It is indeed a great movie, by far the greatest action movie of all time. There has never been anything like it before and there never will be again.
This
It's completely seamless. The entire film was created as a storyboard years and years before it started production. It was polished for decades so the editing and choreography are flawless.
How'd he do it?
This is Miller's best movie.
That's not Babe
This.
Fury Road is on par with Waterworld. Like 3 fun action scenes surrounded by a vast ocean of boring bullshit. But at least Waterworld didn't have 4 women.
>a vast ocean of boring bullshit
What? The only boring bit could be after they meet the Lesbo Desert Warriors up until the second canyon chase.
My guy there's probably like 10 minutes total of quiet/slow parts in the entire movie.
Wrong. You are gay..
youre wrong and gay but also waterworld rules
frick you.
you’re a homosexual that plays DnD
You're a homosexual posting on an anime image board. We're all homosexuals.
The Raid movies mog it into the ground. It was a boring snoozefest, zero action just cars bumping into each other on the desert road.
>The Raid movies mog it into the ground
Why are Raidgays like this?
The first Raid was solid, but the sequel was a boring piece of shit that tried waaay to hard to be epic.
Raid movies are the ultimate example of less is more. Every big fight scene becomes a snoozefest when you see the characters get kicked in the head 30 times with no impact on them. They should have paid more attention to Jackie Chan movies and learned what makes a fight scene compelling
>by far the greatest action movie of all time
What a terrible opinion
It's called Furiosa, chud.
This. Zoomers were too young to see this in cinemas and now they are sour grapes, just like how they seethe because they know they were born too late. Enjoy the collapse zoomies, even someone born in 1994 had it much much much much much better than somone born 1997.
basedlennial gonna start jacking off terminator2 or independance day NEWS FLASH its corny bro
i'm a zoomer and I saw it in theatres thoughever. Zoomers are as old as 27 now.
They weren't old enough. Except maybe the absolute oldest of them. Also you are what we call an outlier
Why do zoomers lie about what they experienced?
This movies from 9 years ago anon, a decent amount of zoomers would’ve been high school aged when it came out, and plenty could’ve been taken to the theater by their dad or older sibling
homosexual I saw Rambo 4 in the cinema. Checkmate.
Im a millennial and I fail to see your point. If zoomers want to see good cinema, they can always go online and download good movies from the past. I was born in the 90s and I have missed the 80s action movies, yet I have seen most of them on my TV.
Besides, a good TV/sound system, beats the theater experience on multiple levels nowadays.
You are the one who sounds like a bitter homosexual
>even someone born in 1994 had it much much much much much better than somone born 1997
1997 bros...why do we always get shit on so much?
Kinda hyberbolic, but Fury Road is a damn good action movie. There are better action movies though. I prefer hardcore henry, kill bill 1 and john wick 4 a bit more than fury road
>by far the greatest action movie of all time.
Terminator 2 mogs this lmao.
>There has never been anything like it before and there never will be again.
This is true. It's main competitors for GOAT action film are a couple decades older, there's nothing else using contemporary tech with this amount of S-tier in-camera action.
It achieves a scale possible by advancements in art and craft of filmmaking, which also should have simultaneously been impossible to get funded and finished.
You're literally talking out of your butthole. It's not an interesting film at all, I am sorry.
My god, it's like there has become this community of fricking idiots online who congratulate each other on liking this mediocre shit.
Frick you moron; this stupid fricking Hot Wheels™ experience is a piece of shit to anyone with taste and sensibility, even as just an action film.
this
>bawwwww it's not interesting!!
It excels in every technical aspect of filmmaking and is a masterpiece, if you're not interested in flawlessly executed cinema then you're just a brainlet.
Since you made no argument in your post, name 3 post-2000 action movies that are better.
The Equalizer (2014)
The Equalizer 2 (2018)
The Equalizer 3 (2023)
He said that are better.
John Wick
John Wick: Chapter 2
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum
John Wick: Chapter 4
John Wick...I mean sure if you love the cgi blood, cgi knives stuff instead of just doing it properly, the next movies just get worse and worse and becomes almost parody of itself.
>NOOO NOT MUH HECKIN PUPPERINO!!1!
Overrated trash, all style no substance.
>respect a mans possessions
Plenty for me.
What's the next suggestion, the Daniel Craig Bond movies?
Tee hee, and Problem Child 2 amirite??
FPBP. The film snobs are SEETHING at this, holy shit.
They hated him because he told the truth.
Correct
Witnessed, SHINY AND CHROMED
>by far the greatest action movie of all time
Thinking about it, this is unironically, objectively true. Compare it to the other all time great action movies like Die Hard, Terminator, Indiana Jones, etc. All excellent movies by every regard, but they pale in comparison to Fury Road and that is the ultimate testament to its quality.
>but they pale in comparison
broooooooo you just posted huge cringe
aliens is much better in every single quality that matters. acting, script, lighting, camera work, score, direction, cinematography.
>aliens is much better in every single quality that matters. acting, script, lighting, camera work, score, direction, cinematography.
