Try and explain to me why the Loki series ISN’T a complete and utter rip off of Rick and Morty in every way possible, because you can’t. It’s no shock Rick and Morty ripped it off recently out of revenge. Hell, the creators even admitted to ripping off Rick and Morty.
I don’t even hate Loki as a character, he was a favorite of mine in the franchise until this series- where he’s exactly like Rick in every fricking way, but a stupid crybaby with no useful powers.
It just kinda sucks seeing a char I liked reduced to ripping off a more popular show for ideas and char traits when it could of been something to actually explore the character.
OP is sus
Dude, what? How?
I don't get it.
90% sure most of the Marvel tv showrunners are former Reddit and Memey writers which is why they're similar and reference each other
Oh it def shows for sure. Rick and Morty writers can only write Rick and Morty from what I’ve seen, especially Micheal. They should just kinda stick to it.
>ripping off marvel out of spite that marvel ripped off him.
Who else but Harmon? Marvel hasn’t been good since Disney bought it. I like Loki (character) too….they did him dirty.
>I don’t even hate Loki as a character, he was a favorite of mine in the franchise until this series- where he’s exactly like Rick in every fricking way
Yeah it really felt like a Rick & Morty prequel
>rick and morty invented the multiverse
they're both ripping off star trek
To be fair it's not like pre MCU Loki had a lot of character to explore
is OP a homosexual?
You're moronic. Rick is a god. He can do whatever he wants.
Loki in the TV series is a joke. A Loki in name only that serves as the audience surrogate. He is there so other characters can explain the world. Otherwise, he is ineffectual and useless.
He doesn't even try to trick anyone, he just defaults to fricking kung-fu
Both Rick and Loki are sometimes the smartest person in the universe and sometimes a joke.
Ok. Not really at all. Loki wasn't ever even the smartest in any given room. Even when there were only other Loki there.
Besides that, my main point is that Loki is a blank slate, audience surrogate. While Rick is Rick. They really aren't alike at all
Loki entire premise is about being resourceful.
what does that have to do with Disney+ presents Loki™ ?
Rick and Morty basically poison pilled the idea of "the multiverse", everything after has cribbed from it and it fricking sucks
Doctor Strange 2 and Everything Everywhere All At Once both were basically just extended Rick and Morty episodes.
>Rick and Morty basically poison pilled the idea of "the multiverse", everything after has cribbed from it and it fricking sucks
Well, Bioshock Infinite did the multiverse no favors. Come to think of it, they both came out in 2013. How weird.
Bioshock Infinite had a shitty implementation of it, but I don't think it was big enough to really frick with the concept of it like Rick and Morty, or at least, any influence it's had isn't readily obvious like Rick and Morty.
I'm pretty sure it was Dr Who fault
Which ideas?
>Banal space bureaucracy was heavily populised by Douglas Adams in his work like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
>Time travel goes back to HG Wells.
>Multiverse stuff in comics was really populised by The Flash 1961
>TVA was in the comics in 1986.
>Loki was created as a comic book character in 1962 (or 1949 if you agree with that) and is based on mythology going back a lot further.
>Loki in the show is a variant, variants have existed every since multiverses were populised in comics, he is no where near as smart or bitter as Rick. Loki is a resourceful trickster but Rick is based on a bunch of other tropes.
>Rick and Morty rips off fantasy and science fiction all over the place and is full on references.
Either you're mentally ill, a moron or a baiting troll.
