Aside from the spaghetti code and expense of overhauling the engine, League on PC is undisputed king. No other MOBA esport comes close except Dota and even then it's miles and miles above it in terms of player base. Execs know League PC is far and away number 1 and thus can skimp out on funding for League PC development.
Wild Rift gets so much love and attention because WR is in an extremely saturated and competitive mobile market in China, which includes a lot of obvious league-knock off MOBAs. So it's this arms race of making WR clear and above the best mobile experience, while League PC can flounder away since the execs will go "pfft. and where will they go for their PC MOBA fix? DOTA? PFFFT!"
If I had to take a guess, I'd say they'll either start getting into the stuff with Noxus, or maybe stay with the criminal vibe and move over to Bilgewater
I think Arcane was one of the few shows that a majority of Cinemaphile really liked and you could tell that detractors and shitposters were having a hard time trying to derail the threads when it first aired

They were already juggling so many characters that I'm not surprised Mundo got ignored for the first season. Also, I'm expecting them to make Mundo scary as opposed to his goofy in game self. This sort of happened in the short story The Host. Singed's experiment managed to escape into the streets of Zaun, and encountered Viktor's augmented cultists. There was not a fight though.
If Mundo appears I hope they have him be Ekko's enemy. In-universe, Mundo believes Ekko is patient zero for a non-existent disease, and he wants to "cure" Ekko. Mundo fails to kill Ekko since he used time travel to survive the encounter, though shockingly Mundo is revealed to somehow remember the rewind. Ever since Mundo has been wanting to "cure" Ekko.
it's nice because in Arcane he starts off as some nameless background scientist, a second fiddle to Silco, but he'll end up having more influence than him.

The best indirect affect if Singed was how his aid of the Noxian invasion of Ionia led to Lee Sin setting himself on fire in protest, which is how he became blind. However Riot retconned that a long time ago since it is too controversial.
This isn't even including all the Ionians who took up arms indirectly thanks to his efforts.
The entire League universe is chasing Singed and they don't even know it

I remembered Maokai showed up in the Ruined King game, but I never played it and from what I've read, doesn't actually change anything about SoL except making Pyke-MF ignoring each other even more glaringly stupid.

They have long established that Noxus sends countless agents to assess and organize invasions so it is not unusual for a region to have Noxians probing the area for conquest. Nah Urgot isn't a follower for some general he's one of the biggest supporters of Darkwill the current Emperor of Noxus and had enough clout that Swain had to make sure he wasn't in the Capital during the coup hence tricking him into going to Zaun (orchestrating a feud with the Medarda's and getting him to follow them there would be an example). For clarity Urgot isn't just a headsman he's the High Executioner for the Empire and has as much military clout as a general since he used to be one.
the reason I think the big guy is urgot is to flex Medarda's status. She seems pro-Darkwill and as a show of force she can take one of noxus's headsmen as her personal bodyguard. I don't expect him to die, though him being sent might be part of swain's ploy to get him out of noxus during the coup.
there is basically nothing to know, League has like world building lore about where characters are from but it doesn't really have a story
The few things I would expect based off the characters in from the game is that Viktor needs to go full cyberpunk still and Vi needs to join the police force
The big question I would have is if we are gonna see more of other places because there are few characters from Zoun or Piltover that weren't in season 1, but if they take the story somewhere else there are literally hundreds of characters to pick and choose from.
Maybe Noxus is preparing its invasion with characters like Singed getting recruited and such but I don't see that being anything other then background secondary plot stuff
I'm expecting WW will escape at some point but won't have the vague memories of life and Viktor will send Blitzcrank to retrieve him and then there'll be a monster mash.
Singed turning the bartender guy into the werewolf, and then Viktor using the magic D20 to build a robot body and putting the soul of Singed's dead daughter Orianna into it.
And then the two of them go to war and level half the city doing Dragonball Z punches and shit.

Then we can get monsters who can tank strikes from things like the hammer so the city has to go for the next step in Hextech with Golems that can fight the monsters.

