for a moment i thought her weight seemed to little, but actually yeah, for an approx 145 cm 15 year old girl, it's quite normal
assuming she has no muscles, normal bone density and fat distribution, and her breasts aren't unusually large (which all seems to be the case) her BMI would be about 20- squarely at "normal"

While CompHet relationships exist, so do women who are bi that call themselves lesbians because of how easy it can be to subdue your attraction to men around men.

Regardless, not every Velma is a lesbian, nor is Velma a better or worse character when she's written gay, straight, or bi.

Why can't she be bisexual? I mean it's less mental gymnastics then saying a lesbian can date and even frick guys before she decides " nah, I only like women now".

I personally think they just have low sex drives and say they're asexual to fit in. But I'd sooner say asexuals are real than admit bisexuals are a real thing.

Regardless, not every Velma is a lesbian, nor is Velma a better or worse character when she's written gay, straight, or bi.

I've thought a lot about this push to have Velma be seen as strictly a lesbian rather than bi. I think it has something to do with how many shows leaned into bisexuality as a way to "have their cake and eat it too." So a lot of lesbians and/or people who like lesbians are frustrated that every girl on girl pairing is between two bisexuals and not two lesbians. So when they decide that they want velma to be gay, she can't just be bisexual (which would be consistent with her having had male love interests in the past.) They have to retroactively say she's always been a lesbian icon and any evidence to the contrary was studio mandated or just her being confused. At this point velma being gay has become bigger than velma, the character and so it's doubtful we'll ever see her show attraction towards a guy again. And I don't know why that bugs me so much but it does.