Debateable, I'd say the camera work, direction, and cinematography, even the score at some points, vastly outdoes anything shown in Aliens.
Based. All these snobs are the same breed as that b***h moderator at Cannes
?si=AUv_hNPnckiZSFQK&t=2283
Why? Explain.
instead of being a normal action movie where its 60% action this one is 90% action while telling a deeper story than any movie with 5x its dialogue
Miller perfected the 2 act movie.
Act 1: A bunch of cars drive out into the desert while killing each other
Act2: A bunch more cars drive back to the start while killing each other
It was truly something to behold and I pity the Anons who didn’t see it in theatre.
I remember when that movie was called Halo CE. And it was a video game.
>90% action while telling a deeper story
That I will agree. The unnecessarily long movies of today would have Max tell a sad story of his past about how he left a little girl behind or let her down but in Fury Road it’s a 1 second flashback that makes you think ‘oh he’s seen some shit’ and it continues with the action.
For me, it's Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
>100 minutes
>90 minutes of fighting
>10 minutes of exposition
>mfw Gogeta and Broly hit each other hard enough to break space time.
Lmao it's boring shit wihout any dialogue, character or story. It's all a repetitive setpiece and in then they turn back and repeat
Name one bloved action movie and it's nothing like it and billions of times better
Shit movie
But the boring dialogue bits are actually the most engaging scenes in any action film. The action scenes are boring and you can easily fast forward through them without losing anything of value.
It has a great score for one thing, it's like a long metal track with an orchestra and the most insane vehicle combat ever.
It's only when I rewatched it that some of the characters stood out, mostly Nux.
It can't be over exaggerated how amazing the score is in Fury Road.
I've watched it loud with a good set of headphones and it's overwhelming how intense and perfect it is.
The Raid movies are great action movies but they're not as good as Fury Road by a long shot.
This guy gets it.
One actual complaint I had about Furiosa is the score. Sometimes it felt unfinished or it sounded generic
I haven't seen Furiosa yet but I knew it would never match up to Fury Road because it was basically impossible to maintain that level of consistent quality.
I haven't been to the cinema since Joker and laid out a bunch of money for Atmos and a 65" OLED. Kinda felt bad about not seeing Furiosa because of how much I love Fury Road.
I knew it wouldn’t be as good but I was still so happy to see it in theaters. Definitely worth it. If Fury Road is 10/10 then Furiosa is like 8.5/10 in my book
It’s shamelessly fun and whacky and very well directed
I'm mad that Miller made Furiosa but I'm even more mad that it was actually good and then bombed.
It is a damn shame but I'm glad George Miller was able to make exactly the film he wanted to cause this is probably his last one, unfortunately
There's no chance that Warner Bros. will just drop Mad Max. We have a few Terminator and Alien movies although there were flops. They'll probably try again.
i think it's possible but there's zero chance the budget will be that high again. then again i heard that the australian government paid for the majority of it. Miller is probably out though, he's fricking 80
>Miller is probably out though, he's fricking 80
It's his fault. Bastard's lazy as hell.
I'm more mad that the trust in film died enough for people to not watch it.
>and then bombed
I think it would have performed ok, if it had been released back in 2017-2018.
It came way too late after Fury Road's hype has dies down and on a period where people are apathetic at best towards Hollywood.
also the fact that it a prequel origin story rather than a sequel
Thing is fury road didn’t do THAT WELL at the box office, so they really should’ve just had Miller make a smaller movie with a sensible 8 figure budget.
Half the budget was paid for by the Australian government anyway just to film in the country
were they that desperate to turn their country into a tourist land like new zealand for lotr?
The first three movies were filmed there, I’d imagine it was more for training future Australian film makers. 90% of the landscapes were edited by CGI to match fury road
Dementus was the better villain than Joe for actually having more screen time than Joe did in both movies, having a backstory that is implied to be exactly like Max's, and Hemsworth was actually very entertaining in the setting as an actor. Joe is the costume and the voice, and the lore of the Citadel.
meant for
>muh backstory
>muh lore
Just have a nice day.
Joe was better simply because he was the main villain in the better movie, he had the voice and the presence that was required for him. Dementous was good but suffered from a weaker story, honestly furiosa should’ve just been an out an out sequel and have dementous be the rival warlord swooping in to take the citadel, most of the movie could’ve been the same
>in the better movie
It's a better action movie because that's 90% of what's going on. Doesn't make sense that Dementus has the weaker story when we see more of him, we see him go through multiple transitions, and he has a backstory that is more understandable and relatable than an ugly war lord that just wants sex slaves
Dementous is a megalomaniac with delusions of grandeurs that collapses when he’s presented with the slightest pressure outside his expertise. I’m not saying he’s a bad villain poorly performed, I’m simply saying that the story around him in general is weaker and not living up to the performance. We see less of Joe yes, but his presence is felt throughout the movie and as cold and calculating as he’s presented, he has a real air of authority and is shown to be a real leader making the best of a terrible situation, we consider him monstrous because we relate to him based on our morality in our world, but in all honesty he has a point in every horror he orders. THAT is what makes him the better villain.
