>I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve.

>I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

This hit so hard, bros. Never had any close friends after I was a teenager. Can anyone else here relate?

    Well duh.

If you're a grown man hanging around with 12 year old boys there is something deeply wrong and the police need to get involved.

I still have them. A phonecall away. But our lives have run in divergent paths. We have a shared past, but that's about it.

But yeah, I miss the days when we were the five musketeers. I would've liked to stay like that for some time longer.

We still hang out cause we're all fricking poor. Middle class and upper class problems.
      >boo hoo I had to move away and lost all my friends
Just be fricking poor. Same group of buddies for 25 years.

man this is so true. my friends are all in Calgary, poor, working as baristas and waiters, but hanging out every day. I left to the much more beautiful Vancouver to get a good tech job and don't really hangout with anyone.
gotta wonder if it was worth it

They couldn't have been that close of they all went their separate ways.
I still only have my core 2-4 friends I made in elementary school. We're all adults mostly living in different states/towns but we all have a discord together and normal call/text each other pretty regularly. Still find an excuse to see most of them a few times a year at least

I had a buddy when I was between 7-11. After that we lost touch because we went to different schools and I can say I never had an actual friend after that. I'm 36 now.

Had a best friend in my early 20s. Did everything together. His wife came onto me, and I was so lonely and desperate for female attention, I reciprocated. Didn't think about my bro, what it would do to their marriage or our friendship.

Look back and still marvel over what an ethicless piece of shit I turned into for just an iota of female attention. Don't feel bad for fricking up their marriage. He could do better and I'm certain I wasn't her only one. Feel bad that I betrayed friend. He deserved better.

I’ve had a number of friends at different stages of my life, but they’re simply that. We stop talking as soon as they or I move somewhere else.

Now, I live alone, and I’ve only got one friend who I hang out with for a few hours maybe once or twice a month. It’s all of my own volition though, I never really go anywhere when I’m not going to work or going grocery shopping. I’ve also gotten emails from friends from past times, but I never respond, because I’ve honestly got nothing to talk about. I almost feel like I’ve got some low level form of agoraphobia that seems to be intensifying as I get older, and I’m able to push down just enough for certain essential tasks.

Not uncommon for dudes. If you've never gone to war, the strongest bond you'll share with other guys will be with those you grew up with. And even if it's been years or decades since you've last seen them, there's that feeling you'd be best buds again if you ran into them on the street. But yeah, guys lead lonely lives, even with wives and girlfriends.

38, still have lots of friends I hang with.

If you have no friends, question 1, are you a white liberal male that cuts people off at the drop of a hat for being some kind of bad thing the media wants you to hate? Because everyone else hates whites and white women are not real friends and nearly all other white men will be guilty of something you hate. Consider that you may be alone because you have isolated yourself from your people.

I have isolated myself, but it's been the result of moving numerous times. A lot of people consider me right wing. I have people I stay in touch with, but making new friends isn't something I even attempt. Your average person isn't that interesting and doesn't share my interests.

Isn't it awkward to just call up people to hang out though? I run into the same people in the bars I frequent but wouldn't call them friends. Still have a buddy from Kindergarten in another and we take our wives to a concert maybe once or twice a year, otherwise never see him and communicate infrequently via text.

the amount of lowlifes that I put up with because they lived in the neighborhood or because they were friends of friends is baffling. lots of suffering and misery could have been avoided and prevented if you just look out for negative traits. pathological lying, unscrupulous stealing, scamming, malicious and hurtful verbal attacks. they should warn kids about enviousness of others happiness. first time a got a girlfriend several of them wanted nothing more than for me to break up with her because they didn't have one. be wary of bitter people that want to sabotage your joy and happiness.
