I fricking hate when cartoons basically fill their shows with walking stereotypes and tries to pass them off as characters, like these Cinemaphile creators have to real life exercise to take from or simply don't know how to write people more complexly, it's why bully characters suck so much

I think it's just "trope" inertia. it's the same reason cartoons still depict zoos like they are from the Victorian era and prisoners wear striped clothing. If you actually went to them and actually forced them to research the topic they would change it.
Prisoners wear orange though?
I've seen plenty of cartoons where prisoners wear orange, and even a few where zoos are more like modern zoos.
I don't if this post is serious or not, but i actually agree 100%. It seems like all cartoons have the same template of characters of the Simpsons with some small tweaks here and there
>he doesnt like just watching characters with an obvious part to play playing their part
bullies are always funny characters, you just suck
That isn't exclusive to bully characters anon. I don't know if you are only entertained by bully characters or non bullies characters with other straight forward roles but either way he was referring to stereotypical characters moore generally, with bully characters just being an example of it.
That's what happens when you write things based on other media that you've consumed instead of doing it based upon real life experiences and your own imagination.
While I completely agree with this statement, most internet cartoonists who pitch their own cartoons aren't any better, because the people who really want to make cartoons the most these days are autists who never leave their house and hate real people.
>the people who really want to make cartoons the most these days are autists who never leave their house and hate real people.
You didn't have to hit this hard.
It's weird how those types of people almost always try to pitch a kid's show. They don't know anything about kids. The only time they ever see a kid is when they're jerking off. They don't have any wisdom or values or life lessons to impart to kids, other than "don't waste your life being bitter on the internet". Like Mr Enter. Watching/critiquing a ton of kid's cartoons doesn't make you an expert, if anything it gives you the most dunning-kruger ego ever.
Just don't write a cartoon about children then.
Okay, now you're making me paranoid. I don't have kids of my own but I'm working on a kids cartoon, but it's because I hate a shit childhood and I basically wrote stories at around 11, and I'm trying to rekindle that. I live in a bad part of town so my gf and I don't go out much and are usually at home, and we occasionally watch old cartoons. You're making me feel bad, here.
jesus , evertyhing that went wrong on this show later seasons in just one pic.
>Vick dont even care to hide she evil
>father is so moronic he dont notice his son having fairies
>the fairies not caring to hide anymore
>all those useless add characters
>Every video game is Tron
Danny Phantom is shit.
This is more of Cinemaphile thing but I really hate the meme personalities characters, the ones whose whole personality is one joke.
Yeah, and your personality is being a whiny moron
>Muh Tsundere
>Muh Yandere
>Muh shitty isekai protag with gimmick personality

Queen bee/rich bullies are the worst
Actual bullies are never fat ugly poorly-dressed slobs with no friends. They're usually confident, well-dressed attractive people at the top of the social hierarchy with an entire circle of trusted people to back them up. If you try to confront them about what they're doing they can just deny and feign ignorance, then minimize and blame and shame and guilt-trip you into agreeing with the consensus. And when that doesn't work they actively try to silence and discredit you, and if all of the above fails they resort to physical violence.
If you were bullied, you deserve it for having the nerve to be a non-Chad in Chad's world. It is your designated position in society to be a punching bag, and you will be punished if you dare to defy your role.
How does Stockholm syndrome feel anon?
You WILL silently take all of the abuse that is heaped upon you. That is your purpose. The meaning of your life is to suffer for the benefit of more important people.
No. The meaning of life is physically dominating anyonr you perceive to be below you. Honor is an obsolete concept, we have regressed into the law of the jungle. Hit the gym. Still too weak or shit genetics? Take PEDs. You will find how much better people will start treating you once they realize you can physically overpower them. If someone bigger and stronger than you tries to abuse you, make no exceptions. Use whatever you have. Take revenge. Push him down the stairs as revenge and break his nose while he's in pain.
Yes. Violence is the way of the world. It's kill or be killed. Life is a war. Win it or DIE.
It's either a stupid troll or Andrew Tate-like cult follower.
