She's wearing short pants. That is no lady.
I have irritable bowel syndrome after being vaxxed.
Funny, I added 20kg to my bench and 30kg to my squat after I got it. Must be your inferior genetics that is the problem.
>t. fat fuck
Why don't you give this thread the ol' 23 Skidoo before you shit it up
Short men rank lower than women socially.
This is the girl who had 90% of her scenes cut or trimmed down because she was overshadowing Lauren Bacall who they were trying to turn into a star lol
They mostly just added Bacall scenes because she had married Bogart and their relationship was a big selling point.
Nope. Read up about it.
>To capitalize on the "Bogie and Bacall" phenomenon that had developed, Bacall's agent Charles K. Feldman asked the studio to re-shoot scenes for The Big Sleep. Warner agreed, and these scenes were shot in early January 1946.
Continue reading up about it, dumb ass.
That's literally it despite your headcanon.
Everything I hear about early cinema is just about how petty everyone was
Boy what a dame!
>OY VEY, A SHIKSA OVERSHADOWING ME??
>neayh see, doll; Baccal gives much better head and Mr. Warner has her put down in the five year star plan
I believe there's an alternate pre-release version that you can watch, I never have
Women who playfully undermine your masculinity are hot
>who knew their pla-
You won't find many women like that in cinema. Even early cinema.
Someone pointing out that Bogart is short is literally a trope in his noir movies.
Hot women are still put on a pedestal back then, it was that they have much limited reach since there was no social media so most women would be stuck with what's there around
Cinema loved femme fatales and strong independent women back then.
because they were different and exciting, now every girl is trying to be witty and sassy and it is annoying since most of them are actually stupid and weak minded.
There's something special mix of the fashion of the time, and the general womanly vibe from this era. Women had a subtle confidence about them, and the fashion just helped to add to the modesty without being overly puritanical.
You don't see shit like that anymore.
>You don't see shit like that anymore.
You see it still in Asia. Women who go there talk about how modestly dressed Japanese women are.
Yeah, but they lack the confidence.
The days of Mary Ann and Ginger are dead.
Within the context of the film the line is supposed to highlight her ill-manner. She's depicted as a rich girl of reckless morals, which get her into trouble.
Is this what all the chudery on this board is all about? Radicalized manletism?
Lmaooo
You're not supposed to take offense to something like this because back then all guys got married, short and tall alike. It didn't matter that much.
Who is the Dawn Wells of modern day?
Wasn't she supposed to be a whore in the book lol
It's also implied in the movie, yes.
She's a cute.
but I was always in a dilemma between OP's and the bookstore girl
>spank the bookstore girl
>get spanked by the girl questioning your height
They don't make em like they used to.
Bookstore girl all the way
The Big Sleep was co-written by Leigh Brackett. She solo wrote The Long Goodbye, another Philip Marlowe story.
All he famous Marlowe books are amateurish lowbrow trash in the first place but the 70s Long Goodbye does a rare job by turning it into just infuriating trash that has no redeeming qualities.
Hammett is mostly trash too but Maltese Falcon is the rare success in that field.