As curious as I am to see how all their decisions with making it played out, and when they played out, and how they related to changes in the game (They had to have been working together on Caitlyn's visual update), I'm always wary about these behind the scenes features.

it was weird how during the promotion of the main series the Fortiche creators were sidelined, probably because they don't speak perfect English. it was always Linke or some Riot exec talking about them, instead of them in person, despite the fact that they directed everything. only in French interviews you could actually see or read them going a bit more into specifics about the production details, although not that much.
Assuming it continues in Zaun and Piltover, with the Noxus shit staying in the background: >Urgot will show up (basically Bane from Batman, but the lower half of his body is 6 mechanical crab legs) >Warwick will show up (Werewolf that eats drug dealers), will probably team up with Vi to fight Urgot's drug dealers >Ziggs (furry midget who likes making bombs not to kill people but really only for demolition purposes) will show up and hang out with Heimerdinger, partner up with Jinx without realizing who she is, then get scolded by Heimer >Viktor will try to save injured people, fail, and become his mechanical in game self by the end of season 2 >Camille (upper class but hardy Christmas cake with knife legs) will crush my head with her thighs, and probably some Zaunites too

Ziggs in lore comes to Piltover to show off his explosives, but he gets rejected at first for his dangerous they are. I can see them changing the story to him going to Zaun to sell his stuff, especially since explosives are sometimes used for mining.

I'm really scared of what they'll do with him. Time travel is rarely done well, hopefully they stick with what's usually done with him in the lore, he can do a few minutes, maybe an hour at most.
well the good news is that ekko can't "time travel" that's zilean's thing. His Z drive essentially lets him hijack other time lines and swap over. So if he falls off a cliff he can z-drive himself to a timeline when he got there 0.5 seconds slower so he has a chance to react and catch himself. Maximum capacity in game (where they are their most powerful) is about 6 seconds and it can only jump to similar time lines. Zilean is the one who can slow down, stop, speed up, and reverse time and is currently trying to undo the void's entry into the world.

Anon got it mixed up. Ekko can't jump timelines. He just goes back in time for a few minutes to avoid paradoxes (also helps that entities like Bard won't show up to punish Ekko if he damages the fabric of space and time).
bard may or may not give a shit, but ekko isn't a time lord like the zilster. League ekko doesn't even do much time travel, mostly just returning to a previous point or zap another him in to help him stun someone.
Well, if it stays in piltover, more of the same stuff, really. Piltover probably gets overrun by Zaun and a bloody civil war takes place. Noxus swoops in during the ensuing chaos.
I do worry that the story might get too bloated when they start introducing even more characters from the game who I'm not sure if they're willing to kill off.
The Noxus storyline has to go somewhere, Urgot was written and reworked in tandem with Arcane's development. As were Twitch and Warwick, Warwick was written into the storyline and Twitch has the pink shimmer eyes implying he Singed's lab rat from part 1. There is a hook to bring Urgot into the storyline with Mel's death messing up Noxus's plans for the region, someone more serious like Urgot may be brought in to try and correct the situation for Noxus. Camille is also a definite possibility with how things are gonna be shaping up in season 2.
The only totally MIA characters from the region released before Arcane who don't have any hook are Ezreal, Janna, and Zac. Mundo could get a cameo as a shimmer addict
I am disappointed that Janna didn't at least get a mural in the background or some random background character saying a prayer to her. Kindred were able to get a reference so why not Janna?

At its core, Arcane is still steampunk themed. It could confuse audiences if there are suddenly spirits talking.
I would be fine with a cleansing breeze here and there, too real to dismiss but too fleeting to prove.
Unlikely they'll bring in that many characters, HELL. Camille is the one that killed Cait's parents, causing Cait to become an Enforcer to solve her parents' murder in main league lore, but she's not even hinted at. Because HexTech was created WAY BEFORE Jayce was even born.
Invasion of Ionia, an island nation to the east (northeast maybe?) of Zaun and Piltover. In League lore, Noxus invaded Ionia and used chemical warfare designed by Singed against them. I think that the noxians in the final act were supposed to hint this to those who are read up on League lore.
I love how Singed is the most influential character in the setting.