Are you people moronic he's clearly being sarcastic, he clearly doesn't actually side with the bullies, if you can't understand sarcasm one would still think his image would clue you in.
His sarcasm is a cringy shit. Although people with such ideas are not uncommon.
All of society's problems are caused by the ridiculous notion that the weak deserve to exist.
Fairly Odd Parents was never good about this to begin with though. I thought if anything, it was kinda known for being this bad with it's character writing.

Butch is such a hack
Humans practice eugenics with breeding pets and choosing sperm at the sperm bank. This is because without cuck emotions, pure rationality dictates we should have engineered a race of superhumans by now. Only ego and cope explains why we have not.
Imagine we had been selectively breeding smart hot confident people since the 1500s. Wow.
True, I support eugenics, just without the element of force.
Might makes right. Be strong or die.
The issue is the bullies tend to be themselves sub-human, and as that meme points out, the teachers don't care about strength or the bullied kids improving themselves, teachers only care about a status quo they autistically defend as they are too lazy to adjust to new situations.
>The issue is the bullies tend to be themselves sub-human
Is that even true irl? As far as I remember bullies were not really dumb, they didn't get bad grades nor had criminal records, they were just sadists that were confident enough to hurt others due to being charismatic, smart and better looking than the average person.
>Is that even true irl?
It depends.
its not; the real blackpill is that bullies (unless they are psychos) are generally well-adjusted and normal people, just buttholes/have butthole tendencies, the people who got bullied were 50% of the time socially wierd or actually psychos as well.
>Source: Stockholm, Sweden
>the people who got bullied were 50% of the time socially wierd or actually psychos as well.
This is exactly the thing most people don't want to admit. One of my favorite examples was this Netflix doc about school bullying and the focus on some bump frick rual school in the bible belt. They follow this kid and try to make it seem like he does nothing wrong but everytime he is on the bus he is going around touching people without their consent, trying to cuddle people 2-3 grades above him and even farts on someone. In another kid they follow when the bus comes he refuses to sit down and the bus driver is yelling at them to find a seat. Instead of going to any of the many empty seats they keep trying to shit on some older kids lap and acting like the whole thing is a game when everyone is trying to go home from school and they can't because the kid is acting like a moron and refuss to sit down.
>Black mentality
>bullies tend to be themselves sub-human
Yes. The ideal state of being is a savage degenerate beast that kills everything within sight. A perfect world is one where everyone is killing each other until only one person is left. That person will be the winner of the game of life, the ultimate being. The goal of evolution is to produce something strong enough to kill everything else.
>t. Autistic sperg that doesn't realize his own limitations as an individual
Kill. Eat. Win.
as stated before: sub-human
Having to improve is kind of against the spirit of successful eugenics. A superior specimen won't need to go through self improvement regimens to emulate something that comes natural to others. If you start artificially messing with the pecking order it will skew the results.
That would be okay if bullies aknowledged themselves as the de-facto pseudo little nazis they are.
but no, they always make up excuses, they only aknowledge they were evil several years after their abuse and use the "I was an immature kid at the time" as an excuse rather than actually doing anything about it, the truth is they were just social vampires using the defenseless to feed their sadism while they are still young and above the law
That's why if you were a bully as a kid and aknowledge that BUT never did anything about it sorry but you are still the same sociopath you were when you were little, if you weren't a sociopath the guilt would make you do something rather than just "be ashamed of yourself" or "renounce your past"
>if you weren't a sociopath the guilt would make you do something rather than just "be ashamed of yourself" or "renounce your past"
Yeah it's called "I stopped doing it cause I realised it was fricking wrong and stupid."
Since you don't seem to go outside anymore since you are a pussy I'll let you in on a not secret: Bullying doesn't stop. Even adults bully other adults and it's not a rare thing either.
Sounds narcissistic.
You sound like the protagonist from that incel comic that was storytimed here yesterday
It's very rare case. Usually bully is a fatherless ghetto delinquent Black person or Black person-like white trash.
Maybe if it comes from a decadent, detached society that doesn't values the roles of the bases of the piramid aka your tipical ceo, just look at the ones on the vidya industry, that or you come from a bunch of decadent [inbreds]
>What femboys makes to youth
Bullies are not complex. In essence two things cause bullying behavior: moral rot and facing no consequences.