My point is there is no story around Joe that relates to his personality or his history. In Fury Road we know nothing about him besides he's an butthole and he wants a genetically pure son to rule his feudal society. He is barely in the movie, I feel like people are overestimating how much screen time he had. Dementus on the other hand feels like he's in his own movie at times.
>people are overestimating how much screen time he had
Screentime does not matter as much as presence and impact
That's good for visuals not characterization. Everything about Joe is basically inferred by his appearance and dress, and that all he does in the movie is aggressively pursue Furiosa and the wives. To be clear this is in comparison to Dementus, I'm saying Dementus had more characterization than Joe. Joe is a great character and villain on his own.
Yeah, and imagine my disappointment that the prequel to fury road in no way attempted to explain ANYTHING about how Joe established the three cornerstones of his society and was just about how the stronk woman got to be his right hand man. Once again though I did like Dinentous and enjoyed his story, it just wasn’t the story I wanted and he never had a good enough actor to play off of. Honestly he was just Toe cutter from the first movie, just less rapey
Furiosa proved herself constantly in her own movie that she knew what the frick she was doing, even as a kid. then she learned how to drive the war rig. once she lost her arm she wasn't "pure" for him to be one of his women
These movies aren't supposed to explain anything. The setting is supposed to be strange with strange people and a lot of visual minutiae that can tell a story on its own. Miller is extremely, extremely good at little details in these movies. Especially Fury Road and Furiosa.
What was the point of a prequel that in no way established anything new or told a new story? Furiosa (which let’s be honest, is a stupid name for a mother to name her child) becomes her full self by the time she meets dementous and from that point on she just gets angrier, she never grows or changes in the movie, which I believe is a large part of a woman’s power fantasy, but max took a whole ass movie to become MAD Max. It’s just sad that miller could’ve used this to tell a better story, but he just settled on rehashing fury road but with worse visuals
>but he just settled on rehashing fury road but with worse visuals
Did we watch the same movie at all?
Probably not, I saw Garfield
George Miller is like if Kojima could make a good movie.
Honestly Kojima should try to convince miller to write a game with him
i like norman reedus and george miller so im gonna try death stranding, miller is actually in death stranding 2 go watch the trailer
Immortan Joe was a colonel in the war who went rogue with his small band of comrades, that's his back story so maybe the People eater and Major Kalashnikov of the bullet farm were his mates.
Joe will be an all-time iconic movie villain. Dementus was okay, but he was no Immortan Joe.
Maybe in the way that Boba Fett was..
No way, Immortan Joe was essentially Trump. He will be villified eternal.
What does that mean? He was a fat israelite loving moron?
Don't think too hard. Furiosa is just the worst Fury Road with the most moronic actor from Thor.
Note that Fury Road had the idea that got Miller to make the fourth Mad Max movie in the first place. Furiosa is just trying to replicate that. Too bad.
hemsworth and his character were the only good things about furiosa
Furiosa is just the YA novel version of Fury Road, it’s not bad but it was targeted towards the wrong audience and set in the wrong time period. Hemsworth was the best actor in the movie by far and knew the project he was in top to bottom, he was far better than the female lead
was this really a furiossa movie? honestly it was just hemsworth pissing off the wasteland
it bombed because it was marketed as a girl boss movie instead of the kino wasteland 40 day war we got
>kino wasteland 40 day war
you mean the war they completely skip over in 15 seconds?
my only large complaint with Furiosa. I know the movie was already long and there was no way they could fit in another massive think like that in it, but then why the frick include it if you're just gonna go "so anyway then Furiosa fought 5 of the last guys and killed Thor"
>you mean the war they completely skip over in 15 seconds?
that was done well plus the movie is almost 2.5 hours long
Yeah I don't blame them for skipping it, I do blame them for introducing it when it's physically impossible to portray it. and they should have portrayed it to some extent because that's fricking cool.
shit, I would have taken a montage. anything more than whatever boring transition they did in the movie.
you forget most of the movie is dementus bringing an army to the citadel, taking gas town, and destroying the bullet farm. It was a medieval siege movie with motorbikes and guns
if you're indian
It looks great but all the women talking while Max just sits there is pretty boring
Not true.
That's what women usually do. They talk. While the man does the work.
Road Warrior is still the better movie.
Doof Warrior is still the better character
This is true, Road Warrior has more soul and is a masterpiece, but Fury Road is still amazing and is a very close second.
It's okay.
Yep.
i think its close between fury road and mad max
fury road > mad max > road warrior > beyond thunderdome
God Thunderdome fricking sucks
Road Warrior = Fury Road > Mad Max > Furiosa > Thunderdome
For me it's
Fury Road > Road Warrior > Furiosa > Mad Max > Thunderdome
I'd argue that all of them are good.
1 has the most metal final act. Even 3 has some awesome moments.
Road Warrior
Mad MAx
Thunderdome
>>>>>>>> the rest.