You don't need to know anything about League of Legend's lore to watch Arcane. Arcane is it's own Universe. The only thing it has in common with Main League is that the Champs (characters) share the same names with their League counterparts and the main factions are still there. Arcane season two is only going to focus on Piltover with some Noxus shit happening at the end so they can have a big battle.
In the Main League Lore, Cait and Vi are rooting out Noxus spies, but one got away with important information.

Poppy was able to split a giant monster clean in half with a blunt instrument. So despite her small form, she is absolutely fricking jacked. She's also kind of stupid. You'd go to hug her, and she'd hug you back, but she'd accidentally snap you in two.

So we know that Arcane has hyped up magic to be super rare, powerful and dangerous, but how will the series deal with the fact that magic is used literally everywhere else, hell Noxus has an entire legion of blood mages who bring people back to life to fight in their wars. I know Arcane is about the drama but magic played a big part in it and I think regular people watching will think the fighting over Hextech in the first season is stupid because everywhere else is filled with magic.

Magic isn't fricking everywhere you mong. Ionia was invaded BECAUSE it was magic rich, everywhere else it is a rarity borderline dangerous. Every mage in league is an outlier to their entire nation and only some of them are naturally magic. The noxian undead legion is specifically from Vladimir's hemomancy cult (total of about 1 major noble and a few cheeky upstarts) but its mostly that one noble lady and the doctor that keep the army going. Demacia's whole thing is anti-mages even if they are weak. Freljord's """"magic"""" is shamanistic spirit communication or being able to hold an ice weapon. The only natural mages in league are yordles, ionian, or freaks like lux, sylas, ryze, taliyah, annie, lissandra and leblanc.
I mean if I'm a Noxian general and I have a few mages in my army and a whole lot of non-mages in my army, I'd rather equip those non-mages with transforming shock hammers and launch them into battle on airships that can be transported anywhere in the world in moments than give them swords and horses.
Seriously, with the hexgates Noxus could be dropping loads of soldiers right on top of Demacia any time they wanted.
Stuff like the grey legion becoming mainstream would still be a bit after Arcane, if we go be leagues lore. Like in GOT where magic has always been there, but it's recently surged up.

No other MOBA esport comes close except Dota and even then it's miles and miles above it in terms of player base. Execs know League PC is far and away number 1 and thus can skimp out on funding for League PC development.
Wild Rift gets so much love and attention because WR is in an extremely saturated and competitive mobile market in China, which includes a lot of obvious league-knock off MOBAs. So it's this arms race of making WR clear and above the best mobile experience, while League PC can flounder away since the execs will go "pfft. and where will they go for their PC MOBA fix? DOTA? For clarity Urgot isn't just a headsman he's the High Executioner for the Empire and has as much military clout as a general since he used to be one.

The few things I would expect based off the characters in from the game is that Viktor needs to go full cyberpunk still and Vi needs to join the police force
The big question I would have is if we are gonna see more of other places because there are few characters from Zoun or Piltover that weren't in season 1, but if they take the story somewhere else there are literally hundreds of characters to pick and choose from.

As curious as I am to see how all their decisions with making it played out, and when they played out, and how they related to changes in the game (They had to have been working together on Caitlyn's visual update), I'm always wary about these behind the scenes features.

He could be the person who taught Jinx about explosives in the time gap. Making another parallel to Ekko who is now working with Heimerdinger.

I'm really scared of what they'll do with him. Time travel is rarely done well, hopefully they stick with what's usually done with him in the lore, he can do a few minutes, maybe an hour at most.
The most they will do is probably Nox 2.0. I trust the French on that.
well the good news is that ekko can't "time travel" that's zilean's thing. His Z drive essentially lets him hijack other time lines and swap over. So if he falls off a cliff he can z-drive himself to a timeline when he got there 0.5 seconds slower so he has a chance to react and catch himself. Maximum capacity in game (where they are their most powerful) is about 6 seconds and it can only jump to similar time lines. Zilean is the one who can slow down, stop, speed up, and reverse time and is currently trying to undo the void's entry into the world.

