1941 is by very far his most underrated
me too. he is one of the good ones because he has genuinely good intentions. he is not there to subvert us. even his holocaust drama is full of his innocence.
I will give him a pass on Schindlers List because the 90s was a peak time, but when he started hooking up with Tony Kushner, making Munich, Lincoln, WSS, The Post, and Ready Player One, he took a dark fricking turn into subversion.
He's a kino machine and blocks scenes and makes visuals like nobody else.
But we can't have a nice thread about him, the schizo chuds are always present.