Recently had the chance to see it in theaters and I agree, I like the low-fantasy feel better
Agreed. Road Warrior has a gradual build up where the final chase sequence is truly something to behold and the largest spectacle of the whole movie. Fury Road has diminishing returns. The opening car chase is so much more interesting, engaging and intense than the final sequence.
Yep
I just desaturate it a bit and add noise in VLC so it looks more "filmy" and then it's perfect.
Also play it at like 97% speed. Sometimes it's too fast.
Watch the Black and Chrome edition. I thought it was gimmicky at first but I rewatched and it is clearly the better version.
Nah I liked the washed out desaturated look, adds to the grit of it. BW seems a bit pretentious.
Maybe I'll run it through some "film stock" filter in Premiere to get a vintage film stock look from the late 70s/early 80s. I'll see if that works.
Can you explain why Black and Chrome edition? Fury Road did a great job with color.
It was edited in blavk and white, and I think did the camerawork with b/w in mind and intended it to be released in b/w but Warners said no, obviously. The color version is great, but I highly recommend the B/W version to any fans of the movie.
Black and Chrome is dogshit and you have the shittiest taste in the fricking world
And to the other anon, don't try it
It's just the exact same fricking movie, but black and white.
Could have been kino with some post production, actually CGI coloring stuff with a shiny chrome and crushing all blacks? Yes.
It is like that? No. It's plain black and white, no post production or touchups or anything. They literally just dropped the movie in a post production render, Edit>Remove Color, and that's it, literally.
Just download and watch DVD, moron.
Ending sucked
I know I’ll be called gay but I got legit chills in the theater when you heard the engines revving at the beginning Warner Bros logo. Saw it twice in theaters and probably one of the best movie experiences I’ve had
I'll never forgive myself for not watching Fury Road on the big screen. It's probably the last real movie.
"Furiosa" is worth seeing in Dolby, if you even can anymore. Saw it twice, worth it for the War Rig scenes for sure.
Even if Furiosa has something worth seeing in a movie theater.... I can't now because there's a war in my country.
USA?
It's not November yet, anon.
That sucks, man. I'm sure there are far bigger inconveniences in your life than not seeing kinos at the 'plex from the war. Sorry.
I saw "The Batman" in Dolby as well and when the Batmobile comes alive, the sound from that scene alone made the entire experience a good one. I only say this because I'm sure there'll be future movies that justify the theater-going experience in the future and while it sucks you missed out on the ones you wanted, there's likely to be another.
Hope you and your family make it through alright, brother.
do you have a webm for when they enter the storm and it goes blue and you see cars flying up
gay and YNGMI
I also saw it twice in theaters.
I pity you.
I saw it four times in theaters, including at the premier. But I was raised on the originals and had been following shitty production leak videos on YouTube for years at that point.
Same story here, though we had a double bill of Mad Max and Road Warrior before the Fury Road showing too, was great, always wanted to see the Road Warrior on the big screen, like you, raised on these films from a young age.
That initial startup of the clapped out Interceptor at the start of Fury Road was great through the cinema speakers!
I remember it being endless praise, until others outside of Cinemaphile started praising it too, then it became "shit" and "feminist crap".
Same thing is happening with Furiosa but in reverse, anons missing out because they've fallen for bullshit, and then will watch it at home and regret not seeing it at the cinema.
>I remember it being endless praise, until others outside of Cinemaphile started praising it too, then it became "shit" and "feminist crap".
culture war shit happened. it was 2015 anon, Trump's campaign was announced weeks after this came out. we're living in this moron world now.
>anons missing out because they've fallen for bullshit, and then will watch it at home and regret not seeing it at the cinema
yep webrip threads are gonna be funny
homosexual redditor, you know you don't belong here.
>I got chills in my butthole
you were so predictable and yet you still couldn't resist, you gigantic moron
When the music swells during the spiker scene, and they bulldoze the front part to put the fire out...
And then the snap zoom on the supercharger while it "breathes" in air
I almost came and everyone walking out of the theatre was collectively united by cinema, gushing over it.
I kind of miss it.
Are you me? Remember going to see it with my brother and when we left both looking at each other in awe. Especially THAT whole scene with the music and them shooting all the bikers etc. My local cinema put Fury Road on about a month or two back and we both went to see it again, still amazing.
Only movie in last decade or so to come anywhere close to the same feeling was Top Gun Maverick, when the movie begins the same with Kenny Logins etc I knew it was going to be good.
>And then the snap zoom on the supercharger while it "breathes" in air
God I love that bit.
Charlize was fricking great in this too. Her screams of pain or anger are chilling, like when she gets stabbed while hanging on to Max or when that guy hisses in her face.
That was one of my favorite scenes and I still think about it when I open up the throttle going down the highway
Brothers in arms gets me fricking going every time
I'm glad that your girlfriends boyfriend let you go and watch it buddy.

Only one I'm bent out of shape over. I had to work and all my friends got a bunch of mushrooms for the movie.
An actually reasonably positive discussion about Fury Road on Cinemaphile? Holy shit I must be hallucinating.
