I for one welcome the return of disaster movies. They died down for a while because there were just too damn many of them in the late 90s. But I'll take them over capeshit.

Now *this* could be interesting. All four actresses are still alive and active. And all four are now in the zone of irrelevance where it's hard to get work at their age. But Hollywood would totally eat that up. It would be hyped as a "older women can still be badass" film.

But at the same time Neve and Fairuza are actually kino actresses who would make sure that the thing is watchable.

I grew up in Bumfrick Nebraska right in the middle of tornado alley. Every summer involved tornado sirens and sitting in the basement bathroom with the family and a radio while hail and high winds hit the house. People think I’m full of shit when I talk about all of the tornadoes I’ve seen and Twister captured that feeling even though it was exaggerated. I just don’t think this CGI fest is going to have the same feeling.

The only two actors that could make a sequel work are dead. I hope it ends with a young tornado chaser drunk and naked throwing a whiskey bottle into a tornado and a CGI Bill Paxton face is in the tornado smiling. It would surpass the ending of Rise Of Skywalker in terms of groundbreaking entertainment.

On IMDb it says it’s “an update to the 1996 film Twister”. So it might just be kids chasing tornados and they’re milking the nostalgia factor of Twister for views.

Red pill me on tornados. Are they really dangerous or are liberals making them out to be more scary than they really are? I know for a fact hurricanes aren’t that bad and have stayed at home during multiple hurricanes and been alright.

Most homes can survive your average tornado. The problem is the F4-F5s. F5s in particular have been shown to rip houses and even plumbing up and out of the foundation. The rest are just lame and easy to survive as long as you have some shelter.

Tornados in the original Twister were dark, almost black. In Twister 2 the tornados are much lighter in color, almost appearing as white. In reality tornados are aquamarine so these films are pure political nonsense. But if you look directly at a tornado that’s within 30 yards of you it will suck the eyeballs out of your head.

It wasn’t the liberals it was the right wing farmers. They hate diversity in their small communities so they scare outsiders with these imaginary tornadoes they made up to scare away outsiders. If you live in a city and want to leave, move to where the tornadoes are, or more like, where they aren’t are.

You're making something up just to be mad at it.
They've made it pretty clear from the trailer and the frickingbtitle that the escalation is a double funnel ("WE GOT TWIIINS"!).
My guess is that Helen's character will feature on a Zoom call expressing regret that they were never quite able to hit the funding for D.O.R.O.T.H.Y that they wanted, even with the successful field test.
And our new hero, confronted with having to tornadoes, will have to make a choice about which one to try to break up with they'll new D.O.R.O.T.H.Y. If it's trying to be a good film, she'll make the hard decision and actually pick one. If it's just trying to be OK, she'll alter the programming and drive the drones into both funnels and degrade then down from F-5's to T-3s. A bad film will have her alter the drones and STILL break up both tornadoes, somehow.
