Watch a lot of true crime docs or you know read shit on the internet or maybe books about the subjects. Police with forensics frick up all the damn time it's almost solving a crime is practically a crap shoot, maybe you get the actual killer or probably not. And I'm not even talking like 20, 30, 50 or more years ago I mean like five years ago. Cops really don't know shit. So relying on the forensics gods to help you out of a murder charge haha lol good luck with that. Some experts think modern day forensics are making most cases unsolvable not the opposite. The premise sounds okay but the reality is that the characters are somehow conveniently always in some sort of drama situation that could "end it all" but then find a way out and it's not brought up again. The show is supposed to take place in a small town and a large part of land the main family owns, with a ranch, yet somehow there are constant deaths.
It isn't just any old ranch though in the show it's basically a billion dollar ranch international companies want to develop it into a tourist town and build an airport on it

One thing I forgot to mention is that inbetween the dumb shit there is a storyline about a new ranch hand who has never experienced anything like riding horses or whatever and seeing just normal ranch stuff and this guy learning and appreciating stuff is pretty nice. Some good moments and shots of the beauty of the outdoors and untouched wilderness.