It was like this when the movie came out too. No one could deny the kino they had witnessed with their own eyes.
Those threads were full of people who didn't see it but hated it because it was femslop. Imagine getting talked out of seeing Fury Road in the theater.
It was pure unadulterated femslop by today's standards
I disagree and if I wasn't in bed already I would dig the archive to prove it. IIRC everyone was memeing the movie here, from anons swearing on how good it was to calling each other bloodbags at every opportunity. Kek
It took Cinemaphile like a storm.
Okay I'm wrong, I do kinda remember some threads like that now, not for very long though
literally just search "vegana monologues" in the archive and you'll see months and months of seething about fury road before and after release
It was like that before, especially with the review embargo, and like that ever since but I remember a brief time on release when everyone was like "holy shit it's actually amazing".
>Imagine getting talked out of seeing Fury Road in the theater.
Imagine actually listening to the autistic screeching masses on Cinemaphile
I liked it but I thought fury road was much more fun
this movie is more feminist slop than Furiosa
your moronation is exhausting
the entire plot is about escaping patriarchal control of women whereas Furiosa is a slower character driven revenge story. I can remember the exact scene where Max gives a visceral reaction to the chastity belts like come on lmfao
>escaping patriarchal control of women
The biker lesbians are all dried up crones, their matriarchy an abject failure.
The answer doesn't lie there, either.
the film ends with those matriarchs who lived in their own previous matriarch dominated society in a fertile lush Green Place, being literally raised to the sky to take over the previous despotic patriarchal society that existed solely for one man to birth a son from chastity wearing hotties. it's not even funny how packed with feminist elements Fury Road was. not that I'm complaining, it's a good movie but Furiosa was the complete opposite of feminist slop and had essentially zero points relating anything to feminism, but it's being trashed on here by people who apparently love Fury Road despite it being glaringly and obviously a more female-centered plot.
Max had a visceral reaction to seeing a bunch of hot women instead of potential threats with a shit ton of water in the desert. the chastity belt focus was for the audience since we still had no idea what the frick was going on with the women.
Mad Max: Fury Road was a great, fun movie. Furiosa was the israelites trying to put their hooks into it.
When was the last time you WITNESS ME'd, anon?
witness this 5
Mediocre, anon. Mediocre.
>In fact, Mad Max director George Miller enlisted the help of activist, feminist icon, and vegana Monologues author Eve Ensler in order to ensure that
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/05/mad-max-fury-road-eve-ensler-feminist-triumph
the second one really felt like a theme park but I appreciate the fact that they went all-in on the surrounding lore of the citadel and warboys
It’s a great movie but it was a mistake to film it in Namibia. I just finished my rewatch of the series and honestly I now think that the first is the best one, it’s the only movie with a complete story about a world and has a definitive ending that pushes the world forward, the rest, while still good, feel like tall tales of a mythic wasteland about a reluctant hero thrust to complete a destiny. Max’s descent from being a family man and police officer trying to hold the small world he lives in together until it’s ripped from him by the decay that surrounds him was perfect, and the setting felt real. Which honestly looking at today was refreshing, I wish we had follow ups on his old police captain, and a follow up on how the corrupt courts collapsed. That’s the real flaw of furiosa, it set itself in to odd a place, when furiosa was a child the world should’ve had a semblance of sense still.
1>4>2>>3=>4
The game is pretty fuggin good.
>When you hear the War-Rig blare its horn for the fist time.
I was the only one I know who did it (I am autistic) but I was shouting WITNESS ME! passing trucks on the interstate for a good few months after watching Fury Road.
why are the visual effects so bad in furiosa?
cars seemed to stop way too quickly, with no physics. like they didn't rock back and forth when stopping, and sometimes no dust was kicked up when the stopped
its like they were just frozen in place
>its like they were just frozen in place
they probably were, its was obviously shot on a sound studio
where in your vegana did you pull this from?
Trailer alone its obvious, a lot of CGI and it was color graded to frick and back. Not good signs if you want authenticity.
It's a solid movie but nothing worth seeing more than once.
So I haven't even seen Furiosa yet but if she cause this much trouble for Immortan Joe that he cuts her arm off, he is kind of nearsighted.
Imagine how long he'd stay in power if he just had her killed outright.
He’s not the one who cuts her arm off, in all honesty Joe is actually a good guy in this. He’s seen as diplomatic thoughtful and willing to listen when given new information, they never set up a real reason why furiosa would betray him, especially since she sees first hand what the world he has to manage is like
Probably had to do with her almost becoming his sex slave and empathizing with his wives for that season. It's not complicated moron
They live in an irradiated wasteland where a majority of them won’t live until 20 anon. The guy is a monster sure, but he was able to rebuild a way of surviving long term in the wasteland, but what’s the point of that when the average life span is 20?