It's a comedy
Francis is a stock archetype bully character and they don't need to pretend he's anything beyond that because he exists for straightforward jokes and simple conflicts surrounding that trope
It’s a cliche and in memorable way of doing it
boring and gay writting
This. Where the frick is my heckin lore? Where are the deep emotional characters? And most importantly where are all the ugly lesbians??? I hate comedy!
FOP is failed attempt at a fun comedy cartoon
>FOP is failed attempt at a fun comedy cartoon
It was funny for a couple seasons but Butch couldn't help but be Butch and quickly ruined it.
Did FOP touch you or something?
Did anyone noticed how american media show bullies as dumb brutes or spoiled rich kids that don't even need to work? Meanwhile the losers are always smart and full of potential.
Meanwhile anime show bullies as perfect students while the victims are just dumb autists that are doomed to be outcasts forever, they even go as far as showing that those victims are most of the time not even good people as well.
Dunno Japan media looks WAY more cold about it.
its literally their culture to bully the outcasts who refuse to become ''drones'' also now as salaryman
yes. whereas Western culture loves the trope of the heroic underdog who slays the forces of darkness and all that.
Dunno a lot of bullies in anime seem also to be delinquents while the actual perfect students are above that shit.
What potential did Timmy have?
Aside from sucking complete dick
>Comedy show about a kid having a shitty life has tropes as an excuse for plot
>OP seethes
You shouldn't be watching kid cartoons in the first place if you want "real depictions of people".
What anime are you watching? Most of the ones I see either have street delinquents or total morons as bullies.
One of the bullies at my high school was an honor student /in the student council
She was fat though
>Did anyone noticed how american media show bullies as dumb brutes or spoiled rich kids that don't even need to work? Meanwhile the losers are always smart and full of potential.
Unfortunately anime also suffered from same shit (especially since early anime were heavily influenced from American cartoon), including the ones from Osamu Tezuka. Fortunately it's mostly a thing of the past.
Reminder that Eric and Dylan were not bullied.
Also someone needs to draw a line as to where it is bullying and where it's just straight abuse and assault.
I keep seeing headlines with "Bullying" in it, when in fact, it's a group of thugs beating a kid to death.
>reminder that Eric and Dylan were not bullied
Correct. They were bullies themselves and weren't liked for their rude behaviour.
I think it's essential for every kid to know how to throw a punch.
>j-just ignore the bully
No. Break their fricking jaw. That'll make them think twice before messing with you.
I just don't understand why Tommy never tried to get Terrence expelled or something
I wonder what brought this particular combination of characters together at the beach. Other than Timmy's hopeless crush on Trixie, none of them like each other. Was it a school field trip? Where is Tad, Chad, and Veronica? I feel like FoP is one of those shows that has a huge cast but they just tended to be lazy with how much they actually used it, which can be suffering as a kid and you see everyone but your favorite appear believe me I know, I was an anti-Cosmo fan
Well, there was Sanjay and Elmer. Around season 4 they appeared much more than Tad, Chad and Veronica.
Also i'd loved to see Tootie instead Trixie
Having some of them appear in the background or have brief commentary would be interesting. Though I think this is an episode more suited for Trixie than Tootie, since its about Timmy needing to impress with his physique. Maybe after he loses his muscles have Tootie show up to hammer the point that you don't need to be buff to find a girl that likes you. But this show wasn't really THAT on the nose about showing that Tootie was (morally) superior to Trixie so I can see it being seen as unnecessary and unfair.
Veronica is another character I feel was tragically wasted. In fact it seemed like they were going the direction that she would eventually abandon Trixie or popularity altogether (they were constantly picking on her), but instead it just faded and she was removed as a character entirely. These sort of wasted plotlines which really leave certain characters in a state of limbo (Tootie also sorta applies, with her bully sister) seems more traumatic than just flat out killing them on screen would be to kid viewers....
