How come rappers from the hood are always nice to Nardwuar but alt-rock bands always treat him like shit?

Because most alt-rock bands are tryhards. Nard is the goofy white guy from Vancouver British Colombia who's got more intel than the FBI to rappers.

Rock Musicians tend towards cluster B personalities. My friend is a musician and he is pretty chill in general but he gets shark eyes when it comes to crowds or large groups of people paying attention to him. Those kind of guys have real megalomaniacal self image and they get nasty if they are put in an unpredictable situation where they could be embarrassed

      >Due to his absurd and eccentric style, he has been attacked verbally, physically threatened, and intimidated by people such as Dave Rowntree of Blur, who harassed and eventually assaulted Nardwuar.[17] Sonic Youth, Alice Cooper, Henry Rollins, Travis Barker, Lydia Lunch, Harlan Ellison, Beck, Nas, and others have hung up on him or been verbally combative in interviews.[18]

The schtick is that he's a massive dork dweeb but he knows all the secrets of artists. Childhood stuff, and he also gifts artists obscure shit that he knows they love that isn't well known, so he is well regarded by the people he interviews.
Even Henry Rollins who was initially a dick, at the end of the interview complimented him and thanked him for doing so much work/research and not being like other rag journos.

You've got the flow of money backward anon. Just like with all those shelves full of books by hack moron politicians at your local Barnes and Noble "telling all," the print magazine or tabloid exists to launder money and justify the payout. Paparazzi are getting money from somewhere, but it's not the sales of their employer's publication. I'll give you one guess as to where it's actually originating.