The whole thing breaks down for me when considering her upbringing, how long was the world dead for? In mad max there was still a functioning court system that seemed to abide by SOME code of law. Why was there just this diverse matriarchy of hunter gatherers happened at what would’ve been around that time. As I said the whole movie is just a ya novel in its structure and a let down after watching the series itself, but then again so was thunderdome
why the FRICK do they all live in the middle of the desert? just pick the coast
I don't think there is a coast, Max even says that the salt goes on forever so they turn around for plan B.
i have a theory the end of fury road was supposed to be way different with them riding out into the salt but the execs told miller to wrap it up with a nice bow
That’s a horrible ending that nobody would write for this movie
not right when it happens in the movie obviously something would have to happen to to joe
It was after Joe was killed
Max lived on the coast in the first movie, there is no way the ocean is gone, you see it from space at the beginning of the movie.
you could tell that he looked at her since a little girl that his intention was to frick her eventually. he was giving up so much just so he could join his other women
He wanted her in his harem. She had to pretend to be a boy for 10 years to escape.
I knew it was the greatest film when my mom and sister walked out on the showing right as the warboys were riding out. Filtered them right on the spot.
lmfao the female brain couldnt handle the pure kino
Haha, yes, frick your dumb mother and sister. Us blokes know what’s up!
>he wants a genetically pure son
What a c**t. Glad that troupe of prostitutes and their lapdog escaped. 10/10 best movie evar with v logical motivations for all characters.
anyone else remember the negative reaction when the first trailer came out? everyone was like
>wtf why are there so many pretty women in this wasteland, they're literally models who can't act
trailer showed zero of the story and part of why it blew people away when they finally saw it
Bidengays vote against their own economic interests
i've been doing better under biden than trump thougheverbeit
I can't believe how shit it was
worst film I've ever seen
whole film is just a giant car chase with barely audible dialogue and no discernible plot
literally a 0/10
forgot to say i'm a woman
Miller hired vegana Monologues writer as a consultant. Fury Road was designed for women.
its nu-slop. mad max 2 mogs it in every single way and its not close
>NEW BAD OLD GOOD
yes, nu-slop is objectively bad. there is no dialogue, pacing, building tension. Instead of being shot in the actual outback and having an authentic feel and soul the movie is instead fake cgi backdrops, everythings looks fake. Actual pure fricking souless slop. Cinema is fricking dead and has been for a while now.
>Instead of being shot in the actual outback and having an authentic feel and soul the movie is instead fake cgi backdrops, everythings looks fake.
It's shot in a desert in namibia. Only some parts of the environments are fake.
mad max fury road is a reimagining, a tacit satire if you will, of the chevrolet americana aesthetics as depicted in films like two lane blacktop and more importantly american graffiti. the over the top but not as self aware car fetishization in graffiti, the merry go round of cars in the city constantly on the move totally reminiscent of the continuous vehicular movement in fury road , the basic structure and the temporal awareness in both films is the same, everything happens within a days time
This movie is literal communist feminist propaganda
>muh brainwashed men need to be tamed by a woman to cure them of their toxic masculinity (nux)
>men are obsessed with vehicles and trying to achieve a higher status within their lot in society (this is portrayed as bad in the film)
>muh patriarchal capitalist overlord only keeps the water for himself, but when females get elected, they make sure everyone gets their "fair share" (women being in power is shown as a good thing even if they make bad decisions)
>nux claims the world ending wasn't his fault, still gets blamed by the feminist heroes for it anyway, "then who killed the world?" (typical of how conversations with irl feminists usually goes "and who's killing men? Other men!" , except in this case, the feminists are portrayed in a good light, and nux is portrayed as defending the evil "patriarchy"
I will say though, the one thing that doesn't fit in with this, is the behind-the-scenes backstory of the vuvalini, George's view of them isn't as flattering as what was portrayed in the film. I enjoyed the film on a superficial level as an action flick, but I utterly reject the political premise offered by the movie as any kind of semblance to our irl world.
fury Road can only really be experienced in a cimema
>what if mad max but reddit
that's it, that's fury road. george miller is on record being a feminist
I thought Dementus was really weak. More of a joke character than anything else, he literally fails at everything throughout the movie.
I have no idea how he even got a following.
this. I wonder why he wasn't killed by his gang after the failed attempt to take citadel.
I thought whilst watching the movie that he was deliberately ruining gas town on purpose to draw out Joe and make bigger demands. The whole scene of him escorting them out reinforced that idea
Dementus wanted to be a conqueror, not a ruler, that's the advantage Joe had over the other wannabe warlords. I liked the character of Dementus and his biker gang, they reminded me of Lord Humungus' forces and I'm glad they didn't have their own gimmick like the war boys
That's why he's interesting. Just some random bogan bikie going to war with THE Immortan Joe.
because he's charismatic and well spoken, did you miss all his speeches in the beginning? he's incredibly verbose through the movie in a highfalutin way. pretty sure the "great conquer, poor administrator" is a classic trope. Hemsworth was the absolute best part of this movie.
