Aqua Teen is not something that needs to be explained.
It's totally random humor. If you are not "getting it" then that means you are autistic and need everything explained like you are reading a wiki article instead of watching a piece of media,
Because there is nothing to get about it. It is just a completely randomized collection of words and sounds for really stoned boomers in the 1990s to laugh at and make claims of grasping the subtle intelligent humor. They have no idea what was said, and they have no idea why it is funny. but they laugh anyway and repeat the same one liners and convince their fellow stoned boomers that it is the most hilarious string of words in the English language.
The plots are very straightforward even if the situations are surreal, are you fricking stupid? It's not just random noise, it's honestly a very coherent show and uses basic surrealism as a comedy device.
>are you fricking stupid?
He is for sure. Almost every episode has a basic fricking formula. People itt are so stupid that they think not listening to the characters talking or following what's going on means the show is too random and not the fault of their stupid brains.
In fairness to them, most people probably suffer from too much sensory deprivation due to the lack of animation or movement onscreen to pay attention to the dialogue.
Describe literally any episode. And make it make sense. >The one where Master Shake yells really loud >The one where Master Shake throws the remote and it blows up (Hilarious!)
Meatwad is left in a dryer for a week, giving him static electricity powers. In order to try and get rid of them, he rubs himself on a balloon, which absorbs the static and grows to a tremendous size while shooting lightning bolts. They attempt to solve this issue, and in the process believe to kill Meatwad. Meatwad is not actually dead however, and appears at the end of the episode with electricity powers again, which he uses to kill Shake.
You can do this for literally any episode. They have absurd premises but the plots move from point to point pretty logically.

What are you guys talking about? Regular show makes about as much sense and has the same level of humor yet you don't see people criticizing that for being too random.
Regular show has a plot, antagonist that is defeated, and a resolution.
Aqua Teen has people screaming a lot and then credits roll at random parts of the episode as if the animators knew damn well the stoned boomers were not paying enough attention to know the episode was done.
Aqua Teen episodes always have an antagonist, sometimes it's one of the trio, sometimes it's Carl, sometimes it's a monster of the week. The plot is centered around getting past whatever conflict they set up, and it normally ends in a resolution where one of the characters dies if not all of them. I'm legitimately starting to wonder if you've even watched the show.
>Regular show has a plot
The two characters don't do their job, that's as much plot as Mastershake watching tv. >antagonist that is defeated
Plenty of episodes of aqua teen have that. Why is that important for humor? >and a resolution.
Why is that important for comedy? You're just making stuff up to be mad at. > stoned boomers
Ehhh people who like this are all 70+ right? And stuff like XRA which has an internet cult following makes total sense right? Fricking moron.
Yeah, like the episode where Shake is abducted by aliens and has to get back home.
Or the episode with the evil Leprechauns that use rainbows to mug people.
Or the episode with the monster that's worried he's not scary enough who it turns out has been eating people in the guy's attic.
It's almost like the episodes have plots, antagonists, and resolutions.
>It is just a completely randomized collection of words and sounds
No, it's very basic situational comedy with a more outlandish tone. >for really stoned boomers in the 1990s to laugh at
It was a 2000s show watched primarily by Millennials in high school and college, no I don't care about your shitty meme that anyone older than Gen Z is a "Boomer" >and make claims of grasping the subtle intelligent humor.
I've literally never seen anyone claim this, it's a stupid comedy that embraces its stupidity

I feel like you just have a hateboner for "boomers" and are looking for any excuse to shit on them. These posts are totally nonsensical.
If anything 12 oz mouse has something for the sober crowd too. There is a plot and there is a purpose behind the show's weirdness. Season 3 and the specials are kind of tacked on, the first 2 seasons are all you need to get a grasp on the story.
I blame myself. It's a curse. Whenever I have an opinion on something, the popular opinion tends to be the opposite. I hate ATHF so now everyone else has to like it.
It's just suppose to be a comfy show where your watch dickheads get into misadventures. If you don't like the characters obviously you're not going to like the show. That's the whole appeal of these "Slice of Life" genre series, if the characters are good one can enjoy watching them go to the groceries.
I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I watched it all the time when I was a kid. But only for the first 3 seasons. I know it's a buzzword, but the show became too mean-spirited for me after season 4 or so.
Comedy about terrible people being terrible is just not relateable to some people, same with gross-out humor.
it is supposed to be weird and off putting and often gross and messed up and you have to want a weird gross mini trip to enjoy it
black people like it

this its a surrealist comedy show with improvisational dialogue an autist is not going to enjoy anything about it

homie ATHF didn't even air until the end of 2000, shut the frick up and quit pushing generation dividing bullshit.
Beavis and butthead feels like athf but actually funny. That might be just me though
>a completely randomized collection of words and sounds
You're actually moronic if you don't get what's being on that show.

Meanwhile you never answered OP, how is it funny?
Holy filtered

It's a old AS stoner cartoon. What's to get? Just get high and laugh
People who don't do drugs wouldn't understand.
What kind of drugs would I need in order to get Smiling Friends?
I've never taken drugs in my life and enjoy ATHF and have ever since I was a teenager. I feel like drugs really aren't a requirement here.
Fair, I think that might apply more to 12 Oz. Mouse
That one isn't generally liked here but i found it funny as hell
If anything 12 oz mouse has something for the sober crowd too. There is a plot and there is a purpose behind the show's weirdness. Season 3 and the specials are kind of tacked on, the first 2 seasons are all you need to get a grasp on the story.