I'll be honest and say I did read a lot of fan fiction using Fairly oddparents. There's a little trend I noticed in that Veronica wouldn't wear things because Trixie told her not to, and that when she blackmail trixie she started blossoming into her own.
Ah yes those old 2000's fairly oddparents fanfictions where Trixie was either uwu misunderstood tomboy nerd or Regina George on crack, in some cases both
Vicky very frequently being a victim of abuse herself or addicted to drugs and drinking
Tootie having welcome to the dollhouse levels of angst/torment
etc etc
A more mature FoP along these themes would actually be the one reboot cash in for this series that would actually catch my interest
In a way Trixie was probably a lot of girls first lesbian crush. Oh she likes boy stuff like me but has to hide it.
The other route is killing Trixie to assume her life.
Logically
Imagine being obsessed with a bat soup eater.
I'm not a fan of school world building.
Look at the popular kids. I feel like they're richest kids in school and that makes them popular. Veronica is a guilty pleasure of mine she has some fun jokes and seems to be at the bottom pf popular kids. Tad and Chad are similarly one note and again just feel like a rich AJ and Chester (at least those two have personalities) Trixie Tang had potential but felt like Butch double down on her vapid and need to be like, before it was decided too expensive to keep having to make a braille script for the actress.
Also a joke I just never liked is the idea these kids have full grown adults working for them.
>before it was decided too expensive to keep having to make a braille script for the actress.
Jesus that's fricked, some Christian he is
?feature=shared
Gonna hijak this thread and say that ever since I saw these I can't help but wonder how the show would have turned out if it was more like the OYC shorts.
>Winner get to kiss me
She seems like she wants to win and kiss Tootie
As a school bullying victim I hate all these media (mostly American ones) with their cringe, out of touch with reality bullies stereotypes. Especially when said media tried to push you the "violence is not the answer" crap (from personal experience, violence was the only, effective way to deal with bullies). Animaniacs was the only American cartoon show made fun of said trope, with an episode of Slappy Squirrel also making fun of modern schools and the way they've dealt with bullies.
>violence was the only, effective way to deal with bullies). Animaniacs was the only American cartoon show made fun of said trope, with an episode of Slappy Squirrel also making fun of modern schools and the way they've dealt with bullies.
true
FOP is a simple gag show for children, you don't watch it for complex characters
Nah, Francis is a funny bully. I liked the scenes where he was suffering.
I can't stand watching anything with dedicated punching bag characters, e.g. Plankton.
insert the inner frat bro dialogue from Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy here
Did he really need it?
The fat guy from Hayarnald was a good bully character who was complex and got development.
Very true
>Steals a ham
>Is israeli
what did he mean by this?
That was a good episode. The fat guy is very childish and has poor impulse control. He even got lectured by his rabbi for both stealing and eating ham. I think they were trying to say this character has a lot of growing to do and he does by the end of the episode. Him being forced to work off his debt at the butcher helped him become a better person.
You read this
Are you the guy who deleted his comment?
It was a great episode
>Are you the guy who deleted his comment?
No, I have no idea what that said, I'm just fully boggled by how that spelling ever happened in the first place.
I misspelled Arnold by one letter and didn't hit the space bar, And used the wrong version of "hey". It's not THAT crazy. Plus I already gave you a raisin cookie. What else do you want from me!?
I don't want anything from you, I just wanted to express my boggling, esl-kun.
Okay, Peggy.
>Pic related. It's you.
Ho yeah!
>spelling mistake
was over before you even began anon.
>Hayarnald
literally how does this happen?
ESL Anon
*Hey Arnold!
Dang, you got me on a typo. What do you want a cookie? Fine here you go! Jokes on you it's raisin.
Reminder Flash Thompson never physically harmed Peter except in a consensual boxing match and that Peter was always kinda an icy dickhead loner who would antagonize him. It's the adoptions that make him try to actually harm Peter.
I wish the MCUcks adapted this Peter instead but he was too based.
Cartoons are made for children, what do you expect. Kek.
I like when cartoons do that. It's funny.
Why was Timmy chasing Trixie when he got a stud over there
He’s moronic
My Black person FOP is a cartoon for children it's not that deep