>he literally fails at everything throughout the movie.
no he doesnt he literally succeeds at being the best father the wasteland has ever seen
furiosa is the exact precise opposite of woke, and infact reinforces the absolute fricking necessity (and timeless beauty) of toxic masculinity
Furiosa™ (2024) is one of the best movies to come out in theatres in YEARS
Dementus is furiosa's father
Dementus literally saves little-D multiple times, while teaching her hard, uncomfortable truths about the wasteland
by being a toxically male badass, which little-D learns in time, is how you survive
Furiosas ~~*mother*~~ was some random lesbian cultist,
irreparably damaging her life with the vulvulini shit
>*DEFINITELY YOUR MOTHER*
The teddy bear is furiosas bear, and changes as she grows up. at the end of the movie, the bear only has one arm, like little-D
>(the bear is a SYMBOL OF HOPE, for Dementus, the memory of Little-D).
pretorian-dipshit is the step-dad
at the end, Dementus recognizes her as "little-D" when she tearfully re-takes the bear, seeing that Dementus had *HOPE* all along
lastly, it is directly implied Dementus was the healthy "stag" who was impregnating joes wives
>(joes sons were 'pale genetic abominations, who produced nuke-ruined 3 legged offspring)
Dementus = chad white toxic masculinity (tan, vibrant, long hair, beard, charisma, muscles, height, big-D)
Immortan joe = "immortal israelite" (flanked by literal israelite, and shabbos goy henchmen)
know the difference^
The Rock Rider chase scene + soundtrack is the finest action scene I've ever seen. I would pay full admission to see it in theaters again
Furiosa is better in every single concievable way, and Dementus is the biggest chad the silver-screen has seen in decades, literally
Best mad max is Road Warrior, I miss Mel
>some doggy
>eats canned dog food
>not the dog
Very believable.
>I can't believe how great this movie is
sometimes I wish I had a very low IQ or that I was a moron like OP so that I could enjoy shit like this.
I didn't make it even 10 minutes into this piece of shit before I turned it off.
Boring move with no drama, action scenes that aren't interesting.
I genuinely don't know how or why people like it.
>where is my drama, quips and guys with superpowers
>if you hated my moron movie, you probably enjoyed the other moron movie
Did you feel that posting that image would somehow represent me and not you?
A mistake.
"Mad Max" is just another "Avengers", it's you who lacks the taste to say so.
>"Mad Max" is just another "Avengers",
If you can't see the difference, you're a moron. Simple as that. Any chance you're black?
>If you can't see the difference, you're a moron. Simple as that. Any chance you're black?
I'm sorry that I insulted your comic book hero anon. Did you really like the part with the Flaming Guitar Man? I felt that added a lot of depth to the film. Or the Drums Car™. That was cool. Just like my Hot Wheels™.
Listen to yourself you fricking moron.
>Listen to yourself you fricking moron.
People in glass houses anon...
>"Mad Max" is just another "Avengers"
Imagine having such shit takes, can you not differentiate a Miller movie from disney marvel slop? Seems like a skill issue on your part.
If anything the Avengers films are better than Mad Max.
Well I guess the Avengers may be better than Mad Max if your taste was a bit wank...now, Road Warrior, the Avengers wishes it could be that good, but never will.
you missed an action scene where a dude slides with his bike underneath a tanker truck which is in full motion to grab a piece of the truck and mount the truck.
it's the dumbest shit. i have no doubt the sub-80 iq posters here will claim it was "badass"
what does this post even mean? what's the complaint? I don't remember this part, I remember a two guys on a bike sliding under to place explosives.
>place explosives
whatever. it's fricking stupid
Reminder that Fury Road is a shit movie and no astroturfing wil change that
If it's such a good action movie then why haven't I seen many webms of it?
The only ones I remember are
>witness me
>Max tied to the front of the truck
>that's bait
>guy playing guitar
>the one ITT (obviously)
It's just a marvel film that doesn't have the marvel logo on it.
HERO MAN™ must stop BAD GUY™ from frickin' heckin'.... something!™
>actually the post-apocalypse warlord isn't very Feminist™ anon, that's why he's the BAD GUY™
>so our GOOD GOY has to help our frickin' Feminists in the post apocalyptic wasteland do...
>nothing
>what, nothing?
>Yeah, they have no plan, so they just "escape", and then realize that they needed everything BAD GUY™ was providing... because despite his lack of Feminism™ he was actually making it possible for people to be alive
>SO LET'S JUST TURN AROUND HAHA
>Wow the guy with the fire guitar™ was super cool!
>It's just a marvel film
Actually, it's just like a Mad Max film, and after reading your post, you seem the type to not be able to comprehend actual cinema, all your points even came across in the most reddity way possible.
Did Miller personally violate your ass? or are you just bitter tha Marvel shite will be forgotten about, whereas people still talk about Mad Max even now.
I'll throw you a bone though, you fricked up straight away at "HERO MAN"...thinking Max is a hero shows just how little you even know about the series itself and the characters you absolute flid.
>I'll throw you a bone though, you fricked up straight away at "HERO MAN"...thinking Max is a hero shows just how little you even know about the series itself and the characters you absolute flid.
The film doesn't stand on it's own merits then.
