I know?

I know Cinemaphile hates everything Pixar has made since 2007, but I for one genuinely really liked the original movie.
But just from the teaser trailer, you can tell that no one on the production team watched the original. They're just shitting this out early because Elio was delayed due to the strikes and the needed to make a quick buck.
This is gonna be another Incredibles 2 or Ralph 2

I disliked the original, but yes I can tell the sequel will either be amazing or horrible with no in between and will attempt to cash in on self diagnosed trashqueen culture.
The LAST good thing Disney did was Zootopia and if you know about the production of that youll understand that the downfall was already in full swing by then.

      >I disliked the original
I'm curious, why did you dislike the original.
I can only think of one reason to dislike it and thankfully, he died!

Not that anon. But I didn't like it because it just felt like another toy story. Two opposites find themselves lost in a strange world and have to work together to get back home. At that point, I'd rather just watch Toy Story again. Also, I was a little disappointed that we didn't focus on Riley more. Since, the initial advertising said that it would be about how the emotions helped Riley navigate her new school. It left me wondering if the plot was changed to give more time to the celebrity voice cast.

Really? I don't really see the connection between the two to be honest. To each their own I guess

The soundtrack is why I remember the first Inside Out
Same deal with Up. Non of these newer Pixar films have the same "magic" feeling in their music

    What about SOUL?

One of them is Horny, and the other is Masturbation.

Remember looking at Fandom's disney wiki many years ago and the article said it will be a sequel for it.

    >Since 2008
What are: Wall-E, Toy Story 3, and Coco?
I've never heard anyone say anything bad about those movies without being truly hyper contrarian.

Less so with Up, but I have seen a surprising amount of distaste for TS3 and Coco

I left Up out of the list because it's barely even contrarian to say that movie was severely overrated nowadays.
TS3 contrarianism seems mainly driven by the existence of TS4 (which was ass), and Coco hate is really just /misc/tards from what I've seen - not the near universal hatred aimed at Turning Red or Luca (which I think are good movies that Cinemaphile just reflexively hates)

A common criticism of Up and Wall-E is that only the beginning of those movies is great. I don't really agree but it is a widespread opinion.
For TS3, I like the movie but I think it went to far in the drama and escalation of the conflict.

Frick that mediocre piece of shit movie for stealing HTTYD's fully deserved Oscar.

Yeah, I agree. How to train your Dragon was the better movie
To be fair, even the first Inside Out should have lost to Anomalisa
And Up should have lost to Fantastic Mr. Fox, or Coraline
The Best Animated Feature award is rife with bullshit
I don't know how controversial this is but Monsters Inc should have won against Shrek, despite the latter's impact on animated films a as a whole

That year was the year I lost faith in the Oscars (yes, I know I shouldn't have ever had faith, but I was like 15 at the time).
        >HTTYD loses best animated picture to TS3
        >HTTYD loses best score to the fricking Social Network
HTTYD was absolute kino, dare I say the best animated film of the last decade despite being released only at its start

Its Disney, so I don't see why you should expect any quality from them. The story is going to be about Riley getting a bf or a rival, to give the new emotions their moments, and at the same time the old emotions are going to bond with the new emotions.

But will they frick it up with political messaging on how to tolerate subjugated person? Is someone going to be a little bit gay, or little tiny bit black, and in need of very normal and true love?
