I firmly believe that Korrasami was a last ditch attempt to have the series remembered as good and "important." Yurigays and women on the internet have been Korra's PR team ever since the show ended, because of a single scene. Korra discourse would practically not exist without it.

ATLA is for kids and Korra is for early to mid teenagers.
I didn't get around to watching them until I was over 30 so I didn't like them a whole lot but they made me feel nostalgic. I'd totally recommend them both to younger people and if I had kids I'd watch ATLA with them.

people need to start viewing production companies almost like bands, you need a certain mix of people to get a good product. Even 1 person leaving in a production (or a band) can mean the entire thing gets fricked. It’s all lightning in a bottle.

I tried rewatching it from the beginning and only made it halfway through the first season. It really is a Y7 Nick cartoon at the end of the day, I don't know why I expected it to be any different. Sometimes it's better to let childhood memories stay that way.

I think Korra was the first show I was aware enough that I could actually hear the discussion behind the scenes between the producers and the writers trying to steer this mess of a ship. I will say that it does have some rewatchability due to just how fricked up it turned out in comparison to its much better predecessor.
