I'm still to see what made the originals so beloved, to be honest. They're fun blockbusters, but that's all there is to them, the sort of thing you can always watch if you stumble upon it while channel surfing, but not good enough to actually seek. They're essentially just Michael Bay movies but with sane pacing.
