This series was mad kino, and that ending is one of the most ballsy ones for a children's cartoon.
The love interest of the main character through the entire series gets fricking killed in the last episode and MC has to live with that

Redwall is not only pure kino but also explicitly conservative and right-wing without being on the nose and maintaining high artistic value. It's a must read / watch for your children.
There was a time during the whole turn every book into a movie after the HP craze I was looking forward to a Redwall or Wings of Fire movie. But now, I don't want anyone to try anything, they just frick it up.