Well, if it stays in piltover, more of the same stuff, really. Piltover probably gets overrun by Zaun and a bloody civil war takes place. Noxus swoops in during the ensuing chaos.
I do worry that the story might get too bloated when they start introducing even more characters from the game who I'm not sure if they're willing to kill off.
The Noxus storyline has to go somewhere, Urgot was written and reworked in tandem with Arcane's development. As were Twitch and Warwick, Warwick was written into the storyline and Twitch has the pink shimmer eyes implying he Singed's lab rat from part 1. There is a hook to bring Urgot into the storyline with Mel's death messing up Noxus's plans for the region, someone more serious like Urgot may be brought in to try and correct the situation for Noxus. Camille is also a definite possibility with how things are gonna be shaping up in season 2.
The only totally MIA characters from the region released before Arcane who don't have any hook are Ezreal, Janna, and Zac. Mundo could get a cameo as a shimmer addict

Invasion of Ionia, an island nation to the east (northeast maybe?) of Zaun and Piltover. In League lore, Noxus invaded Ionia and used chemical warfare designed by Singed against them. I think that the noxians in the final act were supposed to hint this to those who are read up on League lore.

You don't need to know anything about League of Legend's lore to watch Arcane. Arcane is it's own Universe. The only thing it has in common with Main League is that the Champs (characters) share the same names with their League counterparts and the main factions are still there. Arcane season two is only going to focus on Piltover with some Noxus shit happening at the end so they can have a big battle.
In the Main League Lore, Cait and Vi are rooting out Noxus spies, but one got away with important information.

So we know that Arcane has hyped up magic to be super rare, powerful and dangerous, but how will the series deal with the fact that magic is used literally everywhere else, hell Noxus has an entire legion of blood mages who bring people back to life to fight in their wars. I know Arcane is about the drama but magic played a big part in it and I think regular people watching will think the fighting over Hextech in the first season is stupid because everywhere else is filled with magic.

The fact that mages are not that rare doesn't change the introduction of magic to the normal person without any type of training is a game changer.
Magic is not allowed in an entire region and the others aren't exactly great ambassadors of it. Maybe Bandle City but I don't know if humans are allowed.
The real benefit of hextech is that you do not need to be a mage to use it, and it does what you expect it to do consistently. Even Noxians who like you said have blood mages and necromancy and fricking demon shit are interested in the practicality of hextech weaponry.

Add to that the scaling potential of hextech. Magic may be common but powerful magic is not, and hextech may be designed to mimic such power with enough fuel. Would be easier to control too, unlike mages who can go rogue.
Magic isn't fricking everywhere you mong. Ionia was invaded BECAUSE it was magic rich, everywhere else it is a rarity borderline dangerous. Every mage in league is an outlier to their entire nation and only some of them are naturally magic. The noxian undead legion is specifically from Vladimir's hemomancy cult (total of about 1 major noble and a few cheeky upstarts) but its mostly that one noble lady and the doctor that keep the army going. Demacia's whole thing is anti-mages even if they are weak. Freljord's """"magic"""" is shamanistic spirit communication or being able to hold an ice weapon. The only natural mages in league are yordles, ionian, or freaks like lux, sylas, ryze, taliyah, annie, lissandra and leblanc.

I mean if I'm a Noxian general and I have a few mages in my army and a whole lot of non-mages in my army, I'd rather equip those non-mages with transforming shock hammers and launch them into battle on airships that can be transported anywhere in the world in moments than give them swords and horses.
Seriously, with the hexgates Noxus could be dropping loads of soldiers right on top of Demacia any time they wanted.
Stuff like the grey legion becoming mainstream would still be a bit after Arcane, if we go be leagues lore. Like in GOT where magic has always been there, but it's recently surged up.
