I am baffled as to how anyone could like this character. He has no supporting cast outside of other batman characters, no good villains outside of other batman characters, and no good stories. All of his recent comics and even adaptations have focused on how attractive he is, or his ass, or his dick, and nothing actually interesting about him. Hes like a joke character, except no one realises the joke. Dick grayson has been nightwing for almost 40 years and yet he has done absolutely nothing. He's just another guy batman keeps around.
Dude it’s ok. We all know how you feel beast boy gay. I’d get mad too when no one likes your self insert.
He is a cheaper version of Peter Parker in the sense of self-insert and that's his only appeal and that's fine too
Sexier than Peter.
Sticks to his own company instead of self inserts with marvel girls or Lucina.
Dick still has a hot redhead girlfriend.
it was because he was the first robin, and robin is the most definitive sidekick to the most badass capeshit hero.
So if you like the concept of the plucky sidekick growing up to surpass their mentor, he’s like the most obvious choice.
They fumbled all that hard though Dick is an absolute gay character and annoying and whiney and boring and empty and entitled as frick since he became nightwing. But the concept is the appeal not the execution.
His fans have convinced themselves that he's the main character of the DCU and any day now he'll be leading the JLA and have his own movie and be a household name outside of being Robin.
Why do you make these scenarios in your head to get mad about?
He's literally the reason DC Comics acknowledges the passage of time in the DC Universe.
You like Nightwing more for his character and less for his actual stories. While I'll admit the last 6ish years haven't been ideal I always look back to his post crisis character and his really long character arc that he was unintentionally given to by writers.
There's a reason Miles is so much more popular than him despite being a much newer legacy character.
No one cares about the Robins, Batman is often better without them.
>There's a reason Miles is so much more popular than him despite being a much newer legacy character.
Because of marketing and movies?
>No one cares about the Robins, Batman is often better without them.
The only people who say this, don’t like Batman.
a post saying that Red Hood is the best character in Batfam, and soon after, with the flop of the other post, a new post asking how people like DC's most badass character from the 80s to 2011. My sensor indicates baiting.
>most badass character from the 80s to 2011
He's been raped like 7 times, how is that badass
It's happened three times. He's the biggest victim of sexual harassment and/or assault in big two comics.
He's still badass though. Nobody acknowledges those stories.
>I am baffled as to how anyone could like Dick
Typical Cinemaphile straight male.
I like him as robin but he's really boring as nightwing and I truly do not understand how he's popular.
He’s not popular. The average person has no idea who nightwing is.
His color scheme is nice
>He has no supporting cast outside of other batman characters
Uhhh....
Zoomers don't get that the NTT were only created so Robin would have a cooler group friends.
>Zoomers don't get that the NTT were only created so Robin would have a cooler group friends.
During the original Teen Titans run, they created some OC friends for Robin like Mal Duncan and Two-Face's daughter cosplaying as the Joker's daughter.
OK, to be fair, there was also Bumblebee, who's gone on to mainstream love.
Technically Duela was created in Batman Family, not the Teen Titans franchise. But I said cool friends.
Dick isn't the main character of The New Teen Titans. Not just that but the NTT haven't been good in nearly 40 years.
>I am baffled as to how anyone could like this character.
No one does, it's just a meme
I like him.
I like his costume, and I like how he's the first Robin that grew up and became his own hero. Honestly, this seems like such a simple slam-dunk of a concept, that I'm surprised that it's been floundering for so long.
