Jakkooine was good
The Force Awakens and the Last Jedi are unironically great, it's too bad Rise of Skywalker tanked the entire thing
gilf obi-wan was worth the second movie existing
they made me realize that Star Wars is for children
Sort of this. The Last Jedi really broke the spell consumerism had over me.
I like the plinkett review for them and the last jedi in particular is my favorite background noise to play while I do yard work.
The scenes of Rey scavenging and living in the desert were comfy.
It had good costuming and set pieces. Thats about all Disney can bring to production value.
It's over.
Rose is hot.
john williams's score was good
otherwise, it's shit
TLJ is one of the better shot Star Wars movies. TFA doesn't look bad, either. McDiarmid's more creepy Emperor was a fun performance. Driver was a good casting choice too.
I liked Rey's theme. The whimsical one.
Like how the best track in all of Star Wars is the love theme from Attack of the Clones. Don't care what it's attached to.
Attack of the Clones' score is absolutely sublime from beginning to end, it's some of John Williams' finest work. It's too bad it's attached to an otherwise completely dogshit movie.
>I challenge you to say 1 nice thing about the Sequel Trilogy
I didn't hate them until the Internet mob decided I should. I was entertained.
But I'm not a Star Wars fan. Shit is gay. I was never invested enough to have strong feelings one way or the other. I liked them better than the prequels and the relentlessly boring Rogue One.
They made people see the truth about the prequels
Finn vs Kylo lightsaber fight in TFA was unironically great
short and concise, violent & genuinely looks like they want to kill each other instead of fencing, good depiction of how an injured force user would stack up against a common soldier with a lightsaber
It forced Mark Hamill to unJUST himself
Most of the costume design was fine. You/I can think of a few examples that were awful, but that just means the rest did the job. Perfectly serviceable, probably.
Shot in England/at Pinewood. As a bong with friends who work in film, glad the work's still there.
They use practical effects more than Marvel and does looks better on screen. Having a 1 year frame for VFX helps too.
Luke
Adam Drivers performance.
It led to the current downfall of Disney
I can say a couple
>The Sequels are all visually stunning
>John Williams' score was alright
>Poe and Finn would have been fine characters in an OT-era spin off show
I also think some ideas were fine, even if the execution was botched and/or misplaced
>Rey Nobody
>The Vader-esque character taking over the spot of emperor
>Regretful stormtrooper
Some visuals are nice
Music is still John williams so it's still good.
1 nice thing about the Sequel Trilogy
TR-8R was great
It wasn't as bad as the prequel trilogy.
>It wasn't as bad as the prequel trilogy
True
Rey's Armpit
The sequel trilogy— ya might as well see it through
The salt planet at the end of 8 was awesome and having Luke as a pessimistic old man who throws the lightsaber away was a cool idea but it wasn't done very well.
I appreciate them shooting on 35mm
