No. It was trying to create like a bew trainspotting. It failed. Plus it was directly pro-drugs so that woukd have made the marketing difficult

'arty is gone. I suggest you start a word doc, title it 'personal gemmys' and write to your hearts content from now on.

They should have set it somewhere with good clubs. Manchester had the best clubs and bands in the 90's. Cardiff clubs have always been rubbish.

I appreciate they set it somewhere with naff clubs, reflects the experience for the majority of us

Leeds is/was the quintessential mid club city though

      >movie set in Cardiff
      >none of them have Welsh accents

What did they mean by this?

Also, Human Traffic was actually pretty great up until about the third act where they go to the after party at the house. Just lost its energy at that point

Cardiff is an English city near Wales and always has been.

Cardiff is the capital of Wales.

of course, it's the come down/morning after mellow mood

No. It was trying to create like a bew trainspotting. It failed. Plus it was directly pro-drugs so that woukd have made the marketing difficult

        >trying to create a new trainspotting
        >pro drugs
these arw jurualky contradictory. it was only trying to create a new team spotting insofar as it was trying to make a great 90s working class culture British film

I remember Bam Magera saying this was his favourite movie in interview around the mid 2000s

This is the only movie that portrays Wales accurately:

For me, it's Spaced. It even had a clubbing episode with them all getting wasted on E so it scratches that itch.

As someone who was into this kind of scene in the UK at the time, this is a very hard watch, arse achingly cringey.
Quite an enjoyable soundtrack though, and Danny Dyer is far and away the best performer/character.

Was he the main one/narrator? I only watched this last year and kept thinking the main guy was a young Martin Freeman

Main narrator guy is the guy on our right, from 'Life on Mars' (pic related).
I can't remember his name, but he does that narration voice over thing a lot in the roles he plays.
Danny Dyer is the guy that gets caught wanking by his dad in the bathroom or something, the friendly dealer, Moff.

That one episode of Spaced (moreso 2000s, but it fits)

        Kino

It's from 2009 and it's Spanish but check out Mentiras y gordas

I remember watching it high af and being really annoyed by it. In retrospect I think I just hate 90s club kid era films, especially from anglos.
