They are basically unrelated. There's some stuff from the old show that gets carried over to the new one but you aren't really missing out by skipping it. New show is only 4 seasons and has two decent tie in movies. One taking place around season 2 and another that should be watched after the end of the show. Blood and Chrome miniseries should be skipped and caprica was an okay idea that went nowhere.
I think if you like TOS trek you'll likely enjoy most of the original bsg. Some of it doesn't hit right for me but it's also pretty short so it wasn't a pain to get to the end. I'd say go for it. Though the remake is infinitely better to me.
Don't forget to watch the miniseries before the main show as well. I've seen a lot of moronic streaming services that just start at the episode 33 and forget to include it
What happened to her? Last thing I saw her in was some hicklib show where they paired her with the gross boomer protagonist. Weird watching her get worked over by a 70 year old man.
Season 1 kino
Season 2 great
Razor decent
Season 3 okay
Face of the Enemy moronic bullshit
Season 4 more moronic bullshit
Blood and Chrome boring shit didn't finish
Caprica garbage fan fiction but hot teen girls
This one was fine. They really don't play up the feminist angle with her, she has realistic flaws, and Starbuck is kinda moronic in a distinctly woman's way.
Sure but they don't make it about gender grievance. There's no plot line or character motivation about how she has to prove that girls can be pilots just as well as--or even better than boys. She doesn't have to shame or discredit some male pilot that thinks she's just a lil lady.
I was so frustrated when they were all depressed after finding nuked Earth. Kobol was right there. It was still a garden paradise and wasn't nuked when you left it. Just go there. Christ man talk about manufactured drama.
she doesn't need fixing. she's already perfect.
Should I watch the OG series with Templeton Peck before watching this, or is it not really worth it?
Also where tf do I watch any of this shit in the first place (no I won't google it fu)

I don't mean is it relevant to the reboot. I just want to know if the original series is worth watching on its own. I love 60's Star Trek

>why 33? why not 32 or 34?
They've made their peace.

She's in Star Wars slop now, so she's at least getting work.
Is she still pleasing old men for money like in Longmire?
dis homie serious?
>ywn be that cigar
Moore was such a coomer. All the women in BSG were total babes
>Baltar had a threesome with number 6 AND Lucy lawless
I can make her worse

So say we all.
are you implying every man on the ship has already tried to fix her
Another example of why you need to treat writers like cattle or they think they're smart.
Frak
let's take a chad white man and turn him into a girl boss
yass queen
Gya post

>They really don't play up the feminist angle with her
See
Sure she's the best pilot, best hand to hand fighter and the best operator.
you forgot angel sent by God to watch over humanity

I was so frustrated when the manipulative killerbots were actually just humans 2.0
That and sacrificing the Pegasus instead of Galactica. Zero sense besides "the plot needs it to happen"
Was the 70s BSG a sequel then? And the 70s BSG humans were descendants of the red cylons?
That's a man
michael cera looking fine
>I can fix her
Viper
>We can't risk our ace pilot in a shootout!
>Hey, I'm the best in and out of a wienerpit!
That's when I knew I was watching pseudo-"military" slop.