I have to watch maybe 6-10 hours of footage to understand why HERO MAN™ is NOT a frickin' HECKIN' HERO... OK!!!!???
Lol.
"actual cinema": the car chase movie with the flaming guitar guy and the drums car™? the same movie with the quips and epic "let me do it silly boy :^)" """"action"""" scenes with a skinny woman?
Get a load of yourself. You're just lucky I didn't decide to shit on this marvelslop earlier, harder, and with more precision.
>I have to watch maybe 6-10 hours of footage to understand why HERO MAN™ is NOT a frickin' HECKIN' HERO... OK!!!!???
Yeah actually, when you are watching the fourth movie in a series, it tends to help having seen the others to get an idea of the world, characters etc, simple shit, should be right up your alley moron.
Ignored everything else because you speak llike an actual lispy little reddit homosexual.
>"actual cinema": the car chase movie with the flaming guitar guy and the drums car™? the same movie with the quips and epic "let me do it silly boy :^)" """"action"""" scenes with a skinny woman?
Which scenes were these then?
What a shit reply.
>nu-uh!
Enjoy your Avengers: Hot Wheels edition.
Shit reply for a shit arguement, you don't deserve anything else.
I'll enjoy Mad Max though cheers, maybe yuo should stick to movies more akin to your level of smoothbrain, Paw Patrol is pretty good...you dodged my question too...lol.
I have a nephew who is 9 and he likes Hot Wheels and Fury Road.
You're on the same conversational and argumentative level as my nephew. I'm not surprised you enjoy the same things.
You're just a homosexual.
Enjoy your children's entertainment. 🙂
>ever giving up your inner child
Must be so sad to be you, especially at your age, and having this strange obsession with hotwheels, you a paedo or something? I mean you speak like an absolute reddit mod, so wouldn't surprise me if you were a groomer type.
Either way, I will continue to enjoy my entertainment, thank you, Nothing else to do, not like you are addressing anything I said lol.
Damn motherfricker you just had to take the L and move on you didn't have to take another one making that gayass post.
YEEEERP.
No L to take, just admit the movie, a movie you think is dumb...is too smart for you, seeing as you barely even grasped any of it it seems...and then when I raised some points for you to answer, went avoiding like a gay.
I'd say the only one taking the L should be you, you can't even answer, but you're clearly too busy taking other stuff.
Oh yeah the "smart" part with the drum car and the guitar flames car.
Go on, tell me about all the subtext there.
homosexual lmao.
I'll answer your shit when you answer mine, still avoiding though holy fricking hell.
I'll throw you another bone, the drum car clearly served a purpose, probably lost on you though, too thick to grasp it.
>I'll enjoy Mad Max though cheers
*Furious Furiosa
Another one who paid no attenetion, max did everything of importance in Fury Road.
Get offline every once in a while, your family misses you.
Holy shit you sound too dumb, did you even watch the movie? seems like everything in it went right over your head other than the surface level obvious stuff.
Moaning about a movie being shit, yet being too moronic yourself so you make a load of wrong points lol.
The movie is all surface level stuff. Hahaha.
I just rewatched it last night, kino of the highest order.
All Fury Road respecter will transition in the next 5 years. Good luck xisters!
Why's that? It's not that hard to believe, Miller is a good filmmaker.
Pretty sure my dad checked out when he saw the guitar player guy shooting flames out of it. He said “why?” and I told him you just gotta roll with shit in this type of movie and he thought I was moronic
Its a show of power. I can waste valuable fuel while you cant. You two should grow a brain.
I thought it was like a little drummer boy marching into battle but upgraded
It's both, it's a way to rally your people into war whilst keeping the moral up, but it is also a show of power and dominance.
Shouldn't encourage low IQ behaviour, he had to ask "why" ... instead of understanding something so basic.
It didn’t have to be a guitar shooting flames to “show dominance”, anon. They obviously could have done it in less goofy ways. I obviously think it’s awesome but I could see why people would think it’s silly
>They obviously could have done it in less goofy ways
...in the Mad Max series of all things...
That’s what I meant by my initial comment that “you gotta roll with it” for this series
Based dad
Charlize and Hardy reportedly were frustrated partly because there was barely a script and Miller didn’t really share contextual clues of what they were filming and why. They assumed they could be making nonsensical dogshit the entire time
I fricking wish I was at the premiere for when they first saw it and realized the kino they made. Charlize said she finally “got it” but Hardy still says he doesn’t like his performance
Fury Road is a once in a generation kind of a movie. The kind of movie you'll hear it in a discussion 50 years from now and say "I was there"
i cant believe how moronic the pole boys are.
if you defend this ill call you a capeshitter
I bet you prefer /misc/boys, chud
>starring a girlboss
not watching
Now you're making positive threads... You're the same guys that killed Furiousa and the future of this series
how did dementus so casually kill joes brother that it was a point of comic relief furiosa was so mid marvel slop frick sake
at least it wasn't a bunch of holes taking off their chastity belts
Road Warrior mogs. It was good thoughbeit
