Perez's run (especially the first two dozen issues where he's on art) is elder god-tier. I can't believe it doesn't get shilled more, it was hugely popular at the time and for good reason.

You forgot the kino after Perez and before Byrne/Jimenez
I seem to remember liking the azzarello chiang run when new52 was new. But I don't read much capes so maybe my taste is shit. That and dial h are the only new52 comics I remember.
Azzarello is a terrible cape writer. I don't know who let crime comic writers work on superheroes, let alone non-vigilante superheroes. Bendis and Brubaker are also bad at it.
Mieville Dial H was alright, but I didn't finish it.
I been reading comics since I was 8 years old and never ran out of finding something to read over all these years of all genres, sounds like you're just lazy and can't look for stuff. There's so many comics out there that you'll find something you like so quit b***hing and find something or do something else.
Am I the only one that hates splash panels like this where they yell out the character’s name and the drawing looks frozen in time and lacking any momentum? I see it all the time, and I get it, comic books, but it always feels so artificial and mandated.
well... >capeshit
oh. That's to be expected. There's little reason to care nor get invested and even if you do odds are the next chuckle frick is going to undo or ruin all the shit you cared about
If you've been following Marvel and DC's mainline comics, especially this century, you're a moron. You've been reading almost nothing but crap. And for what?
I used to frequent Cinemaphile a lot and the constant doomposting about the state of vidya actually had me just hate videogames in general. I would look at a trailer and gameplay and my first thought would be "wow Cinemaphile would hate this" eventually I had enough and just stopped going on Cinemaphile and only go on Cinemaphile and /tg/. After a while I kinda just started enjoying vidya again, I could actually criticize games without buzzwords or agendas and realized that constant negativity just brings everyone down with you. Anyways the same is with Cinemaphile tbh, I'm already frequenting here less and less and I'm starting to enjoy comics more and more and I'm even branching out and reading indie and 3rd party shit, I'm having a blast.
When you tune out culture war shit and can criticize something without it life just becomes a lot better
Lack of motion lines and having them carry out a conversation midfall gives the impression she's not moving. It's not just a modern comic problem either.
Wonder Woman has no good comics.
Perez's run (especially the first two dozen issues where he's on art) is elder god-tier. I can't believe it doesn't get shilled more, it was hugely popular at the time and for good reason.
What about Jimenez after him?
You forgot the kino after Perez and before Byrne/Jimenez
Loebs has written some of the best Wonder Woman stories I've ever read
He also had a fun flash run.
He usually get forgotten because his comkcs are usually between more known runs
Because it's not very good.
Nope.
You haven't even read any of that you pile of shit.
>Perez's run (especially the first two dozen issues where he's on art) is elder god-tier.
lol no
it's okay

His Wonder Woman is a lot better than his Batman
Wrong. Don't @ me with
>it-it's not actually a wonder woman comic, what he did with the mythos was-
I don't care
Trash.
New 52 Wonder Woman was pretty good from what I remember.
they're not worth reading
steven universe sucks
It does, and so do comics.
why are you even here?
It does, but nobody asked.
Ok?

There's so much more to comics than what DC and Marvel put out, man.
Am I the only one that hates splash panels like this where they yell out the character’s name and the drawing looks frozen in time and lacking any momentum? I see it all the time, and I get it, comic books, but it always feels so artificial and mandated.
I definitely don't like seeing it in modern comics.
The art has to be *really* good to justify it and the one in OP certainly is not.
I don’t blame you.
Because they're not very good. Read something else and move on with your life.
well...

I'm still baffled whenever they do shit like this in comics.
>"thanks for the introduction"
>they say her name after she says that
????
If you've been following Marvel and DC's mainline comics, especially this century, you're a moron. You've been reading almost nothing but crap. And for what?
Then read adult books. Problem solved. Or do you need pictures as a visual aid?
>comics books
Comics are more than just capeshit, Miguel.

Yeah, the word for that kind of environment is toxic, but you can't say that t-word here.
Same here anon. I just come here for the occasional story time and a hearty kek.
You're a naturally selected slave for letting Cinemaphile easily influence you, instead of being genuine.
I'm not
Why does modern comic art look so weird and static
Lack of motion lines and having them carry out a conversation midfall gives the impression she's not moving. It's not just a modern comic problem either.
You like most Americans are probably illiterate
idk what you expect if you are an old man now you stay reading out of habit but any younger guys just drop it since they suck
Have you tried reading something other than capeshit?
yes
>other than capeshit
Most non capeshit is bad or pretentious.
Horror stuff is the exception
I'm sure you've come to that opinion after only reading like 10 non-capeshit books.
Horror is one of the worst genres for comics.
