw it as them being invincible.
I thought the daughter looked like a young version of Laura Dern which was kinda hot
she was a grug
Is that shopped?
No.
Now you're just shopping her face onto Chloe the Fridge Moretz
She literally looks like a dude I went to school with hair, face and body identical. He probably a troony now
The shop is close enough lmao
What the frick man
She's starting in a Cavewoman movie next obviously
Her body was tight though even if her face is weird
This isn’t real. You’re fricking with me
It's real.
Nice photoshop.
"And I'll unleashed the grugg on you"
Ideal ending: Wendy dies, Marty and Ruth live happily ever after.
Why did Jonah have an obsession with death and guns in the first season that just goes away in the last seasons and now he's obsessed with online banking like his dad?
This series was like all decent series like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sopranos etc it started good went to shit
I want to pork Charlotte while Wendy watches
CMON WENDY WE GOTTA LAUNDER ANOTHER BATCH
This show lost me with the gay blowjob scene.
>Character is evil....because he is a glowie and a homosexual
How did they get away with this?
